The mouse sits behind his silently for a few minutes without doing anything, and Kuro wonders what he's up to. 'I swear if he slaps me on the back for fun those guards won't be able to save him him before I tear that cute little face off' Knowing very well that it is exactly what one of his sisters is more likely to do than an angel does not stop him from peeking over his shoulder to make sure he's not planning anything devious. However devious seems to be the furthest thing from his mind as the little guy leans in and whispers to him before rushing out of the cell. He eyes the med kit, wondering if there's anything to amuse himself with while the boy is gone, however after flexing his back a bit he decides not to even try. 'Yeah, too much trouble'

Listening tot he guards talk Kuro wonders for a minute if they are right, if he just ran off. 'Nah, that thing is too pure for something like that. I don't think he'd lie to save his life. Maybe someone else, but not his own' Feeling odd at putting so much faith in an angel of all things Kuro shakes his head, reaching up to run his fingers over a few of his healed wounds. 'They are right about one thing though, he did do a good job. These old ones are basically gone, and the newer ones aren't in danger of opening again. All except. . .' He flinches again as pain radiates through his back. That wound isn't going to go away for quite some time. He lifts his head slightly at the sound of someone approaching and turns in time to see the bewildered looks on his guards' faces.

'Haha, I win the bet we never made' he thinks, watching the red head slide the key in the lock, sliding the door aside once it's unlocked. The clink of the basin on stone draws his attention from the curious guards down to the lightly lapping water. He stares at it for a moment, listening to the angel without looking at him. When he pushes it closer then moves away a smile creases his lips and Kuro lets out a sigh. “Yeah, thanks for the privacy, not that I'd mind you watching. It's those peeping toms over there that I'm more worried about. They might just kill me out of jealously.” The green haired one flares up again but this time the red head warns him off. Rolling his eyes at the display Kuro reaches over and carefully picks up the towel, doing his best to wring it out one handed.

It's slow going, the joints in his shoulder and writs still very sore from being hung for so long so often. There hadn’t been a days rest between interrogations and he's sure by the end of next week they are both just going to pop out of socket and stay there. When it comes to his legs he stretches them out as carefully as possible, but a few growls still find their way out at the ache in them. First laying on the cold floor, then having them folded against the hard stone with his weight pressing into them leaves them rather abused feeling. 'This is nothing compared to my back, but man, I hate sore joints. . .' He does his best to reach every part of his legs but after a good half an hour he gives up on the backs of his thighs.

Throwing the towel into the basin, turning the water quickly a sickening mix of gray and red, Kuro calls out to the small angel. “I obviously cant get my back and would likely just end up tearing it up more back there, so you come over hear and deal with the mess your kin made of it.” Turning slowly to the side he mutters, “M'too tired to keep sitting up right now” And with that he lays down face down, parallel to the wall opposite the little angel. “Oh, and if you're serious about helping, I could get to all of my legs, so have at it. . .” His voice grows lower, softer as he lets out a long sigh. “And don't worry about the cold. I like the cold. . . .” From the door he hears one of the guards ask the other what Kuro had said, but neither of them could hear him properly.
Dun' worry, I know what Alexi will order, and it works. Yeah, he can wear normal pants. *Shurgs* Conversations will go where they go :P
I'm sure you'll at least find it interesting when it comes, but I really can't tell you since you asked me not to :P If we keep up this speed, it may not take as long as you think *Smile* Feel free to keep theorizing, it's fun to watch :P

And the reason is funk. Alexi designed a line of clothing for vampires in need of breaking because whether it be the ankles, or wrists, or both, normal cloths will not be an option, and with the time it takes to break a vamp the smell would be overwhelming. Sure, some people just have the vamps nude, but even that would get stinky after a while with all the stuff they go through. It's easier to just buy some clothes that can be put on without having to take of the manacles! Hand washing is still a necessity for a truly unfunky smelling vamp slave in the making, but the options of some nice fashionable atire is too much for a lot of rich families to pass up :P
With a light sigh Sylus shits down his computer, pushing his chair back a bit so he can stand. 'It's been a long day, but at last I think I'm ready for tomorrow' The printer by the door spits out the last sheet of paper Sylus sent to it for printing and falls silent as he walks over to it. Picking up the stack he switches his light off, killing the TV displays in the process leaving him in complete darkness before he steps out into the hall outside his office. Holding out his hand he nods as a binder of sorts gets placed into his hand by Kesh. “You returned the ball?”

Kesh nods rapidly, “Yes sir, as you asked I made sure he'd sent the reports first.” On Sylus's other side Jully waits until her boss looks over the binder before handing both the binder and the stack of papers to her.

“Two sheets per sleeve, back to front, like a restaurant menu.” She nods at his order and hurries off to her desk to set to work. Kesh on the other hand follows his boss as he walks down the hall to the elevator. Knakeshta van Hymulsa was the top of his class in business school, determined to own his own business strait out of collage. He'd taken a job at an agency for, what he called, some work experience, but the one day he was criticized for being a little aimless, and not showing any initiative. IN an effort to prove them wrong he tried doing something on his own, and the result was a loss in one of the company's biggest clients. Looking up at Sylus Kesh recalls how interview after interview he was rejected, but then he came to this place. His interview didn't go well, but on his way out he bumped quite literally into Sylus.

Immediately Kesh could tell he had run into a very important person, the girl at his side glaring down at him for an instant before looking to the tall male, asking I he was okay. The man however seemed to recognize him and without hesitation he knelt down and helped him to his feet. Kesh wanted to flee as fast as possible, but the black clad man wouldn't let go of his hand. As he looked up into those sharp eyes he felt so frightened but he did his best to not let it show. “What did you do to lose the client?”

The question shocked him, doing nothing to assuage his fear. However there was no contempt in the man's voice, only a pure and honest curiosity. Unable to think of anything better to say he'd summoned up all his courage and replied, “I did my best!” Sure he was going to get laughed at he braced himself. However the only response he got was a raised eyebrow, the look mirrored on the girl by his side. The man had released his hand and Kesh had all but bolt out of the building. However that evening there was a call, he'd gotten a job a the Takashi agency! When he came in the next day he'd been shown to a desk however he was not there more than a minute when he'd noticed just who was at the desk right next to his.

He tried to ignore her, but after five minute she stood and pulled him out of his chair. He had raised a few objections but a moment later he spotted the tall man from before. The girl had dumped a bunch of folders into his arms and shoved him to Sylus's other side while so took up her position at Sylus's right elbow. Mimicking her at his other elbow he's walked with them for a while before the man addressed him directly. “Kesh, the finacials from august to october.” Almost automatically his eyes fell to the folders in his arms and in a flash he had them out and over to Sylus. “Thanks, now later I need you to correlate the rest and get the findings to the finance board, they are doing projections.” And just like that Kesh became Sylus's invaluable left hand in the company. While officially he's just a secretary or assistant, Kesh holds more sway over the company than all the section heads combined.

'I will never forget this opportunity he's giving me, to work here near the top' He finishes giving his reports for the day, Sylus giving him a couple more things to do before he can go home as he steps off the elevator. Kesh knows that he should stay on the elevator, Sylus wanting to do his nightly check on his own as always. “Yes sir, I'll make sure the reports are in.” He bows, reaching over to press the down button.

“Kesh, one last thing.” His hand pauses and he looks at his boss curiously. “Once Jully is done with her task I'd like you to bring the binder up here and place it on the desk up here for the newbie. Make sure it's in plain sight.” Kesh bows again, a smile on his lips as he presses the bottom and vanishes for view.

Sylus makes his way into the large office at the end of the hall and lets out a huge sigh at the sight that greets him. Marius always wakes long before anyone else, working all day starting a good four hours before the first person even comes into work, which of course is Sylus himself. That being the case Sylus finds his dear friend in his current state more often than not. Marius is half laid on on his desk, his arms wrapped around to either side of his head, his face pressed firmly against the wooden surface. Under one hand is an open folder, his finger still pointing to a specific line, while his other hand rests lightly on his keyboard. Striding over Sylus glances at the screen and counts his blessings that other then a few odd letters at the very end all is well with whatever he was working on. He can not count the nights he's come into a mess of several pages of the same letter running on and on because he fell asleep on his keyboard with a key pressed.

The smaller male is rather light, for Sylus at least, and he carefully lifts him up off the desk and picks him up into both arms. Making his way tot he plain door on the side of the room he maneuvers it open and slips inside. The small room is little bigger then one of the smaller offices on the lowest floors, with just enough room for a small sink and some cupboards along one wall, a small closet with a clothes rack along the back wall, and to the left is a queen sized bed in an alcove. The alcove doesn't have a low ceiling so Sylus has no problem leaning in to set his old friend down on the soft surface. 'You work too hard, moron' he chides silently, slowly stripping off Marius's layers until he's down to his unders. Like an exasperated mother he watches as the grown man rolls around in his sleep, whining until Sylus can get the covers over him. “Bakairou.” he mutters fondly before ruffling his hair and heading out. As he passes the secretary's desk out in the hall he smiles at the sight of the leather bound black binder sitting on the middle of the desk. Glancing over the cover he chuckles lightly and makes his way to the elevator. “How to handle the President indeed.” he murmurs softly.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Marius wakes the next morning with a long sigh. He managed to not fall out of bed, but now his legs are so tangled in his sheets that when he tries to move he feels a twinge in his hip. With a few little grunts and growls he manages to free himself, his sheets now bunched up in mass at the end of his bed. 'I win!' he thinks fuzzily, his brain not quite working yet. As he stands up and begins getting ready for the day he has the nagging feeling that he's forgetting something important. It's not until he dressed and making his bed that it hits him. “That's right! New secretary today!” He smiles and finished folding his blankets at the foot of his bed. Putting them there makes it easier on Sylus, and Marius knows it. 'Let it not ever be said that I am not a kind boss' With that he slides out of the room, closing the door carefully before flipping on his coffee machine to heat the water he poured in it before sitting down to his last report the night before.

As his clawed hands slide down to scrub off the blood that had managed to soak through the knees of the boy's pajama bottoms Vaan smiles as the little one goes strait to work on what he asked him to do. 'I wonder if he'll be this obedient when the shock wears off. It's obvious he's still a little out of it, but I hope he doesn't become a holy terror like some of the brats around town' He continues to hum, removing all traces of his parent's blood from the child’s legs and face, then he leans back slightly to watch the little one finish. He smiles as he looks over his arms and hands for any sign of blood before dropping the rag and putting his hands out to Vaan for help. Bringing his hands up he stays still as the boy climbs out of the tub, making sure he doesn't slip.

The feel of the thin skin against his own tough yet soft hide makes him sigh. 'Can I really do this? I mean, I could break him on accident. That skin if so easily broken right now. I know he'll toughen up as he grows, but can I really keep from hurting him until then?' His mind wanders over what would happen if he harmed the boy on accident,. Seeing him run to his neighbors in tears, telling his secret. . . He shakes his head, dismissing the thought. 'I'll just have to make sure he knows not only how important it is to not tell anyone, but that I don't mean to hurt him if I ever do. I'm sure I can explain it to him. It shouldn't be too hard' He watches the boy wrap himself up in a clean towel then turn to look at him once more.

'After all, he seems to trust me so much already. . .' His head tilts slightly at the child’s question and he reaches past the little one to grab another towel. Plopping it down on the top of his head Vaan uses the corners to start drying his face before replying. “Well Daniel, my name is Vaanrasha, Vaan for short, but you can call me Papa if you like.” He doesn't really expect the kid to ever call him that, but he can not help smiling at the idea. “Because from now on that's what I'm going to be to you.” His voice becomes softer as he finishes drying his little face. Sliding the towel off his small head he smiles, his fangs showing ever so slightly. “I'm going to take care of you, and keep you safe. I'm going to take you away from here, and bring you somewhere where you don't have to be afraid.”

Scooping up the little one again he carries the boy down the hall to the room that looked like a child's bedroom, setting him down on the soft plush carpet. As his eyes wander around the room he murmurs, “Go ahead and put something on. We can't have you outside in naught but you skin now can we?” Chuckling lightly at the idea he stands in the doorway and waits for the boy to say he's ready. While he's standing there he reviews his contract one last time before he thoughts drift over to his own family. 'This is definitely going to be interesting. It's not like I have any idea what I'm doing, save for what I've observed over the years. My own family is messed up even by demon standards. . .'
Alexi doesn't even honor the vampires little outburst with a response, simply continuing to sip his wine while he waits for something actually worth a reply. 'Such a rowdy little thing. He seems to say whatever comes to mind. Must be so nice to be able to speak like that. I on the other hand have no choice but to control myself a little more than that' His eyebrow raises from his second question though, the tone behind his cussing not lost on the younger Vandros. Looking over his glass at Erik Alexi take a little time to contemplate his response. 'I can not be completely honest here, but I think I should do my best'

With a light breathy noise Alexi sets aside his glass and shift on to his stomach, facing his captive with his head propped up on his hands. “I have my reasons for having you in here with me, not the least of which is that by my research this is one of the fastest ways to complete the breaking.” He smiles, his feet coming up to kick gently. “Something about having food so close and unable to eat it, then of course since I am binding you to me, having to smell my blood all the time will make you more hungry for mine specifically.” His tone is a little light, but he tries his best to not sound as if he’s relishing the prospect or what he's about to put the poor vampire through.

Rolling on to his back, his arms stretched out over his head he lets out a grunt. “Also, it's far more convenient for me to have you here. See, I would like to actually have some conversations with you. After all, we both have the same goals, though mine are not only more devious, but guaranteed to work.” Alexi's voice stops a little sort, then a moment later he lets out a sigh. “Well, at least the half of my plans that run parallel to you own. The other half. . .” He rolls back over to look into his captive's eyes. “The other half I'm not so sure, but I hope it does. . .” He chuckles lightly, his body stretching out flat, his head turned slightly to the side as one arm falls to dangle over the edge. “Listen to me, hoping. I've never had to hope for anything before. I've always gotten what I want, but this time I won't even get to see if it works. . . .”
The little fairy's sobs slow down, turning mostly to hiccups as his tears to seem to be coming to a stop. Seishu lets his hands run down his back, over and over, like one of his own minion children when they are upset. However when he feels his dear counterpart coming closer to the door he lets his hands fall to his side, and he braces himself in anticipation of what he's sure is about to happen. Despite being prepared for it Seishu still lets out a small noise, the air rushing from his lungs as the little minion rockets off him like, well, a rocket, flying across the room to crash into his own Guardian. Hearing the desperate pleading the Nightmare Guardian rolls his eyes but keeps his comments to himself. 'Oh cool it Little Bite, he's going to forgive you. I mean come on, he's willing to forget for a while how many I've killed of his precious little underlings to let me stay here. There's no way he's not going to forgive one of hi own for a stupid mistake, no matter the disastrous consequences'

Turning his attention down to his own body Seishu can see the bruise from Lillium blast already beginning to form over his wrists, and he had no doubt it's going to run up both arms and probably his face and legs. His block had, for the most part, saved his chest and other important parts of his body, so he is in no real danger at the moment, but the soreness sin his face makes him groan. 'Enasi, let's sleep, right now. Let's sleep until this is all healed so I don't have to see this face of mine. . . .' Knowing his thoughts are running a little vain he groans again and lets out a sigh, covering his eyes with an arm.

At the sound of Enasi's voice his head turns, still hidden mostly beneath his arm, but with one eye he can see him patting the boy's head like a good little puppy. “Oh good, you kissed and made up, and I managed to miss the whole thing. My day is looking up!” Rue manages a giggle at the pointed joke, shifting even closer to Enasi if that's even possible. Seishu rolls his eye and turns his head back to the ceiling, his arm blocking out the world for a few more blissful moments before the door opens and his peace is shattered. His arm drop back to his side and he watches Crios examine the belt. Without looking at his other half he nods. “Yeah, hurt like hell to. I think I did it wrong, but it's working so, meh.” He looks to Rue for a moment, then back to the doctor. Crios follows the movement, but despite his curiosity he decides not to comment.

“I'm sure you did do it wrong, and by that tone in your voice, you're still feeling a lot of pain.” It's not a question and without a word he pulls a second syringe and walks over to the other side of the bed from where Enasi is sitting so he doesn't block the guardians' views of each other. As he sinks the needle in Seishu hisses in pain but Crios ignores it, earning him a little growl that fades quickly. “Can you tell me what you were hit with? If I know I may be able to help better.”

Seishu lets out a sigh as the needle is pulled from his arm. “Lillium fights with compacted air. She hit me with, one of her strongest hits yet. It was very well executed.” Both Crios and Harper look at him with differing levels of amazement and confusion as he praises her attack on her guardian. He ignores them, knowing they wouldn't understand. “She wraps her energy around the air, drawing it in tight until it's almost dense enough to see, then propels it with a hard strike of her own energy at high speeds. Like a really big invisible punch if you like.” Crios nods after a minute, getting the concept, his mind lacing together ideas of how to help him.

While he's thinking of what to do next, helping Seishu out of his armor and underclothes, Harper steps from the shadows and addresses the Nightmare Guardian. “We've decided on a new system when it come to you Night.” He says, suppressing a cringe as he realizes he' honestly just adopted Crios's nickname for the guardian. Seishu raises and eyebrow in question and he holds up a hand as he notices Rue getting excited. “We just got approval from Lord Enasi to put together your own little team of dream denizens who's task it will be to keep you safe.”

Seishu laughs, stiffed a bit by his skin tight undershirt over his head and the accompanying pain that goes with it. “And how is that suppose to work. It's not like even if you order them to that they'll be able to do the job effectively from a hundred yards away.”

It's then that Rue looks to Harper for permission to explain, the recent events having made the little minion more humble. As the shirt slides off with a sharp gasp from Seishu the rabbit may motions that he's free to speak. Scooting around so he's a little closer to Seishu, but still in contact with Enasi the little fairy pipes up. “This team will be made of people like me, and Crios, and Harper, and Lord Enasi. There has to be more like us around, who don't mind you. . . Well, being you, heh.” It's there that Harper takes over again.

“We've already found a few potential prospects. A couple who were in the clash and who reportedly didn't have a problem defending you when you and your minions flew off to God know where. And I also found a young minion who seems curious about you, almost like Rue was at the beginning.” Crios raises an eyebrow at Harper for not giving him the credit for the plant twins, but has no time to address it as more and more of the purpling flesh is revealed beneath him. As he slowly begins working off Seishu's pants he sees the guardian's hand go up to his mouth where he sinks his fangs so far into a finger that it starts bleeding.

Harper pauses to let his regain himself, a touch of sympathy finding it's way in at the sight now laid out before them. With a hisses breath Seishu pulls his finger from his mouth and looks to the general. “May I assume I get a choice in this, Hops,” he says, emphasizing the creature's nickname, “or are you going all master and commander on me?”

Even Harper can tell he's teasing now, masking a legitimate question. “I assume that you'll meet with each candidate and yes, I'm sure if they don't pass your approval that they will not be assigned to you. I can't see you pulling up with beings you don't see as worthy of the task of defending you oh great pain in the backside.” Seishu chuckles at the reply but otherwise stays silent, the air on his wounds almost worse than his tight clothing.

Crios motions to his last bit of clothing, some boxers he'd thought to add to his outfit in case something like this happened again, but Seishu shakes his head. “Nah Doc. I made sure to protect my jewels. Can't have that out of order no matter the situation, and with that blow I may have just lost them there on the spot. Lillium has never been big on holding back from striking where it hurts if you know what I mean.” Crios rolls his eyes and finishes compiling the list of salves and other things he thinks he'll need. Leaving Seishu there on the bed he excuses himself to go get what he needs.

With a loud bang the door to the infirmary crashes open. The staff all turn to the noise, but quickly continue with their work as Gin charges through them like a thunderstorm. His footsteps seem to almost crackle as he moves swiftly from bed to bed, seeking out the specific minion he's looking for. When at last he spots the tell tale spikes of a Dread Slayer he pushes past the medics surrounding her and looks down upon the sight that greets him. The doctors have managed to stop the bleeding but it's obvious from the blood soaked armor and sheets that she's lost a lot of it. “Excuse me sir.” A minotaur looking doctor, a good two heads taller than Gin, pushes past him and another doctor to lean in with some static energy.

The charge of it pulls a scream from the girl and Gin can feel his anger boiling. “When will she be ready!? I need this minion to answer some questions, there are these ridiculous rumors flying about and I-” He's cut off by another doctor, a fairly simply looking minion with red hair chimes in.

“Forgive me sir but she may not survive the next two minutes if you don't let us do our work. She lost a lot of blood, and her system seems to be in shock for more than one reason.” The minion looks away from Gin quickly and he fumes, unsure what he wants more, the information from Lillium, or to take off the head of this impertinent minion.

Filo and Feena race through the forest at top speed, missing branches and trees that would tear their wings out at that speed should they mess up and strike them. However the two are expert fliers and while Feena isn't as maneuverable as her brother she has no problem following the well flown aerial path through the dark foliage. They bank hard past a man eating three, almost giggling at it once again reaches out to try and snag them as they pass like always. The nightmare realm can be a very dangerous place, even for it's own denizens, unless one knows where to avoid or are traveling with the guardian himself.

With a sudden snap of wings the come to an abrupt halt. From the trees eyes look out at them and they wait patiently for the okay to continue. A long tentacle arm slithers out from behind some branches and motions that they are free to go. Their faces are well known enough around camp that further inspection is unnecessary. With a nod they strike out once more, slowing down quite a bit as they do not want to run into any other airborne minions on their way into camp. As soon as they break into the open area they spot Kaila in the distance, attending to some injured minions and they both drop low to the ground for the rest of the trip to his side. Snapping her wings out to break they watch as the sound draws their temporary leader's attention and as they finally make touchdown Kaila stands and looks to them with a questioning stare.
*Slow grin* Ignore the shiftiness, these are not the droids you're looking for *Waves hand like Obiwan*. Kukukuku, and no, it wouldn't work. Feel free to have him ask though!
No problem. I hope James will come to like the little pets I made *Grin*
