Personality
As can be expected from anyone who has experienced as much as Raymond has, he is very shut-off with his feelings. Ray is a stoical (both emotionally and physically) and reserved person, a recluse, and becomes uncomfortable with any heartfelt conversations. He often tries to change the subject when that happens but if he knows the person talking to him just needs it, he’ll just tough it out and listen. Ironically, Ray is also rather talkative and isn’t shy at all (though he doesn’t mind those ‘comfortable silences’ either). He’s very sociable most of the time and easy to get along with. This frequently makes him a target for any new trainees seeking out a superior whom they want to feel comfortable with, rather than constantly on edge for fear of screwing something up. However, Ray always makes sure to set his boundaries and keep his social life separate from his business life. He dislikes taking advantage of his rank but will do so without hesitation if he finds people starting to cross that line, and he’ll always make sure to put inferior-ranking soldiers in their place. It’s often mentioned to him that Ray seems indifferent, but that’s a misconception coming from his serene and blasé attitude. One aspect of his that tends to surprise most people is how ascetic he is, but not for religious purposes. It’s similar to a strict self-discipline lifestyle, but a harsher version of that. Raymond is also one of those people whom anyone can trust, but he himself trusts no one. He’s also protective, fiercely loyal, and he has this uncanny ability to switch to his ‘polar opposite’ whenever his job requires it. Anyone who’s ever had the rare opportunity to witness him interrogating prisoners of war can vouch for that.

History
Born in the UKD’s capital city Rokma, Raymond started life with his twin sister Darnell at a small orphanage. They never knew their parents or the reasons behind their abandonment, but that was considered irrelevant to them. Other than the obvious, Raymond and Darnell grew up like normal children; they attended school, they made friends, and despite the constant switching from one house to the next, they felt comfortable enough to consider it ‘home’. But time flew by and the years passed; the twins kept hopping from one foster to the next, and it seemed neither would ever be adopted at this pace. Raymond, having already accepted the harsh fact of his likely fate, couldn’t care less. His sister, however, never gave up hope. As the saying goes, “be careful of what you wish for.” Darnell learnt that lesson the hard way when her new adoptive family decided to take her in, but leave Raymond behind. It took a lot of convincing and promises but after a long talk, Ray finally persuaded Darnell to go with them on the agreement that he would visit her often. True to his word, Ray snuck out every night to see her. He eventually got in trouble and for this and finally when he reached 18, he was kicked out of the foster care system. He ended up joining a street gang and quickly adapted to his new lifestyle, but made sure never to let Darnell find out about this. Though he never directly participated in any needless crimes, Ray was labeled a criminal and became a wanted man. Darnell remained oblivious but her family soon found out. Life went on and Darnell soon found someone to spend the rest of her life with, Jackson. Ray was a bit overprotective at first but after hearing Darnell’s pleas, spending some time with Jackson, and doing a little research on him, Ray gradually came to accept Jackson and gave them the space they needed. Needless to say, Ray still kept his eye on them. Darnell had just turned 22 when Jackson finally proposed to her. Ray was happy for his sister and though her parent’s didn’t entirely approve, he helped her plan everything for it. After months of waiting, the wedding night finally came. And it was that night when Raymond’s life changed forever… By the end of the night, Ray had lost his beloved sister and had been thrown into jail under false accusations of murder and grand theft. He tried to prove his innocence but no one believed him as there was too much evidence pointing to him. Ray was taken for trial and sentenced to death row, but thankfully through his connections he managed to get help and break out before that could happen. He fled and eventually landed himself in the army. By age 24 he was serving loyally under the UKD rule. He worked hard and pushed himself beyond what most could even hope of achieving. Keeping himself busy was the only way he could distract himself from the reality that cursed him. Ray quickly worked his way up the ranks and was soon acknowledged by many. However, his superiors started to feel threatened by him and after uncovering his true past, they decided to dispose of him. Long story short, he was used and betrayed; Ray escaped after 15 years of service to the UKD. To the citizens of the UKD, he is believed to have died a hero and to the UKD superiors who know of the truth, he is a threat to be terminated. When he left, Ray switched over to the RAS and eventually joined the Rebirth program. It was a difficult process but he was finally accepted by the RAS and is now serving with blind faith, his past to remain a secret in exchange for information on the UKD forces.

● sᴋɪʟʟs: Because of his many years of experience, Ray knows at least the basics of almost everything. He reaches around average level in close-combat, flying, and gun usage but his best asset is his mind. He has a high stamina and likes to keep extremely busy, often training himself both mentally and physically; he is typically found at the gym or solving some sort of puzzle during his free time. He’s a deep thinker and has taught himself to be able to focus on almost any problem given to him and can stay calm in even the most chaotic of situations.
● ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇssᴇs: Raymond, though he has the ability to keep himself together doing hectic times, he apparently cannot function properly under pressure. The reason behind this is unknown but that kind of stress, though definitely less demanding than plenty of other things in his life, makes him anxious.
● ʀᴏᴍᴀɴᴛɪᴄ ʀᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴsʜɪᴘ: Taken.
● ᴏᴛʜᴇʀ: Raymond hasn’t shared this information but he’s in a relationship with a woman named Anita. He met her a few years back on the planet Naidor, where she currently resides. Also, he has had his Rebirth clones tattooed too so he’ll still have them whenever he is reincarnated.
● ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ: Raymond has short ebony-colored hair and a rare set of lavender-stained eyes which can appear violet in dark lighting. He has olive skin, reaches 6’3” in height, and weighs 215 lbs. Being as large and muscular as he is, Ray is often thought of as intimidating but he’s more like a gentle giant. Also, he has 4 unique tattoos. The first one [wolf & rose] is on the left half of his chest above where the heart allegedly is; the second one [dragon & skull] is on his left shoulder; the third one [tiger] goes along his left bicep and tricep; the fourth one [wolf with antlers] is inked onto his left, lower arm. He got most of these back home when he was still part of a gang, each with its own distinct meaning and each holding another memory for him.
