~A little girl hums softly as she plays with her little dolly. They are both clad in white, the frills and ruffles tossing gently in the late afternoon breeze. Around her the earth is barren, the grass long dead from the dark soil. Around her stones making the final resting places of most upon the mortal sphere loom, but she takes no notice of them. Her head turns, he gaze lacking with his as he approaches, Her bright blue eyes light up and she calls out to him.

“Come Kinn! Come play with me!”

His eyes go to the sky and in the distance a faint rumble makes it's way to his sharp ears.

“I don't know if that's a good idea . . .”

His voice fades, her name not reaching his ears even as he speaks it. She giggles as the wind becomes cold. The bite of it brings tears to his eyes. She smiles, turning back to her dolly. He reaches out for her, trying to tell her it's not safe here, however all that he can hear is the howling of the wind. It begins to rip at his clothes, the fine material shredding upon his body and leaving him bare. With a cry the wind at last reaches it's peak and with a cry like the ungodly winds he is torn from the earth and flung high into the air. . .~

~~~~*~~~~
His feet come to rest on a cool wooden floor. His body, clad in nothing but the moonlight streaming through the large open window, stretches and rolls as he awakens from his long slumber. He draws in a shuddering breath as the night air rushes over his body, refreshing him. As his arms come down the last bit of shadows moving freely throughout the room comes to settle about his shoulders and with a faint rustling noise a long black cloak appears around him. The thin, fine material moves freely as he turns towards the sound of a man's voice. Green eyes lock upon one another and his eyebrow raises at the question. His tongue moves slowly inside his mouth as it learns to work again. After darting out to moisten his dry lips it slips across his fangs languidly. “You call for me, and you do not already know the answer to that question?”
His voice sounds a little rough but smooths out as he continues speaking. “It seems I am called by one who did so out of ignorance.” He takes a deep breath through his nose and his left hand comes up. In his hand is held the bloody cloth the king had used to try and muffle his coughing. Kinn's eyes drop to the stained fabric and a faint smile curls his lips. Bringing it close to his face he takes a long whiff of the scent of the blood. As he exhales his eyes flutter close and a low groan rumbles in his chest. His eyes open slowly and his gaze moves back to the man who had summoned him. His arm drops and the cloth falls from his fingers. Moving closer to the man he smiles. “I can guess as to why you have called me. However. . . .” The last word almost sounds like a purr. “I need you to say it. I need to know, why have you summoned me, mortal?”
No problem about your posting, I don't mind. I have a lot of RPs going on right now, and the lag in some of my partners makes it easier to keep up with them :P Just post when you have time/feel like it. Don't worry about overloading me either, if you can post every day, go for it :P
As for me, I'm having fun, and I can't wait to see where we go with this :P Oh, and feel free to walk us both out of the hotel if you wanna make your post longer. Amano will follow :P
It takes a few minutes for Amano to realize that the other had gone. When he at last looks up to find himself alone he lets out a sigh and is finally able to relax a bit. Something about the man's presence was both soothing and frightening at the same time. 'He's obviously not human, but that's not enough to set me on edge like this. From all accounts of what he said before, he must be some kind of demon, but. . .' His thoughts turn to ones of confusion. 'But how can that be? Demons are not real. Not in the way that this guy is at least. I mean, the church people who pass through town from time to time preach about demons drawing mens' souls down into a fiery and horrible place, but. . .' e sighs again and looks towards the open window. “But he doesn't seem like that's what he wants to do with me. He wants. . . To serve me. . . .Or he has to, or something, but then he. . .”
Swallowing hard Amano recalls the look in Illiendi's eyes when he looks upon him. “He may say I am his master, but he is in no way subservient. I've been around servants my entire life, and it's obvious. He's only doing this because he's getting something out of it.” His own words tumble over and over in his head, trying to figure out what to do. A faint twinge of the brand on his chest pulls him from his jumbled musing and he bites his lip as he looks towards the spot. Pulling the blanket aside, letting it settle around his waist for now, he looks more closely at the mark now. Even at the awkward angle of trying to see his own chest he can discern the shapes fairly well. Reaching up he touches the sun before running his finger across the symbol to the moon. “It really is beautiful. . .” he murmurs, his mind calming a bit at the sigh. Somehow, just touching it helps him to relax.
As the time passes slowly Amano thinks of one thing after another for Illiendi to do, but each time he discards it as too trivial. When at last his mind settles tentatively on one, Illiendi appears at the window almost as if on cue. Feeling much calmer now he smiles at the man as he climbs in quietly. The suit he's wearing seems to fit him perfectly, but even with the familiar looking coverings the other still seems to radiate an aura of otherworldly energy. Thanking him for the clothes and for informing his father that he's safe the young man moves towards the end of the bed and begins getting dressed. At first a jolt of shock runs through him as Illiendi begins telling him about the “strange things” he could read about in the paper, but as he pulls his pants on it begins to sink in what had happened. When he finishes talking Amano sighs to himself, his eyes on the floor as he sits on the edge of the bed. “So they were the ones who. . .” It's not a question, simply a statement to drive home to himself just what he had set in motion by making a simple wish.
Shaking his head he pulls on his undershirt before grabbing his suit jacket and standing up. Leaning against the foot of the bet he looks over to the man perched against the window. He follows the lines and curves of his features, his eyes moving slowly as he tries to figure out just how this man can be the way he is. 'He looks so human, but so not at the same time. It's. . .A nice look, but at the same time, terrifying. . .' Putting a smile on once again he looks up into Illiendi's eyes. “Thank you.” he says, a truly earnest look in his eyes, as he is honestly grateful to the man. “Thank you for fulfilling my wish. . .And for getting the clothes of course, heh.” With a cough he glances down at his feet for a moment before looking back to the being with whom he now seems to share a fate. “Yes, food would be good. I haven't eaten for some time. We can hit up one of my favorite places. I run a tab so we won't have to worry about paying, seeing as I don't have any money at the moment.” Looking to the door he adds, “And I know just the place. It has private booths so we can. . .Discuss things.” Turning back to Illiendi he smiles, “Shall we?”
One could always say perhaps that there has always been a resistance to the peace, which is what makes our kind necessary, and now they have found something, or have created something that will help them to bring back the war, and hopefully, wipe out the other side. The resistance would be on both sides, so only one side would get the (Fill in the blank) and this would rile the other side up, causing a rise in incidents, which is what could lead out guys into whatever mess is about to erupt.
Yes, I have the idea of making new species, but this would be done to supplement already existing species that we like and would want in the story. So, we'd pick the species we like from existing one, divide them into the two groups, then add our own creations to either side as we see fit and hopefully provide a balance of power. Ex. Daywalkers got dragons, and not much can argue with the kinds of dragons I like RPing with :P
As for concealment, I would see base level enchantments that each side can learn at a certain age, but p until that point they have to be hidden away, or the family lives in the countryside until the child can use the concealing magic. But that's only for the non-humanoids. I'd say the human shaped ones can also use the concealing magics, and do, but they also can just put on the right clothes if they are feeling daring. I was also thinking of establishing a few places kinda like the MoM from HP, which would be safe places for the non-humans to just be themselves. Like bars and hidden playgrounds for the kids :P
I always like feedback on the ideas I pose, in case my partner doesn't like them or have a different idea. The only thing I can see about you asking a lot of questions is that I may feel eventually that I'm taking too much control in the set-up, so please be sure to speak up if something I put forward isn't what you want, or if you have ideas of your own. I too like posing questions, and will do so like this:
Are there any particular cliches you'd like to avoid?
Any particular races you definitely want/don't want?
I remember you saying something about not doing modern. For me, using a semi modern earth setting as a base and building from there, or any base really, is a good way for me to start cobbling together my worlds. So, if not a modern base, what kind of base do you want? The world we come up with may end up completely different from the base, but a baseline helps my thought process. :P My own psychologist(I am a psychologist by the way) tells me that my thought patterns, when left to roam go, "From A to B to. . .L, and Z!" when I'm communicating to people my ideas. We start off talking about carrots and end up with me spouting off something about the Indy 500, which will make perfect sense to me, but no one else will get the connections. . . .And I ramble :P So yes, a building block, can be as simple as one of my favorite ideas "Everything is powered by a very interesting kind of plant that glows" That world looks, so awesome. . . . .
Seishu asked a mean question. . . .
Shifting this way and that Seishu tries to get comfortable against the large pillows, his shoulder burning, and his stomach wound making itself known. 'I think I need a little shot before the doctor goes' Turning his eyes to the doorway confusion creases his brow. 'What the heck are they gabbing about?' Tuning his senses towards the pair in the doorway he catches Crios's question about their similarities. 'Is that all you can think of, really?' Even from his place on the bed Seishu can feel him floundering for more examples for the foxy doctor. 'I guess you tend to have better things to think about. Well, more pleasant things, than you and I's actual meaning to one another, or our origins. I guess I'm just more naturally curious or observant' Making a small noise to catch their attention he turns his gaze to the ceiling and speaks in a voice just loud enough for both of them to hear so he won't wake Rue.
“We are both physically the same, as far as body parts go. Nothing extra like minions, our bodies are very much like humans'. Be both have an instinctual, innate, and deep abiding love for those of our realm, and would do anything to protect them, save for when the actual battle is taking place. A necessary evil that brings us mostly pain.” He lets out a sigh and crosses his arms over his stomach. “We are both so tuned into the Balance that if either of us was to actually strike the other, it would be shaken down to it's very foundations and we would feel it. From what I've read, it would all but tear us apart. Out predecessors tried it once, so much did they hate one another. . . .” Feeling sleep tugging at him a faint wave of dread flows through him and he turns his eyes upon his counter part. “Something I am curious about, Enasi, something I have wondered for a long time now.” His eyelids droop slightly. “Can you dream? Is sleep pleasant for you? Was I the only one cursed with that dreaded place of nothingness? Heh, I bet like the rest of this deal you got the nicer half, but what can one expect, even the higher powers hate me. . .” Before Enasi can reply Seishu passes out and enters the dark empty void once again.
Crios had watched quietly, listening to the observations and results of Seishu's studies that outlined at least a few more of their similarities. 'That all makes a lot of sense. If they are truly suppose to work opposite one another and maintain this “Balance” then this more basic stuff sounds like a good foundation. . .' His ears perk up as he hears the questioning note in the Nightmare Guardian's voice. The question makes Crios slightly queasy. 'Nothingness? Is that what really happens when he falls asleep? That sounds, awful. . .' His gaze turns to his own lord, the distressed look shifting into one of sympathy. 'I've seen Lord Enasi sleep. He almost always has a smile on his lips. Why would Seishu ask such a question? He had to know it would hurt him to know such things. . .' He bites his lip as an answer to his own question comes to mind and he hates how true is seems to ring at the moment. 'Misery loves company, I suppose. . .' The tip of his tail twitches ever so slightly as he watches Enasi closely for a reaction to this revelation.
After the little one gets comfortable Dorian shifts a little in the embrace until he feels settled enough to actually fall asleep. 'Is that, is he purring? I do believe he is. That is kind of cute. I do not recall ever purring, but then again I do not recall much from my younger years' with a murmuring sigh he relaxes and falls asleep with a fuss. The day passes, warming the room as the sun passes overhead. He had made sure that the inn he was to stay at had high buildings on every side so that no direct sunlight could find it's way inside, but none the less when James is disturbed by the growing light about halfway through the day Dorian wakes just long enough to pull the covers higher so he can rest more easily.
The movement of a body crawling over his own wakes the elder from his deep sleep and he glances at the window. 'Sundown. He must not be one for sleeping in' Looking towards the boy it takes him a moment to realize that he's in stalking mode. Clicking his tongue lightly he sits up and walks up behind James. Wrapping an arm around his waist he pulls the newborn back against him and ruffles his hair. “Now now, we shall get something to eat soon, but first we are in need of clothing as to not draw too much attention.” Almost on cue there is a knock on the door and a voice calls out from behind it.
“Mister Helvek. Sorry to be desturbin ya, but we have your clothes at the ready.” Not recognizing the voice he motions for James to stay put before going over to grab their robes. Handing James his he pulls his own on and ties it loosely. Opening the door he smiles down at the young woman with her arms filled with clothing.
“Why, thank you my dear. You work here as well? I was of the mind that the fine woman at the front desk was the only proprietor.” The girl blushes and looks down.
“I work here, only during the morning hours. Helping with the cleaning and errands and such. This is actually my last job today.” She looks up, smiling back at him before curtsying and walking off down the hall.
With a chuckle he closes the door and moves over to the bed. Separating his clothes out from the ones he'd requested for James he pulls on his unders and pants before dropping the robe on to the bed. Making his way over to the fire pot the goes about starting a fire to burn the bloody clothes with before the woman comes up to clean the room and finds them. Speaking loud enough for James to hear he says, “We will go out and hunt together tonight. I shall teach you how to do so without drawing attention.”
M'kay, thanks for letting me know. I will wait :P
'Physical Therapy' That couldn't be too bad right? Then his mind flashed over the things he'd probably have to help Seishu do. 'Walking, helping him stretch, there was also swimming as an activity. . . The Dream Guardian's mind wandered on about the different types of treatments. It only sounded like more and more reason for him to say no. Every suggestion sounded too up close and personal with the Nightmare Guardian. But for the sake of Crios, and to help Seishu heal, he decided to just go along with it.
Enasi had turned his head a tad too early, and saw the hole in Seishu's leg. His nose wrinkled in distaste, but he turned his gaze away once more until they had finished. Once they did, the guardian took to leaning against the wall and awaited his instructions from the doctor. Seishu's comment only made him roll his eyes, but him being smacked caused him to stifle a soft giggle. "That's not even the half of it Crios. And it's alright, there's no need to waste your breath on him. That's not going to get him to stop." Enasi knew Seishu well enough to know that an order from a dream was the last thing he'd follow- unless it pertained to his survival.
"What do you need me to do?" Enasi asked, implying that he agreed to help.
"The first task should be easy enough." Crios stepped back, and toward the door to push it open it more. "But then again, since you're so equal to Lord Enasi, I'm sure you're strong enough to get up and walk toward the door." Enasi didn't know if Crios was doing this for the sake of helping Seishu, or as some sort of pay back. The doctor caught the raised brow expression from his guardian and chuckled. "Don't fret. There's a method to my madness. I thought it would be courteous to leave Rue in peace. It's not often you see him asleep. Besides, he's had a rough day." Enasi smiled and nodded, then put his hand out to Seishu. Even still, Enasi knew Crios was probably messing with the male as well.
"Well? Come on. There's no time to waste. He does have a realm to get back to." It was obvious Crios was thoroughly enjoying the teasing towards the male. Enasi chuckled softly and let him. He was doing no harm, so it wasn't all that bad. "You heard the doctor." Enasi put his hand out for the Seishu, in case he needed the support. "Lord Enasi, try not to help him too much when he starts walking. He has to be able to support himself more than lean against you." Crios instructed in a more serious tone. The Dream Guardian nodded still waiting for Seishu.
Glancing over at the sleeping boy Seishu mentally agrees that it would be good for him to get some sleep. 'He did a good job today' The dreams light jabbing at him does little to the guardian's pride, but when Enasi seemed to get much amusement over the current state of affairs his old rivalry spark flares up. 'Ah yes, very amusing, seeing your underling try and bruise my ego. Well, you may not be as innocent as you seem, but there is no way I'm coming out of this on bottom. Figuratively is not literally. Being on the bottom can be fun after all. . . .' Suppressing a chuckle Seishu pushes the covers aside and shifts his legs over the opposite side of the bed from Rue. He lets the pain trickle through him softly as he pushes himself up on to his feet and starts shuffling slowly around the bed.
He stumbles slightly and gives them both a warning growl and glare before shuffling forward again. Once he's around to the side where Enasi is he smiles with the little victory. However, his joints are rather stiff so he moves quickly as he can to the other guardian's side. Slipping past the outstretched hand he instead reaches under the man's arm and grips his shoulder. With a smile he slides in to stand hip-to-hip with Enasi, being sure to keep most of his weight to himself. Looking over to Crios he murmurs, “Yes, while I could make it to the door on my own, it would be oh so rude of me not to take the help offered to me by this kind gentleman here. Let it not me said that we of the dark side do not have any courtesy.” With that he motions for Crios to lead the way.
Crios leaned against the entrance, watching Seishu slowly but surely get up. He chuckled when Seishu growled at him and Enasi. "There, there Seishu. No need to be feisty." Enasi only smiled, trying not to laugh too much and upset Seishu. The guardian started to reach for his counterpart, but instead he was forced to hold onto the back of his shoulders. "Um..." Enasi started and watched as Crios raised an eyebrow. "Sure." He said simply and turned out. "Just follow my tail. Heh, do you think you can do that?" Crios smirked and wave his tail behind him as he turned down the hall.
Enasi stayed silent as he helped Seishu follow the doctor. He didn't know what to say, and he was expecting Seishu to say something. The Dream Guardian walked ahead to lead the way.
'Is it just me or is something a little off about him today?' Seishu muses. As they get moving though he says aloud, “Is it me, or is that fox man coming on to me?” Shrugging best he can he adds, “I mean, he's cute and all, but I've heard of this thing called, what was it. . . “Doctor Patient syndrome” or something like that. I wouldn't want to accidentally fall in love here y'know. The commute would be such a pain just for a little nooky.” He chuckles softly as the last comment finally gets a reaction out of the Doc.
Looking over his shoulder Crios mutters, “Ha ha, very funny. Little chance of that though, seeing as I would most likely make you ill, and you would most likely make me dead before any “Nooky” could be had Night.”
Seishu's rolls his eyes but doesn’t respond. Instead he focuses on the body pressed against his side. 'Y'know, it's strange. Ever since we did that thing, I haven't really felt that need to smack him I normally have. I can still sense little flicks of his emotions, but now it's just. . . More peaceful' Unable to resist he flexes his fingers, shifting his grip on the other male's shoulder. 'I wonder where his sensitive spots are. Should be fun looking while he's forced to be “At hand” heheh'
Enasi blinked and then cleared his throat when Seishu asked the question. Crios? Hitting on Seishu? There was a light tint of embarrassment to his cheeks, but it faded quickly when Crios defended his actions. Thankfully, Crios didn't egg the comment on. Instead he ended it.
"Just try not to fall in love with my doctor. I do need him you know." Enasi commented.
When Crios got the last word, a small smirk fell on his lips as he continued ahead of the two. If he hadn't ended the conversation, Enasi was sure Seishu would find more than a few ways to make the guardian feel awkward. "I don't know how you do it Lord Enasi- dealing with him all the time, but that is why you're the Dream Guardian." Enasi continued walking at the painfully slow pace, watching as Crios glanced back every now and then. Enasi gave a small shrug toward the doctor's comment and continued.
"Would you mind picking up the pace sir? I think Night has gotten comfortable at that pace."
"Oh. Oh, sure." Enasi complied and moved a little faster. For some reason, being so close to Seishu didn't bother him like it always did. Normally, he'd be trying to keep his distance but now it seemed the other was rather calm. Enasi slowed when he felt Seishu's grip shift. He assumed the guardian needed to readjust and get comfortable again. "Are you okay?" He asked, oddly polite and completely unaware of Seishu's true intentions.
-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros
Seishu lets out a little whine as the new pace pulls at his leg wound. The pain makes it's way through the painkillers and he can feel his energy slip slightly. Taking a deep breath he settles the flare and growls out little tune to help him relax. It's a light sounding tune, used as a lullaby for young minions by those who run the nursery. Seishu would spend hours just watching the little ones from time to time and the tune had always helped him to unwind. His foot catches slightly on a bit of carpet and Seishu takes the opportunity to do a little exploring. His hand slips from Enasi's shoulder as he stumbles slightly. His palm runs gently but firmly down the other man's back in one smooth motion and ends up on Enasi's hip where he takes a firm grip.
Shifting to regain his balance he presses a little closer to Enasi for a second before shifting back. “Damn shoddy carpentry work on that. . .Carpet back there.” He murmurs, keeping his eyes forward as he walks his fingers up Enasi's back until he can get a grip on his shoulder again. From the moment he began to stumble Seishu kept an ear out for any changes or shifts in Enasi that might serve as hint that he may have found something.
Enasi returned to the slower pace as Seishu growled. But as he did, Crios called out to them. "No, no. Don't slow down. He has to overcome the pain." It wasn't in Enasi's nature to so cruel and force pain upon anyone. He hesitated, but once again quickened his pace. Crios nodded and continued down the hall.
"That was a...nice song." Enasi commented softly. The guardian held his calm as Seishu tried and regained his balance. There was no need to catch him him because he grabbed onto his hip. As Seishu's hand searched for a former grasp, Enasi stiffened when his hand passed over his lower back. It only lasted for a brief second because Seishu's hand went back to his shoulder. In that brief second there was a small surge of energy, mainly out of surprise. The guardian kept his eyes forward and let out a soft sigh. "Um, where exactly are we going Crios?"
The fox looked back at them. "No where in particular. Maybe around this hall and then back."
-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros
A slow smile finds it's way to the Nightmare Guardian's lips. 'Found a spot. Logging it away' The faint surge of energy from the other male causes a faint purr of triumph deep in his chest and a vague question comes to his mind. But first, he decides to divulge a little. “Yes, it is a nice song. I know the words and can sing it some time. I have a fairly nice voice if I do say so myself. You may even like the lyrics, seeing as we sing it to babies and children in the nursery.” Humming softly he feels the stiffness in his knees threatening to make them buckle, but with a bit of effort he remains mobile as they take the next corner.
With a sideways glance Seishu purrs again and murmurs, “I wonder what it would take you hear you purr.” He lets the question hang in the air for a moment, watching the other guardian's face. Before Enasi can respond though, he goes on. “I know you can, since I can. You can also growl for that matter, but I suppose such primal parts of yourself aren't something you're interested in?” He hums again, biting his lip before continuing. “I have some old volumes about our race I've been reading. Maybe after this is all done, I can lend them to you. Gets me off the hook for returning them, heh.” Almost as if on cue his knees give out. His free hand whips around to get a grip next to the other one and a harsh growl tears out of him as the motion sends a searing pain through his shoulder.
Turning his face away from the Doc, Seishu gives Enasi a “Tease me and die” look before dropping his head onto his shoulder and letting out a tear at the sudden shocking pain. Crios starts to move towards the two guardians, but a black whip shaped dark stream of energy lashes out and smacks into the ground at his feet. Seishu's voice grinds out, fierce and low, “You will give me a moment Doc unless you want to find out what your lower intestine tastes like.” As soon as the threat is out his anger fades and all he feels is the burning pain in his shoulder.
-*-*-*-*-*-
AkiBlue
"Maybe you should. It would be nice to hear something not so sexual or devious from you." Enasi said with a small grin as they continued forward. His small tease was quickly replaced with embarrassment once again. 'He must really enjoy doing that...' After a moment, he responded. "I never said I couldn't. Growl or purr, I've never needed- or wanted to." The guardian quickly added, murmuring. "I don't see why you care." Enasi was well aware of what he was capable of. The only reason he never purred or growled was because he was never angry enough to growl out... And he was never in a situation...that caused him to...well, purr.
Instead of dwelling on what would probably make him growl or purr, his thoughts were interrupted by Seishu's falling. Instinctively, Enasi grabbed his hips, quickly moving his hands to his sides and caught him. "Whoa." In the process of catching him, Enasi had to make sure he didn't fall forward as well. The guardian caught the silent 'message' and obliged, staying completely silent. Surprisingly, even as Seishu lashed out, Enasi stayed calm. For some reason, he trusted him enough to know that Crios wouldn't get hurt. The Dream Guardian stands at the ready and slowly moves his hands off Seishu's sides.
Crios stayed in his place. The doctor was smart enough to know when he needed to hold his tongue. Even though he wasn't phased by the threat, he still turned away and continued to guide the two.
-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros
The burning sensation flares and wanes. The tugging pain in his leg throbs slowly. “Man, my own sword. I made that sword. I loved that sword, and he just took it. Yep, right out of my hand. Quality blade that, sliced through like butter. Fine sword, prolly being used to carve it's swath through the loyal ones. Yup! Well, if that black hearted bastard isn't too lazy to go out and do a little of the slaughtering himself.” Wiping his cheek on Enasi's shoulder he glances up at his counterpart. For an instant the look in his eyes is haunted, but in a flash he simply looks strained. “Bat habit that, talking to myself. Kinda a side effect of how much time we of the darker side spend with the mentally unstable, and let's not forget, criminally insane.” Shaking his head he lets out a sigh, the pressure on his hips lifting as Enasi lets him go.
'His hands were warm' Letting out a whining groan he shifts back into position so that the slow funeral march can continue. Without warning he says with a smile, “I've decided. Before I leave back to my realm for good at the end of all this, I am going to make you give in to your primal side and you will purr and growl for me.” His voice is very matter of fact. “No matter what it takes, I will find a way.” Glancing over at Enasi he adds, “By the way, that shade you turned earlier was just lovely.” His voice catches at the end and his eyes drop down for a second as he bite back a growl.
-*-*-*-*-*-
AkiBlue
Enasi raised an eyebrow as he began rambling. What he was talking about went past the guardian, but nonetheless, he let him speak. "I don't mind it. I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but I don't mind. If it helps, then go ahead." He gave a small shrug. His hands hovered by his sides, waiting for Seishu to relax. He couldn't help but smile softly toward his whining. 'That's...kind of cute.' One hand returned to his shoulder as Seishu started the slow walk again. "You sure you don't want to take a break? You've gotten pretty far." Though, as he said that, he realized they were nearing his room so Seishu might as well continue.
"What makes you think I will just allow you to." Enasi spoke defensively. '...you will purr and growl for me.' That echoed in his head longer than it needed to. Seishu always had a way with words... Not being in the best way either. "My question still stands... Why do you care about my primal side?" Being the worrier he was, he paused to make sure Seishu was okay. Seeing that it wasn't anything too serious besides the same injuries, he carried on.
-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros
A wicked smile curls Seishu's lips at Enasi's defensiveness. 'That's a good response. The fire will help. And . . .' “Oh, I don't expect you to 'allow' me to do anything in this regard. However, my dear other half,” His voice drops to a low murmur. “The fight is half the fun, remember? If you made it easy on me, there would be no point. I'll just have to come up with creative ways to reach my goals.” Looking to the hand clutching Enasi's shoulder Seishu lets his eyes trail over the black curve. 'And the little white dot, nestled inside, surrounded on every side by it's opposite save for where the eye gazes upon it from above'
His deep musing are interrupted by Crios opening the door to his room and motioning the two towards it. For some reason the doctor feels he doesn't want to interrupt Seishu, finding the insight into the man's workings fascinating. Once they reach the doorway his hand snakes out to grab the frame, bringing them to a stop. Looking around his room he sighs lightly. “As for why it interests me? There are many reason, not the very least of which is your complete lack of interest in why you seem more human than I am despite the fact that we are meant to be complements to one another.” His gaze travels around to look into Enasi's eyes. “Is it you think yourself more civilized than I? Or did they do that to you, make you so your more base urges are hidden away beneath a fog where you never think to look? I do not know the answer to that, and I'm sure you have an answer, but if it is truly the way it is and not just what you think it is is a mystery I intend to solve.”
Slipping away from the Dream Guardian's grasp he leans back against the door fram, his hand still on the other's shoulder. “There are many other reasons, not the least of which are have nothing better to do, I am truly curious about stuff like this, and I simply love the feeling echo I get off of you when I do stuff like this.” His hand slides down, finding that spot again but this time using his fingers to pull more of a response from Enasi before turning to the room and making his way carefully towards the bed. When he reaches the edge of the bed Rue turns to face him in his sleep and with a smile he bends over, reaching out to brush his fingers through his soft locks.
The only response to Seishu was a turning of his head. "Keep dreaming..." He mumbled as they walked through the door. Enasi stopped suddenly, looking over at Seishu. "Wouldn't it be best to have this discussion sitting down?" Seishu continued, declaring that his question was answered with a 'no.' As the Nightmare Guardian explained himself, even Enasi began to wonder the answer. Why had he been so 'human-like'? "I can assure you civility has nothing to do with it..." His voice was low as he defended himself. Enasi wasn't shallow enough to do such a thing. Humans weren't even civilized for that matter. They were always causing wars and always complaining. Enasi didn't respond to the second question. Even he had to admit that it could've been true... Seishu casually displayed all of his emotions and even his primal instincts, but Enasi was more closed in with his own emotions. Whatever created the two might have created them like that...
Seishu left his hold and Enasi slowly let go, watching to make sure he wouldn't fall over again. Confusion quickly turned into that of surprise when Seishu reaches for that spot that had surprised him before. Except this time, it was on purpose which meant he noticed before. A small yet audible noise escaped his lips and he stepped back. As the Nightmare Guardian turned away, he gave scowl, but his voice seemed to leave him.
Crios watched the entire thing with a raised eyebrow, knowing all too well what had just happened. The doctor kept his mouth closed and continued watching as Seishu made his way towards the bed. "Look at that. You made it all the way around. Good for you." The doctor leaned back against a wall and then chuckled. "This was just the beginning though."
Reveling lightly in the fact that he at least pulled some sort of noise from his counterpart Seishu feels too good to have a smart ass remark for Doc. 'That was fun, but I think I need to sleep now. . .' A faint tremble runs through him at the thought of what awaits him, however he slowly makes his way around the bed again and crawls up on to it behind Rue. The boy rolls again, his eyes peeking open for a second and with a smile and a sigh he falls back asleep. Seishu smiles back, reaching up to rub the little one's shoulder fondly before raising the hand to cover a yawn. His shoulder burns from use and with a contented growl the guardian rolls on his his back.
Crios watches the little exchange, behind him his tail curling slowly back and forth. Turning to Enasi he fixes his lord with a hard look. “I notice he's not exactly shy about his affection Lord Enasi, however I am glad you seem to be able to brush them off so easily.” There is an under tone to his voice that sounds a little mischievous but he quickly covers it up with business, and a curiosity of his own. “He needs sleep for now. I'll do a final check in a moment however first.” He glances over to the Nightmare Guardian for a moment before looking back at Enasi. “I have a question. I couldn't help but overhear most of what you two were talking about,” He waggles his ears a bit in explanation. “and if I heard right, you two are from the same race?” His voice is not judgmental, simply curious.
Kiel chuckles at the boy's comment about mass. "Yes, well, you're a boy. Shouldn't you be all macho and tough and not admiring something so 'girly' as a beautiful garden?" He shakes his head. "I'm sorry for teasing, but just like the races are different, and we all like different things, not all priests are the same. In fact, a few of us could even be considered kinda cool." With a sigh he reaches out to help him with the last bit of getting his shirt off. His fingers brush lightly across the boy's arms as he does so, but he doesn't seem to notice. Once it's off he places it on the bench beside Zach and kneels down on the grass in front of him.
Snapping open the kit he begins checking each bandage, figuring out which ones need changing and which ones will be fine until he gets back. As he begins working,cutting away the dirty bandages and cleaning them with the antibacterial cleanser he hums out a soft tune for a bit. 'These wounds seem to be doing very well. They must still be very stiff, but I think if we keep up with them they should be healed in no time' Glancing up at Zach his humming stops and he says, "I'm almost done here. I can bring home dinner tonight. Is there anything in particular you like? My treat!"
