I kept imagining a gorilla trying to open a walnut when I was watching Tahaan trying to break open the bit of matter :P Quite amusing :P

Poor Aysus. Tahaan will content himself with play for a while :P
The myriad of emotions flowing across the young man's face are fascinating to the fae. He can tell, for the most part, that they are negative emotions. Those are easy to recognize, as often as he sees them, however somehow they feel different than usual. 'It is as if their direction is. . .Altered somehow' His own thoughts do not make sense to Rei, so he sets them aside and continues watching his ward. When the prince lets his gaze drop, the obvious state of being at a loss for words making Rei tilt his head curiously. While he does not talk with people often, indeed he has spoken more in the past few days than many years combined before that, however the sudden lack of response from the young man comes across as unusual to the fae.

'Since we have met he has been open with his opinion, free with his words, and always had something to say. The only silence I have observed is when he is around. . . .Well, anyone but me. Have I somehow fallen out of his good graces?' While mulling this over the prince once more gestures for him to continue. He hesitates for a moment, unsure if that is what the prince really wants, but after only a few second's pause he goes on, taking the gesture at face value. 'From what I can tell, he has never lied to me before, so I have no reason to mistrust him now' “From the age twelve to fifteen I took my own commissions, already my reputation well known to those who have need of such services often. During this time, I began taking the only uncomissioned lives I have ever taken as well. I did not plot or plan out the killings, however I did make sure that I only killed those who were members of the party that slew my parents.”

He pauses in his narrative for a moment, a faint feeling of a need to explain something coming over him. “I know that when we first met, I tried to explain how I am not a murderer. I can see how this would seem to contradict my words, however I feel the need to tell you this. I would find no fault in any loved one of one of my marks if they should seek to take my life. I would not consider that murder. In my own mind, it is a fair trade. As such, I do not feel that my actions against the party that killed my parents could be defined as murder.” He shrugs lightly. “Though, you have your views of the world, and I mine. I simply. . . .Felt the need to clarify this.” He does not give the young prince time to respond before going on with his story.

“Each death came naturally. A dropped guard, a careless act. I was not suspected until the last one. It took me a year to actually track down the last member. Though he had in essence raised me, he still held part of the responsibility for the death of my first life, and in the end I took the life of my second father.” He pauses for a moment to take a drink, his gaze once more falling, but this time a look of confusion crosses his face. He addresses the swirling liquid in his glass as he speaks softly. “When I took his life, I did for him what I did for all of my normal marks. I gave him time to speak his last words, and I must say I found them strange.” He gaze comes back up to the prince and tilts his head to the side. “It was a simple message, and while I understand it, I do not. . . Understand it. Sounds foolish I know, but it is what it is.”

He looks off towards the window, his voice still soft. “He said: Good job. I am proud of you, son.” His gaze returns to Alessandro. “That is the first time he called me anything except “boy”. The others called me the same. I was just boy, nothing special, nothing interesting. Just a gender.” His voice returns to normal. “I did him a slight honor, for saving my life back when I was a babe. I would hear every so often of his home, a place by the sea. I'd never seen it before, but I understood what it was and where to find the nearest one. I took his body over two hundred miles and dumped it over the first cliff I found. He always said he loved the sea, so it was the only thing I could think of that would do that love justice.”

Setting his drink aside Rei stands and stretches, his senses telling him that someone is approaching. He finishes the story carefully while his eyes go to the door. “I could feel the call of my home after that, the last remnants of my second life no longer hooked into my soul like a fisherman's hook. I followed it, and eventually found where I was born. The people there did not turn me away, despite their fear and disgust of me, and I was afforded a small house at the center of town. What I grew up doing became as a part of me as my magic, so even now that I have a peaceful house to return to, I have no real home, and continue my work as I always have.” He settles back into his seat just as there is a knock at the door, and with ease he returns his hat to his head, that extra protection for hide his ears settling snugly into place.
*Giggles like a madman* So, how did you like the first splitting of the atom? :P Well, that's kinda the idea I had, but it was funny for me none the less :P
~The shock of the nothing makes him shudder, but after less than a minute it begins fading away. The change is subtle, but swift. He finds himself laying on his back in the midst of tall grass, tinted silver in the light of the sunset, and murmuring soft sounds of encouragement. Seishu is unsure of how rustling can sound encouraging, however he has no doubt of the truth of that thought. He lets out a sift sigh, the fact that his heart still aces letting him know just how much he was hurting before entering Their World.

If it hurts like this even here, it must be really bad.

Man this sucks.

Before all this I would have been content with him never being close to me.

Now, I can't stand the thought of him refusing to see me, even when he has more important things to deal with.

Grumbling softly he sits up a bit, peeking over the grass to watch at Enasi bounds up into a tree. Positive that Enasi did not see him, Seishu does not take offense to this and instead flops over on to his stomach and begins shuffling through the grass on ll fours. Staying mostly hidden for reasons unknown, the Nightmare Guardian tries desperately to figure out what he's going to say. All the strong feelings that he had fueling his initial argument ideas when he sought out his counterpart before have all faded, leaving him in pain, and at a loss.

When at last he reaches the base of the tree, looking up into the eyes of his other half, he comes to a very simple conclusion.

I'm always telling him what he's doing wrong.

Always pointing out ways he's failing.

He knows all that now, and his decisions are his.

I can't just keep telling him, it won't do any good.

So. . . .

I'll just let him figure out what is to be said today.

He's not stupid.

He knows he hurt me.

And if that's not important to him, then I can't force him to face it, and it just won't come up.

But knowing him, he'll apologize even without prompting. . .

For some reason the prospect of this apology doesn't sooth Seishu's wounded heart. In fact, somehow he knows that an apology is not what is needed. With a sift sigh he launches up into the tree. Landing on a branch a few yards away from Enasi, Seishu settles in to wait, looking up at his counterpart every so often with a patient expression on his face.~
With a slight spring in his step Kuro follows behind the angel, letting him take point on retrieving the tools they will need. Looking over the old rusted things he shakes his head lightly, deciding to fix them up a little bit before actually using them. “Yes, just one for now. I'll pull out the second one once you're set. . .” He takes the heavy object, admiring the fact that Aoba was even able to move it within reach. He smiles as he pulls out a handful of picks, hoes, shovels and the like, setting each one aside as he is handed them. He waves a hand, signaling they have enough, then hands an armload of them to Aoba before picking up the rest, including the heavy plow. At Dani's remark Kuro simply rolls his eyes, however Aoba, good spirit that he is, actually gives the demon a proper response.

Dani shakes his head, still not getting it. Hopping down from the side of the pen he follows the two of them out of the barn as they make their way over to the field. “I mean, I know you said he has to show an effort, but c'mon! These are heaven's bitches we're talking about! They’re not gonna get pissed if you just provide him food after all. Sure, have him do farm work, take care of the beasts, but I don't see the points in going all the way into making him as lowly as a human!”

Kuro simply shakes his head again. “Dani, Aoba wants to do this. Who am I to stop him? I don't own him after all.”

Dani pauses, then runs up behind his brother, darting in front of him and confronting him head on, making the taller demon have to stop or run into the smaller one. Kuro opts for stopping. Dani looks very confused and without any regard for the implications behind his question he asks, “You don't?”

The little brother is eternally grateful that Aoba is out of earshot when he asks this, not wanting to address this just yet with the young angel. In a soft voice he replies, “A bird in the wild is far more entertaining than one in a cage, don't you agree?” Moving past his big brother Kuro glances over his shoulder to see Dani seriously contemplating the question, turning to follow once more but at a much slower pace. Once they are in the field Kuro has Aoba set the tools down and with a little expended effort he sharpens those that need sharpening, and tightens those parts that have become loose. They are by no means brand new, but now they do not have to worry about them breaking or falling apart.

“There we are. . . .” Kuro murmurs, a look of satisfaction on his face. Looking to Dani, who is still deep in thought, perched atop the fence running around the field, he snaps his fingers a few times to get his attention. When at last Dani looks to him the little brother gives him a smile. “Hey, Dani, lend me one of your pets.”

Dani quickly comes out of his funk. “Why?! No! What do you want it for! You have your own! I-”

Kuro cuts him off. “I thought you might want to show Aoba your brood, but I guess if you don't think they're up to snuff, I cou-”

“No no! They're perfect! How dare you question that!” Not realizing he's being played Dani scowls and with a whistle he opens a gate to hell. The swirling mass of red, black, and purple lasts only a few seconds, just long enough for a beast the size of a minivan to charge through. Dani jumps forward as the gate closes, bringing the beast to a stop with just a raised hand, and after a few silent seconds he reaches up and pats it one the nose. The creature looks a lot like a very large horse, it's body structured much like one, however it's feet and head are those of a canine, and the tail one of a feline. Mounted on it's back are large bat wings that may prove to be a bit troublesome for what Kuro plans, however he's willing to try and work around them. The odd compilation of animals that seem to converge to make this pitch black beast fit seamlessly together, and rather than looking like a hodg podg, it comes across as rather elegant.

Once Dani steps away it rears and plunges a few times before Kuro stills it with the same gesture Dani had. Dani huffs at the fact that it's obeying his little brother, but looking past the taller demon he seems to puff up proudly as he meets Aoba's eye. Moving so he doesn't have to look over Kuro's shoulder to see the angel the smaller demon gestures to the beast with flare. “This is the best from my brood of Neo Nightmares. They are more flexible and more deadly than a regular nightmare, and they are fifty percent stronger! By replacing the flame feet flight from them and adding wings instead I improved their mid air maneuverability considerably, and the canine and feline parts add to their attack an balance, respectively.” Dani is practically glowing with pride at this point, the Neo Nightmare sniffing past Kuro at the angel, trying to get a better look. Dani nods sharply. “They're also at least twenty percent smarter, not as much as I'd hoped, but it is easier to train them than the originals. More brain power. They're not mindless killing machines anymore.” He chuckles softly, waiting for Aoba to give his opinion.

The beast nibbles at Kuro, still trying to get past to check out the angel. However Kuro too wants to hear Aoba's opinion before letting it wander over to begin inspecting his precious Little Mouse. After all, it is one of Dani's creations, and it may not be a mindless killer, but there is always the chance that if Dani gets upset from the opinion then the beast will attack what made him angry.
Watching Aysus drift away from the wellspring Tahaan can not suppress it's need to stay close to his counterpart and drifts along after it, trembling pleasantly as this causes more and more of the matter to bump against it's form. Through their bond it can feel how much this new thing is disturbing the other, the tension and unsettling presence around it coming across loud and clear. For an instant, it feels bad about it's suggestion. This new thing they made, it seems to be the worst change yet for Aysus, and it's all it's fault. It's countenance begins to droop as it follows along, but only for a brief movement, until Aysus settles and Tahaan can not refrain from doing something for it's uncomfortable partner.

Moving in quickly it swirls around the ribbon bring, knocking back all the matter before settling in to form a bubble around Aysus. This effectively keeps the matter away, keeps it from touching Aysus against it's will, and finally it seems to settle. Tahaan keeps moving, slipping in closer and closer until it can relax comfortably into their bond and rest, while still keeping the little bits from touching Aysus. A kind of sigh ripples through the cloud as it calms, the feeling of it's energy returning bit by bit relaxing it even further, and it's contentment with the universe around them giving it such a feeling of peace.

It's not too long however before Tahaan “wakes” from their peaceful drifting, the respite welcome, but not by it's nature something it likes doing for long. The lazy movements around Aysus speeds up, still determined to keep it's counterpart comfortable, however the occasional poking out of it's body like a tentacle swinging through space to play with the matter is added to it's swirling motion. When at last Aysus wakes, letting it know that it's counterpart if free to explore, Tahaan swirls in tight around Aysus once before darting off through the matter like a child running into the oncoming waves. And much like waves, the little bits seem to crash into it's body, rushing around it and settling only after they come down from the wake it's body caused.

It contents itself this way for a time, swirling quickly this way and that, making interesting patters in the matter, mini tornadoes and plumes. So overjoyed it moves off a little further than it intended from it's other half. In the past, it could go as far as it liked from Aysus without feeling more than a dozen paces away. However, with this new thing between them, this mass, this. . . .something. It pauses, shivering, the distance feeling unpleasant. Drifting a little closer to Aysus, still out of sight to give it it's space, it begins wondering.

~Does it feel the distance too? Does it care? Does it feel more comfortable now that I can move so far that the stuff between us allows it some semblance of being truly alone?~

It's thoughts disturb it greatly and on instinct it moves even closer, settling in to play more quietly with the new creation. Grabbing random pieces it began mashing them together, noting happily that when put together, it stayed together, and exactly how it was put together. Other than floating through space, the matter is the most stable thing they have created yet. It is delighted at this, hoping strongly that Aysus will be able to find it's comfort in this fact.

It spends time putting more pieces together, the ungainly mass growing into a rather disjointed ball rolling around in the space. After noting that the ball moves slower than the individual bits, through his natural evolution Tahaan does the next thing on his list of experiments. With a clap of it's body it blows apart the bits. It swirls delightedly at the new design in the matter, the bits crashing against one another, the direction of them floating shifting out of the way of the sudden expansion of motion.

~That was fun. It was like a mini version of me when I crash about!~

It does this a few more times before moving on to the next natural step, at least for Tahaan. Plucking up a single individual piece it begins bombarding it with energy, trying to change it. It does not change, however it does seem different for a moment before the energy dissipates. Wanting to know more it tries to crack open the bit, to look inside. The result is not only unexpected, but a little disastrous. The instant it manages to break open the bit there is an almighty explosion, the amount of energy stored within the little bit comparable to all the energy Tahaan and Aysus hold combined. It cries out, the blast blowing it quite aways with the rest of the matter around the explosion tumbling through the space with it.

Through happenstance, when at last it comes to rest, no longer being propelled by the explosion, it finds itself not a handful of paces from it's counterpart. Pulling itself together carefully, unhurt and undamaged by the sudden tumble, it looks over at Aysus and with a completely serious tone it says,

~Don't try and open a singular bit of matter. The result is unpleasant.~

At last it's fear catches up with it and without warning it wraps around Aysus and begins trembling.
Any time feels right to you. Kenneth is naturally rather rude to those who he feels are beneath him, like Amano, so it's quite understandable if he would do as you said and start asking now, in that case you would add it to your last post, or I could have him interrupt Amano in the next post, more on purpose of course. Either would work, so whichever you prefer.
You don't have to if you don't want to. I am sure there will be another point where he's caught staring, or where Amano specifically re-directs attention on to Illiendi :P Unless of course this feels like the right spot for you, then by all means, have at it :P
I think I would be more helpful if I knew what you mean by subject. Do you mean like Mountains? Lodestones? Firefighters? Starships? And explanation of what? You said world building, which is the subject of what I talking about, but if you are looking for one specific piece of what it takes to make a world, or things that should be found in a world, I would go with homes. Residences. Since a story is nothing without it's characters, establishing where they rest their head is a good subject to address :P

But still, I have no idea what you mean by subject, and I must be passing out now, so if my mad ramblings of a tired person are found useless, I apologies.
I'd like to hand over Kenneth's reins when it comes to the conversation between him and Illiendi if you don't mind. I'd like to see what you do with the pompous man.

I see this becoming very interesting. . .Illiendi's internal thoughts intrigue me, and I am wondering if you would like to take a peek at another RP am am doing with angels and demons in it sometime. It far sweeter and fluffier in places than ours, but the concept behind the demons is something I think you may enjoy :P
