His eyes go back to Joseph when he begins reading his text aloud, and can not help but laugh. 'Not only does my brother order me to come see him, threatening me with the blame for getting fired, but my own head servant orders me to comply. What and odd household I live in. I wonder, who is the master here again?' He chuckles lightly, fully aware that his eccentricities are causing problems for his loved ones, but also feeling no real urge to change that fact now. 'It works, and even if they suffer now, and even if they suffer later. I know I am doing the right thing' “Okay Joseph, we shall do just that. . .” he murmurs quietly. He then turns his focus on to Erik, letting his emotions flow naturally so that the first dose will be properly effective. He does not even look to his arm as he feels the needle pierce his flesh, instead keeping his eyes locked on the captive.

He does not look away, keeping all of his focus on the vampire, not wanting to miss a moment of what is to happen next. He responds to the smile with one of his own, the warm grin staying in place even after the rebel leader's attention turns inwards after drinking the mixture. 'Took a little while for it to kick in fully, I wonder. . .' Alexi is not left wondering long and he slips off the bed with an ever widening smile at the effect the exchange seems to have on him. 'It looks as if the feelings are being well received. . . .Either that or he is just being overwhelmed by them. . .Either is fine as far as I am concerned'

He can not suppress the open laugh at the sight of Joseph being pulled into a strong hug, by the force of it looking to almost lift the elder off his feet, the added touch of the kiss adding new delight to Alexi's gaze. 'Beautiful. . .' Hi is ill prepared however when the vampire turns on him with the same treatment, his weak body little defence against the fierceness of the hug, however he does his best to hug back, his heart picking up to an incredible pace at the sweet kiss to his cheek. He flushes brightly as the other lets him go. Not in embarrassment, but in true glowing joy. Other than the smile and the flush however, Alexi does not seem all that different that usual, however being released from the hug he practically falls to his rump on the bed unable to keep his feet.

Giggling a bit Alexi at last looks away, if only for an instant, to give Joseph a warm 'See what I meant?' smile before turning his attention back to Erik as he begins speaking. His smile shrinks a bit as he recalls what happened the night before, however he waves it off with a playful pout. “Aww, I told you before, it only hurt me because of the kinds of feelings I received mixed with the intensity of them. . . .You may be noticing that after the initial surge my feelings feel quite. . .Dull compared to your own. Yours on the other hand. . .” He presses hand over his solar plexus like someone who has heartburn. “I can still feel them gnawing at me. . .Your feelings are so much stronger than my own. . .” His voice trails off around the end and his eyes fall to the ground as his feet begin kicking softly. His eyes light up once more as he looks to Erik. “It's one of the things I admire about you.” he says softly, dismissing his own discomfort.

Rolling out of his comfy chair Uwin races to the servant's quarter’s bathing area for his morning wash. He's running a little late, but he knows he has more than enough time to get through with his morning routine without looking rushed. He waves to the other slaves, a few of them looking at him funny. Those who still find him odd are new, having very little experience of what it's like to be a slave to Master Alexi. Even some of the older ones find him odd, however they also seems to admire his spirit. Despite his position as slave, Uwin always looks as if he couldn't be happier. After his quick scrub down he dresses in the uniform one of the cleaning servants always has ready for him and with a bow, he races off to his waiting room, his breakfast already waiting for him.

'These guys are good!' He can not help but laugh a bit, feeling almost like a master himself with all the service the other slaves provide him because of his position as head driver for Alexi Vandros. Munching down his salad, complete with honey and lily petals, he pulls out the daily planner to once more make sure he has memorized the contents before settling back for some relaxing music Alexi had found him years ago of a choir, singing in his native language. He lets out a long sigh, and despite his lowly place in the world, the spry wood elf slave feels content.
Okay, need a quick answer to this - "and gave him a bear hug, kissing him firmly on the forehead. Then he turned and hugged Alexi the same way, though he left off the kiss on the cheek this time."

Does this mean he didn't kiss Alexi and you just wrote the wrong body part, or does it mean Erik left a kiss on Alexi's cheek? I already wrote it up with the kiss, but I can change if there wasn't one.
*Absolutely dies laughing* LOVE IT!
Seishu chuckles at the big questioning eyes of the fairy, making short work of his breakfast as he barely chews. He ruffles the little one's hair, pushing him back to eating his food. “Yes, wait until you're all here. I'm sure you all wanna hear about it. . .” Seishu is sure no one misses the naughty undertones to his voice, however he turns his full attention on to the meal, ignoring the rest of the room for the most part.

Starla rolls over, a tangle of vines retracting, the flowers around his opening happily at the sight of her waking. From his sleeping place up in the tree Finn calls out a greeting before dropping down and walking over to his sister. Pulling her up he gives her a quick hug before leading the way out of the garden. The pause near the arch to wash their faces in one of the small ponds, their morning spent in comfortable silence as always. Their minds wake faster than their bodies and soon both are lost deep in thought in their way to their only major concern at the moment. “I wonder if there'll be breakfast, like there was lunch, you know?” Starla looks up at her brother with a smile, however she frowns a moment later when she realizes he is no longer at her side. Turning, she spots him hurrying forward, looking completely awake. She does not ask what's wrong, instead just giving him a look he recognizes as essentially 'Tell me now or I will get the blunt object'.

He shakes his head, glancing over his shoulder with a faint touch of worry in his eyes. “It's nothing. . .Or at least I pray it's nothing. . .” He looks to Starla with a smile. “I'll ask Rasha to check it out later. I don't think it's anything, but it never hurts to check, and I think he'd be the best for the job.” She glares at him for a full thirty seconds before shrugging and huffing.

“As if he's good for anything but lusty glances at the guardians. . .” She grumbles, earning a pat on the head which she shoves off playfully.

When Harper comes in the Nightmare Guardian glances at him, sparing the shy Crios a half smirk as well before downing the last of his breakfast with a few quick snaps. Despite his fast eating he remains surprisingly clean and as he guzzles down his hot cider, he having one of the oddest tastes in the room, he wipes off the last bit of meat juice with a thumb before sticking it in his mouth to suck on. Cho giggles at the display, in his mind seeing the guardian as a child showing off at the dinner table. He takes the breakfast gear and places it aside to begin the stack as people get finished, shuffling over to stand by the foxy doctor who is likewise downing his food quickly. 'I bet he just can't wait to get to work, the workaholic. . . I really need to drag him away one of these days. Go somewhere private. . .' Cho chuckles again, playing with his lover’s tail gently. Crios stiffens for a moment, but then continues eating as if he notices nothing.

A slow wicked grin spreads across Seishu's lips at Harper's question, however he remains silent, tilting his head innocently to the side at the rabbit man gives him a withering look. It is not long however before the siblings come in and Harper gives them a nod. At almost the exactly same time Crios finishes, handing off his plate, cup, and utensils to Cho before he races off and hands out the last two plates. Meanwhile the doctor moves forward to inspect Seishu's wounds, not bringing up what he has in mind for therapy today given he know Rue is just dying to hear what the dream thing was like last night. 'And given the looks Night keeps having, It should prove entertaining' A part of him prays he does not go into detail, while at the same time, he prays there are details to give. Shaking his head at his own naughty thoughts, he glares at Rasha, blaming it all on the horny little house cat.

Soon all eyes are on the guardians and Seishu decides to get them started off, seeing as he did most of the construction. Seeing the storyteller glint in his eyes Rue shifts around to look at him, Inui taking the hint and following suit. Harper gives the Nightmare Guardian a warning look while the siblings look a bit confused, not quite skilled enough at reading Seishu to know what's about to happen. Rasha shifts around, looking at the doctor for a brief instant before locking his eyes on Seishu, not willing to take the blame for whatever he was being blamed for this time. The white haired male smiles at Rue, letting his gaze drift about the room before beginning.

“Well, last night, because we were so close,or so I believe the reason to be, we fell almost immediately into out world. I wanted to do something special, so as the grass came, the light breeze smelling of flowers and the ocean, the stars above coming to life even as the sun appeared on the horizon, I came up with an idea.” His free arm comes up and he snaps his wrist the way he did in their world. “I summoned cloth, like sheets, many many sheets, and made a maze of all different kinds of cloth. The colors were all warm, the sound of them soft and pleasing to the ear. I made the maze wide, with a big circular opening in the middle.” He smirks at Enasi, the mischief in his eyes clear. “I was feeling a bit playful, so I hid from Enasi, singing, so he could find me. . .However, I think I may be too good at hiding. Only the feathers and petals falling from the sky seemed able to find me. . .”

Rue chuckles. “I bet you're the best. . .” he murmurs softly.

Seishu ruffles his hair. “I may be. Anyways, after that, I went to the middle, into the big open area. There I brought forth several pillow atop the grass. Some were bigger than this bed!” The little ones giggle. “Then I raised more cloth, more sheets, making an open dome. Cutting out some of the wind while leaving the sky open to the stars above.” He looks to Enasi, his smile warming. “I began singing, calling to him, and he cheated a bit, making a tunnel right to the middle. . .” Starla and the little ones giggle while Harper tries to hide a smile. “When I saw him however, and he fell quite carelessly on to one of the big pillows, I began singing a new song. . .” His eyes drift half closed, his smile still warm, but now with a touch of a smirk in it. "The stars backed me up, as I sang a song. . .That has a lot to do with what's going on right now. . .Between us. . .” There is a purr in the back of his throat and Rue giggles softly, looking at Enasi as Seishu falls silent.
Kyaaa! *Squeals at the cuteness that is Joseph*
Oh, and confidence. Don't forget the never ending well of confidence :P
Well, honestly, Alexi, loves, adores, and admires Erik. Pure and honest. He shouldn't feel any of the madness on the first take, just the. . . .Enigma of adoration that is Alexi's feelings. However, as Alexi has said before, his emotions are somewhat muted, so no matter how strong the feelings sound, just imagine yourself in love, then half it, then you're on the right track. He likes Erik, no matter what he's done, and he admires what he's trying to achieve, and the passion he puts behind the pursuance of that. And for a first dose, that'll be about it. A vaguely muted but still sharp sense of love, adoration, and admiration. :P
The prince's smile makes him once more curious, however he is far more interested in getting his answer than asking any more questions at this point. His eyes dart back and forth between the tome in his arms and the prince, his blinking noticeably sped up in his muted excitement. He pauses in his excitement however when the prince moves, his eyes locking on the moving target as he shows the old man a touch of open affection. 'He must like this one better than the other. Smiles can be deceiving, but then again, so can affection, however I think this be true' His eyes remain locked on as the prince approaches, his head tilting as he is given permission to peruse the books.

As much as this raises his normally dormant spirits he recognizes the tone of voice and sets the book open on the table, ready to follow the youth as he leaves the tower. However, the prince has other plans and he can feel his body keying up as his charge vanishes from his sight. He tumbles over and over the possibilities, weighing the pros and cons of disobeying the prince's order to stay and the likeliness of him actually encountering any problems on a quick trek to the kitchens, and finally, he decides to stay put. 'If he is not back in a reasonable amount if time, I will go look for him' He decides, and without a second guess of himself, he slides into an empty chair next to the tome he'd picked up earlier and flips to the front page.

He does not have long to enjoy it however seeing as as soon as he feels the prince move out of the building, a new magic laces it's way about the room, tangling none too pleasantly with his own. With unhurried movements the fae stands, his hand going to his dagger. His eyes lock on to the man's back as he moves and he can feel his cool, killer instincts kicking in at the feeling of the old man's magic rubbing against his own. Fortunately for Rei, the magic is nonthreatening at the moment, unfortunately as well however, Rei is not so talented in his magic to recognize that. 'Is he challenging me?' He moves slowly around, seeking out the man's eyes to better assess the situation. While most assassins would sty behind their target, Rei knows that would do no good against a magical opponent, and as he has proven many times with his kills, he has no need to stab them in the back to make it clean, and quick.

He pauses only for an instant as the man speaks, not relaxing at the apparently kind words and fond tone, but instead comes at last around to face the man, reading his face, not his words. Sensing no malice, no anger, only a touch of warning, Rei at last relaxes, giving the old man the benefit of the doubt. 'Besides, if it comes down to magic, he could easily be stronger than me and I will not only not have been able to tell, but would not stand a chance' His hand remains grasped on the handle of his dagger, but he moves up from his slightly crouched position, drawing back in his magic to get rid of the annoying grating feeling on his magical nerves. He blinks one of his slow blinks, all traces of his excitement and interest gone in the face of this old man's warning and possible real peril facing him.

He considers the question for a long moment, assessing his true intents in this case, and after a long moment where the old master waist patiently Rei falls back into his old habit of few words and looks to the man, answering with a simple, “No.” The old man takes his time as well replying to the declaration, his milky white eyes looking at Rei as his own magic touches here and there. To true magic users like the fae, and human mystics like this one, magic is almost an added sense, helping them to probe the world around them, and Rei does not begrudge the light poking.

His smile from before returns and he motions the youth sit down before him and without hesitation the fae walks over slowly and takes the prince's seat, hand still on his blade. “I believe you.” The simple words carry truth, however Rei can not help, at this declaration, his curiosity once more peeking up for a question.

Waving to the tome the prince had been reading he murmurs, “Then, do you not believe the history you teach, or are you simply accepting that I am different from they?”

The old mage chuckles lightly, his body relaxing slightly, the folds of his robes once more threatening to eat the old man. “Oh, you are quite different from they, though closer to they than your kin, if my eyes be not deceiving me.” Rei does not even try to question the veracity of that assessment, knowing full well that indeed, the life of a killer applies to his life more than the gentle folk he came from. However a moment later the elder man manages to surprise him a bit by rescinding his statement. “No, forgive me, the pretend fae in this book are evil, and I sense you do not have even a touch of that in you. . . .You are something else entirely.” He raises an eyebrow as Rei shakes his head slightly. “You disagree child?”

Rei nods slightly. “While I agree, I am not evil, in the eyes of my people I am near to it, and even in the eyes of my current ward, I may be. Life is built not only on truths, but people's perceptions of the truth, so even if I may not be, I am still perceived as such, so in the eyes of most, I truly am nearer to they than those who call themselves my kin.” The Meister looks at him for many long silent minutes, and Rei stays silent as well, simply looking back at the man.

When at last he speaks, Rei listens with his usual look of disinterest. “People may perceive the world one way child, but that does not change it, no matter how hard the people believe it to.” He smiles warmly after that. “I must say however it is nice to hear someone speaking the tongue of philosophy so eloquently once more after such a long time. You have a good head for figuring on your shoulders.” He then waves a hand dismissively. “As to the prince, if he truly thought you evil, he would not have you around. As I said, he is a good boy. . .”

Rei notices the old man once more falling back to sleep and in the interest of honestly he decides to ask his question from before about the wig. The elder opens his eyes once more, a but confused at first, however he at last figures out what the youth is talking about. “Oh, that look from earlier. . .It's his wig. I have a great distaste for his need to wear it. I find this whole thing quite foolish, and I am sure it does not bring out the best in him to have to hide a part of who he is.”

Rei nods softly, “I agree.” The Meister's eyes snap back open at this, giving Rei a look he does not recognize, but after a few silent moments the man chuckles, letting himself fall back to sleep without another word. Rei stands slowly, moving back around the table to where he left his book as he thinks over the old man's words. 'He may be right. The prince may not think me evil. However that look in his eyes on occasion. That almost startled expression. . .As if he is just remembering what I am and what I do for a living. If not thinking me evil, he at least finds my actions as such' He settles back into his chair behind the sleeping man. 'As to the rest. . .'

Rei does not quite know what to make of the old mage's breakdown of his way of thinking, so for now he lets his go. His hand slides from his dagger hilt, sliding up on to the book as he begins reading. He has to sit on his knees to be able to read the top lines of the tome properly, using his arms to lean over the giant book. And as with many things in his live, the exchange with the old man soon leaves the forefront of his mind and he is once more excited about the opportunity to read books he's never read before. He does however keep his magic pulled in tight, not wanting it to brush against the old man's should it snake out again. The feeling was rather unpleasant. As such, he does not feel the prince returning, only catching his attention when he hears the young man's feet on the stairs. His head comes up only as the door opens before darting immediately back to the line he was in the middle of before the door opened.
The fae touches every part of the tower long before the reach the top, and retracts his hands to look over the information. 'He is right, there are a lot of books up there' He can feel a faint tickle of excitement at the thought, his only real passion in life being reading, and he wonders what it would take for them to let him read a few. 'Many of those tomes feel much older than the ones I own, or have read. If they do not let me read these, I will definitely need to go to the palace library tonight to sate my need right now' None of these thoughts are expressed on Rei's face, being impassive as ever, however when they reach the top of the stairs his focus shifts from his own wants and needs on to the old man before them.

Rei refrains from coughing, it actually taking quite an effort considering how good his sense of smell is, however he manages without showing any visible change. 'Opium, he may not be all there. Over use is a common downfall in the minds of many. The smile is good, for the prince. He does not see many, I am sure' The obvious look of distaste directed at Alessandro makes him curious however, wondering why he would smile one minute, then change an instant later. 'Perhaps it is something about the prince. . .I will ask later. Asking such things now may count against the young royal' His gaze shifts to the books along the walls and for the first time since meeting the prince he seems to almost light up. It is a dim light, but it does make him look more his age, even if it is only a little bit.

As the youth speaks again he waits until the old man is looking before giving a polite slight bow, keeping his eyes on the elder. However he freezes mid bow at the look in the man's eyes. Without hesitation his magic snakes out to investigate the old man as he finishes standing up and he feels the faintest traces of human magic trickling through him. 'He was at least a half way decent magic user at one point in his life. He may be able to sense me. This could be a problem. . .If he were to tell on me, then my job would be over. I am sure the prince would deny knowledge of the fact, as humans often do to save themselves, however I do not relish the thought of having to flee from this place. . .'

His thoughts fall silent as the old man seems to dismiss the fae with only that faintly mischievous look, and Rei decides not to do anything for now. 'If he becomes suspicious, I will act, until then, I shall leave him be' And just like that, he is once more completely at ease, his attention on the books and other parchment lining the walls. It is all he can do not to begin perusing the shelves right then and there, so he contents himself with listening to the prince read aloud. He rests against a bare patch of wall by the door, the only real place danger could come from unless a killer was already hanging from the ceiling, which there is not, Rei checked, and he listens, wondering at the inaccuracies. 'I know that both sides of a war have their own way of looking at things, but at least the histories I have head in the village do not depict humans as the scourge of the world. Just foolish, misguided, and oft times cruel'

As the old man drifts to sleep Rei casts him a glance before the sudden silence brings his attention back to the young man. He looks at the prince silently for several seconds before, without a moments hesitation, he slides off the wall and walks quickly over to the books that he'd spotted at a distance that had caught his eyes. He glances back at the prince a few times, the obvious question in his eyes even as he grabs a few tomes, flips them open, reads a few lines, and puts them back exactly as he found them save for maybe a bit of dust. 'I have not read most of these. . .I really would love to read a few. . .I wonder if his lesson is over. Maybe I can borrow a few. . .' He looks once more to Alessandro, a book help open in his arms, the large tome looking far too big to be held so easily by such small arms. His eyes are a little brighter, a bit of the youth he is shining through at being surrounded by the one thing in life that brings him away from the drudge and drab reality that is his existence. He does not lament his life, but reading is way better than it, to be sure.
