His fingers weren't covering a wound, they were covering the spot on her neck where her major artery is. He covered it so that the boy would not bite there accidentally :P
Kinn didn't fall asleep with the covers over him. He's laying on the sheets, the covers on the king alone.
Trailing behind the young eager vampire Dorian keeps a sharp look out for any unwanted attention. Thankfully most people are inside somewhere at this hour and the young man pulling along an older gentleman doesn't seem to call for further examination by the few still scurrying about. The moon overhead peeks out for a brief instant, like a flash of a lighthouse lantern, before once again the dim light from the village lamps are all that keep the darkness from swallowing the town whole. As they draw closer to the forest Dorian catches wind of what the little one is after. 'A woman, young, and already bleeding. Must be careful with this one' When they reach the door to the barn, sitting slightly ajar so they can see clearly inside, the elder takes in the scene carefully. The boy at his side seems to almost vibrate with need.

'We are close to the house, so we can not have her screaming. I believe if I can get him to hold a post while I get her ready he should be able to restrain himself for the minute or two it will take' He glances down at James, holding back a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth at the sight of his eager face. 'I should let him feed first. Hopefully he will recognize when he is full rather than just trying to drink her dry' Tightening his grip on the boy's hand he moves silently through the door and pauses a few paces short of the girl. Her sobs reverberate off the wooden walls, muted slightly by her fingers as she tries to quell her tears. Looking to one of the support beams Dorian takes the hand in his and uses it to wrap the young man's arm around the beam. “Stay put.” He whispers, making sure he has the newborn's eyes and attention before stepping towards the girl.

Her head comes up as he clears his throat. She presses herself back into the hay, strangled sounds of fear and distress find their way out of her tear roughened throat. He holds up his hands, the faint lamp light catching his face so she can see his look of sympathy. “It is alright child. I am not hear to hurt you. My companion and I were just passing by and we heard the sounds of someone crying.” He motions back towards James for a moment, tilting to the side so she can see him. 'It is best she see him now rather than be startled out of the charm at the sudden sight of him' Her frightened glance at James is brief, more concerned with the man approaching her slowly.

“Forgive me my lord, but this be of no concern of yours. Please, just let me be. . .” He voice is raw, and Dorian wonders if she was held at the throat at some point. A small hand comes up to wipe roughly at her face, however as the elder draws in close enough his charm starts her tears flowing once more. “I j-just need a m-moment to gather myself.” She begins sobbing again and with practiced grace Dorian moves in beside her. She does not object as he settles in the hay beside her, and only resists for an instant as he warps his arms around her. He makes light shushing noises and she collapses against his chest, her arms trapped between them.

“Hush child, do not worry so. There is no shame in crying when the situation calls for it, and by these marks. . .” He lets his voice trail off as his words redouble her sobbing. With one arm crossing her back the other one comes up and he rubs her neck gently. Carefully he seeks out the spot where he blood flows most freely and covers it with his fingers. In her sorrow her dress had fallen quite low and most of her neck and shoulder is exposed. Looking to James he motions for the boy to come sit on her other side. When he is close enough Dorian whispers, “Be gentle as you can little one.” The girl is so distressed she doesn't seem to hear him. He keeps his fingers in place so her life is in less danger and once James begins to feed he leans down lower and takes hold of her with his own fangs to keep her relaxed with his venom.
Kinn watches with vague curiosity as the man rends his own clothing from his body. 'I must admit, that looks far more comfortable. Clothing is such a bother. It separates one from this other in a most unpleasant manner. However, that has no real bearing on the task at hand' Reaching up to the plain silver clasp at his throat Kinn snaps it open, causing the cloak to fall from his frame and pool around him on the floor. In the same motion he slides in closer to the other male. “Then it is decided. . .” He murmurs faintly, drawing the sickly body in close, flesh against flesh, until he can feel his magics working their way about the human. His arms snack around the man's torso, one hand on his back to hold him in place while the other one snakes up to grip his neck gently. His long fingers spread, forcing the human's neck to arch for better access.

A faint warmth radiates off of his body, the magics granted him for this task doing their work as he leans in for his first taste of the befouled lifeblood. As his fangs sink through the thin, willing flesh of his neck, Kinn cringes inwardly at the vile, rotten flavor. However he does not stop, his venom pouring through the wound to numb the area. 'That should help with the pain. I can not take too much, he could not tolerate it, and I don't think I could stomach it. . .' He can feel himself gagging after only a couple mouthfuls and with one last swallow he releases a new venom to put the man to sleep. Coughing lightly he pulls back, a faint shudder running down his spine. As soon as he's sure the man is asleep the vampire picks him up and places him on the large bed.

'That shakes have begin already. This stuff is potent. Maybe it isn't natural?' He watches his trembling fingers and shakes his head. 'Indeed, this may be the work of an outside force. He has been this way since childhood. Who would wish this on a child? Even we who are born of the night do not bare our fangs at ones so young. . . .' Crawling carefully over the slumbering man Kinn settles into the bed next to him, drawing the blankets up to cover the man and keep him warm. Kinn however lets the night caress his now shuddering figure as his body tries to cope with what he's just ingested. 'This is going to be very unpleasant for me. I should be well enough by morning. . .' With that he lets himself slip away while his body continues to do it's work.

Rues bounces a little to get Seishu's attention. The guardian had been lost in thought for several minutes without noticing it, and the silence felt off to the little minion. As Seishu looks his way Rue shoots back a smile before asking, “So, um, what WAS the energy? Where'd it come from? I didn't know you could make any other kind of energy, y'know?”

Seishu thinks hard for a moment. 'Well, I could tell him what I THINK it is, but I don't think it's my place to talk about it around a subordinate not my own. It's up to Enasi what he wants his underlings to know about the workings at out level. . . .But then again, Rue is basically mine while I'm here so. . . .' His head bops back and forth as he bats around all the different options until at last he settles on what he thinks is best. Clearing his throat he looks to the little minion, who at the moment has his eyes wide and curious as the remain locked on the Nightmare Guardian. “Well, I can't tell you everything, but I will say that last night my sleep was different from any other sleep I've ever had, and it has something to do with being here, I think. Or at least, being in the proximity of a certain something.”

Rue nods vigorously. “Oh! Well, was it better than usual, or worse, or just different?” The boy keeps his questions vague in hopes that he can get a little more information out of the larger male.

Seishu presses a finger over his lip in thought, contemplating on weather or not to answer the question at all, however he is saved the trouble by the door opening. His gaze settles on his counterpart as he enters. 'Well, it's kinda obvious that he really was there last night. I can feel the tumble of emotions in there' Rue gives the guardian a little more time to think as he bounces up from the bed and runs over to give Enasi a hug. Seishu stick out his tongue at the happiness flooding the room, but stays silent as Rue starts telling Enasi about what he felt last night.

“Lord Enasi, you won't believe it, but last night something really weird happened! I was just laying there, having a really neat dream where Mister Seishu was teaching me sword fighting,” Seishu can't help but chuckle at the visual that brings to his mind's eye. “and before I knew it I was taking on this big beast, but then I woke up! There was this really weird feeling, and I thought it was a bad guy, and I was all ready to fight it off all by myself! And I could have too I bet, but that's not what it was. It turns out it was Mister Seishu! I looked at him, and he seemed all calm and stuff, not like last time I saw him sleeping where he looked kinda upset the whole time, but anyways, it was really different!” Taking a breath too fast to actually count as a break in his talking he continues. “When he woke up, I asked him about it, and he said he had a really different kinda sleep last night. I don't really know what that means, isn't all sleep the same? I mean it's sleep, right? But anyways he said is was prolly because of being here, or at least near something, which means he doesn't want to tell me, or he can't because he's like that. Then I asked him if it was better or worse than before, and I was waiting for the answer when you came in!”

When at last Rue pauses, his head whips around to Seishu expectantly. He saw this coming, but for some reason instead of looking to Rue to give his answer, the devious side of him draws his eyes up to his counterpart and in a smooth voice he says softly, but loud enough for them to head, “Best I ever had. . .” Rue cocks his head for a second but then smiles happily.

Hnnn. . . I can see we both have very different styles. . . .
Heh, Yu's section seems a little jerky, but I think from a cat's point of view, that's kinda how the world works :P
The charms jangle lightly as the branch they are tied to is disturbed. It shakes slightly, dipping under the weight of the feline making it's way towards the end. Dipping lower and lower the branch threatens to break, but at just the right moment the feline leaps off to the top of an old brick wall not a foot beneath the rustling leaves. With slow lolloping grace Yu makes his way down the length of the wall, a happy little purr in the back of his throat. 'That was a good breakfast. I should remember that family, they seem very kind' He pauses to stretch languidly, the sun overhead already warming the rough brick beneath his paws. His moth stretches wide, revealing a full set of unnaturally white teeth for a cat. 'I wonder if they always have fish in the afternoon. I should check' Yu glances back the way he came and with a curl of his tail continues on his little trek.

He's walked this path many times in the last few weeks. When he arrived in this town only a few months ago, the youkai was unsure if there would be any good places for him to get settled, however after a thorough search he at last found a part of town not completely taken of by human advancements. While he would never shun the city dwelling youkai, he himself prefers a more natural atmosphere. A ray of sunlight strikes his back and the white fur there seems to gleam brightly for an instant. The first youkai he met after arriving asked him how he received such a grievous injury, however Yu declined to say. The scar, so he keeps insisting to himself, is just a reminder at this point. A reminder to be cautious, and to never go too far in your trust to anyone.

Still purring happily he crawls up a steep inline in the wall and at last arrives at his destination. The high stone archway running over one of the main thoroughfares between the suburbs and the center of the city is, in the cat's opinion, the best place to nap at mid day. Turning his eyes to the sky for a moment he listens closely as a faint breeze wisps by, ruffling his fur ever so slightly. His eyes close in concentration and deep inside his purr grounds to a halt. 'The whispers are harsh today. Something is coming' His eyes open slowly, the golden orbs returning to the earth below as a slight movement catches his attention. 'There he is again' Moving carefully to one edge, then across to the other as the young man passes beneath the arch, Yu keeps his eyes locked on the figure as it passes by.

For over a week now Yu has taken to watching him carefully, the sometimes faint, sometimes obvious, signs of abuse and fighting having caught his attention. 'It's bad enough when humans go to war, but even in this peace, such violence towards one another. . .' His keen eyes pick out a couple new injuries on the boy and a pain runs through his chest. The warning whispers on the wind set his feet in motion and without much thought Yu begins following behind the boy, keeping high up and out of sight as he tracks him through town. The streets are busy at this hour, however the boy seems to pay them no heed. 'Always watching those little devices. I wonder if any humans look at the world around them any more' As the young brunet enters an area with less people about Yu risks getting a little closer, following just out of sight of the boy's periphery, not knowing that there is no periphery to hide behind from this side. The wind floats past again, it's warning louder this time making Yu's fur stand on end. 'Trouble'
