He also has enhanced reflexes and equilibrium, allowing him to hold almost any position. _Wall crawling_ Because of the radioactive spider, Parker developed microscopic hooks all over his body that he can expose of hide at will. They never told him anything of his parent's involvement with SHIELD, in hopes of having him lead a normal childhood. At the age of fifteen, Peter went on a field trip to Oscorp, the corporation belonging to the father of his long-time friend, Harry Osborn. During the field trip, Parker encountered a radioactive spider, which bit him and mutated him. Soon after, he was given the abilities of a spider. While startled about the abilities at first, he quickly grew to loving them, and became the superhero known as Spiderman. SHIELD was quick to pick up on the Parker child, and monitored him and his superhero activities. It wasn't until Peter became eighteen that SHIELD confronted him and offered to let him into their ranks. He was quick to accept, and learned the tricks of the trade at a rapid pace. To expand a bit more on the idea of a energy reader, why not just a guru, who didn't have access to the knowledge of the avatar util they turned sizteen or whatever, since it does seem to be the age where the avatar of the age is revealed.

Yeah, I guess they would have. what if there were conditions to this? Like maybe just waiting for the right time when all of the pieces were in place. because having the avatar locked up for a number of years would only give them time to train and escape. They would probably find out that they are the Avatar while kidnapped. This way, he wouldn't have time to learn to work with the elements in wherever they kept him, and would only be able to use his native element. Does this make any sense? It doesn't feel like it.

I'd assume that some event would take place in the spirit world when a new avatar is born, maybe even hinting at their loaction of birth. KNowing that, along with what their native element is, they could track the avatar rather quickly by searching for date of birth and bending.

Yeah, but it does seem like a bit of a problem, and I'm fine with changing if it's needed.

I can have a female character as my earthbender to make things a bit better. plus it would help me work on using female characters overall.

Name: Nikko Terrace Age: 19 Gender: Male Element: Air Appearance: Abilities: To simulate the effects of Airbending, Nikko has small jets in his arm and hands to push the air around. While it does not perfectly replicate airbending, it gives his organic arm more to work with. His jets also work in the water to propel himself around Nikko is also highly athletic and acrobatic, and knows a bari bit about hand to hand combat. He can quickly think of ways to escape death. Personality: Nikko enjoys pushing the limits of his body and his bending, hoping to see what crazy stunt he can accomplish next. He loved reading about what kind of bending improving items are created, and wishes that he wasn't kicked out during his internship as a product tester. Brief Bio: Nikko was born to two daredevil parents, who eventually passed their habits onto their son. He was a rather smart boy, learning to walk and talk faster than others, but still showing normal signs of growth in most cases. The three of them constantly push each other past their limits, learning new things and praticing new stunts all of the time. Because of this, Nikko grew up knowing a few different martial art styles that focused on his thin and almost wiry frame. One day, attempting a new stunt in order to push his limits, Nikko slipped from the top of a building and hit the ground. While he was able to use his airbending to cushion the blow as much as possible, he still shattered his arm, his leg, the side of his head, and several other things. Nikko was forced to get cybernetic replacements for his arm and eye, and cybernetic attachments to his leg. The rehabilitation process was long and hard for Nikko, as he didn't trust the robotic parts, but he eventually got over it, losing the fears he gained through that fall. He then became a product tester for a company that supplied equipment that was meant to help benders with their abilities, but after being caught stealing the equipment for 'extra testing' he was fired.
