No, of course it wouldn't be that easy. Of course the Abyssal would just eat its own energy right back. Of course. At the very least he had successfully protected his team, for the time being. With that out of the way, he turned tail and ran the fastest way he could: jetting forward through the use of Surge. Once back out into the main dome of the library, Akoni was confident the tide would turn in their favor. He was still confident that he was correct, but knew that it wasn't going to be that simple, especially once he witnessed what else this creature could do. Not only was it enormous, not only did its mouth act as a vacuum to charge some sort of eldritch beam, but it was highly mobile, dodging other attacks with relative ease, and unleashing its own counter in the form of widespread fire.
"Aw crap!" The elderly mage had hoped it wouldn't be able to use something widespread like this. His gates could only defend against smaller strikes, like the beam, but not something as widespread as this! Much as it pained him, the crickets were on their own against the blue fire while Akoni defended himself, utilizing River Current once more. This time the entry gate materialized directly between himself and the fire, while the exit gate opened behind him. He was spared the flame, but not the heat. Convection being the bitch that it is, Akoni's skin reddened with slight burns and his clothing darkened, threatening to ignite if left in the heat any longer.
It was time for a counter attack. Their foe had situated itself upon the ceiling while Souta foolishly clung to the beast, apparently with no actual plan as to what he would do afterward. Eruption!" he cried out, intending to sock the beast square in the jaw with Lammasu, the gauntlet's knuckles covered in a long blade. Once the attack was complete, he intended to drop back through the gate and into his original starting position. It might not do as much damage as he would like, but perhaps it would ensure Souta remained unnoticed long enough for the kid to come up with an actual plan, or at least get away.

That doesn't answer my question, or go as deep as I was looking for. Yes the CS he put up for now has a section to choose 3 tagged skills, but I also asked about traits/perks, and if there were mechanics, or if this was more of a narrative guide.

So other than the fact that this would make 2 undead and officially 3/4 characters based in fantasy (and I would like more variety in this game), I don't have any bone of contention with this. Feel free to add Benny to the character section, then throw up an introduction post in her native environment from which to be whisked away by Crocus.

While the main waiter had since already vanished, Zhou's outburst did not go unnoticed, for there was still the smaller waiter, still fruitlessly picking at non-existent crumbs and dirt specks with the chop sticks. He jumped out of his skin (literally! he stood before them now with his muscles and blood vessels showing, the skin and nice suit now lying on the floor like a discarded sack!) in shock and fear. Well, maybe not fear per say, but a mocking pretend fear, like someone was merely imitating the emotion in a condescending manner. Regardless, the tiny waiter (wait, he still had an afro despite not having any skin left?) picked up his discarded outer organ and dashed off, out of sight.
No sooner had the tiny, skinless waiter vanished did the two hear a voice seemingly materialize from nowhere. "I see your point, sir. You are most certainly correct, there is a mistake on the check. Please allow me to fix this error for you." The main, larger waiter had spoken, but from where had he come? It was as though he were not there, and suddenly he was. The man picked up the check, then suddenly he was wearing a visor over his head and was running a spool of paper through an accountant's calculator. He typed across some numbers, yanked the lever that moved the paper on to the next line, then continued to do the same, all the while he spoke at a rapid pace.
"In addition to the meal price, we've got to take into consideration the charge for entertainment, atmosphere, running the oven, supply and demand, electric, property rental, smoke alarms, service fee, wages for my staff, wages for the staff of my other establishment, wages for my sword and gun, wages for cleanup, purchase of the vacuum cleaner, running water, gratuity fee, appetizers, smell-itizers, decor, cleanup of the mess Bruno here made, aaaaaaaand of course there's the feeding service for our disabled guest. All in all your bill proper comes out to $9,465,362.01. Plus tax." He casually tossed aside the calculator and placed the new bill atop the table for Zhou and Bruno to look over. Will you be implementing a trait/perk/skill system, or will the SPECIAL be about the end of mechanics, used as more of a guiding factor?
Actually, Tactics is canon, just in broad strokes. Specific details didn't happen the way portrayed, but the general events are confirmed canon. But yeah, an intellectual fighting his primal urges was exactly what I was thinking, but it's completely understandable that you wouldn't want an intelligent deathclaw as a PC.

How canon is Fallout Tactics for this? What with the Midwestern BoS recruiting tribals, ghouls, super mutants, training deathclaws, so on and so forth. Oh, speaking of deathclaws, what about the near-extinct greyback clan, that are sentient? If possible I'd love to play one that keeps his claws trimmed and tries to interact with societies (under cloak most likely, like a certain other deathclaw companion, mwahahaha).
Looks awesome. So as far as the mutants go, are they the same strain FEV as the rest of the East coast mutants, migrants from Mariposa, or another strain of FEV unique to the region? Each strain leads to slightly different mutants, what with Mariposa mutants having a higher percentage of mutants retaining intelligence, while East coast mutants get better bigger as they age, etc.
