Current Nihilism is freedom. To be without purpose is to be free of the oppression of destiny. To be without cause is to be free to make your own. Woe to he who has an outside reason to be. For he is a slave.

Let's not go too far off the deep end. They do have to fit inside the box. And in spite of just how big this thing is, and it's big, it can actually be kind of cramped in here.

I can agree to that compromise.

But life is empty. Always has been and always will be. It's just a way to pass the time until you die and vanish forever into blissful oblivion. So like don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Of course not. But you can't consistently get it out of human writers either. That's why you read all the millions of manuscripts sent to you by would be Tolstoys and Tolkiens and pick the good stuff.

Bio

Long ago in the distant past there was only color. Color to be loved, to be hated, color to please thoughts and corrupt minds. Color to color but newer shape. And than one day everything changed. We do not speak of this event nor of the times thereafter. For they were dark times when color took shape and shape rejected color. To this day the two remain separate, ever touching but newer becoming one. With one exception.

What you see before you is the purple cube of the cosmos. The merger of shape and color and ultimate avatar of the color purple in its physical form. Its N-dimensional form exists beyond your comprehension leaving but a shadow in the form of a cube for you to perceive. A cube with right angles and yet no sharp edges.

It's guardian, a being of it and yet distinct from it and one with it all at the same time dwells within. Or perhaps they dwell together, or just dwell. The later is most certainly true these days a the cube orbits earth having after an eternity in space discovered the internet and its endless supply of cat videos. Now the two orbit hungrily in search of satellites to consume so as to feed its insatiable hunger for cute.

Well yes and no. It's the closest match, as sometimes they are portrayed as child eaters... Western ogres are usually brutish, huge, and sometimes have magical powers.

Oni usually have afterlife demonic traits due to their association to the eastern equivalent of Hell.

Oh well.

I will freely admit that my knowledge of eastern mythology is fairly limited to the point that I goofed. Most of what I know about it o comes from video games and dubbed anime. Oh well.

Reading this it does sound interesting to an extent. At least the vampire bit. Like it has all the basics for a good story, good character development and everything. I could start out as a laid back evil vampire that kills people like you or I might a chicken, no malice or anything either, just food and than slowly fall in love and reclaim my humanity over the course of the story. The only problem is that I am really not comfortable typing out sex scenes. And I mean that in the strictest sense. On the plus side I am a fan of gratuitous literally violence.
Oni is usually translated as Ogre.

Something new I learned just now by googling. I always thought it was like the Japanese word for a demon like thing.

As an aside, how does Mia relate to the actual afterlife Oni in DBZ, you know the assistants of King Yenma...

None whatsoever. I basically forgot those things existed. Or rather this is the first time I've heard of then. Googling them up now it appears that I knew of them but they had a different name in the dub I watched as a kid.

As to her view of the afterlife she has no idea about any of that stuff. What ever knowledge of the afterlife she has is heavily filtered by her own cultural and religious background which stems from a planet that has been in continuous self imposed isolation from the rest of her universe for about 1000+ years. Like imagine if Switzerland was to build a giant dome over top it self and declare permanent neutrality of the "we'll kill you if you invade and we don't want your trade." sort of kind. I deliberately wanted to create a character that's just a total fish out of water here so as to invoke the original spirit of the DBZ Namek arc.
Yea... humans. Another species evolved from primates. Like Mia is going to have a heart attack once she realizes just how many aliens come from monkeys. Here is to hoping we get a chance to banter about evolutionary biology at some point.
