Bio

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste discerning in his choice of ramen. I'm a Canadian student currently living in Germany to do my Masters. I enjoy sports, martial arts, reading, writing, videogames and draw inspiration from all of these for my roleplays.

As for RPs, I like many different topics but only ever join one or two at a time. Any more than that, and I run out of time to write, so my quality really starts to slip. The upside of this is that I almost never drop an RP unless everyone else deserts it. If you see me apply to yours, it probably means I'm in for the long haul.

Lilly's Post

It's happening! Fire! FireFireFire!

*Crack* *CrackCrackCrackCrack-PING!*

The shrill sound of the clip ejecting signalled to Lilly that it was time to reload. She had hurriedly joined in on the torrent of bullets that was showering the tank and its escourt, firing wildly with little accuracy. Crouching as she reloaded (for the enemy squad was starting to fire back), she saw Private Glaive shooting at a couple of scouts that were trying to flank them. The rest of squad four must have been flanking around on either side. What should she do? She briefly thought about trying to shoot one of the shocktroopers behind the enemy tank - help keep Private Bons safe, but she immediatly discounted it. If he missed his first shot, he might already be out. That meant their team was the only one with a lance left! She had to keep Corporal Stichler safe. That meant ignoring the tank escourt for now.

When she finished loading her rifle, Lilly scrambled as quickly as she could in her tired state. The scouts were in cover, and though the manuver she was doing terrified her, she knew that meant she had a chance to get to a new position. Crouching as she ran to a small grove of trees, she ducked behind a trunk and cautiously peered out to see if they had spotted her.

...

They hadn't.

As Private Glaive traded shots with them, their attention was entirely focused on her group's lance position. That meant that she could do THIS!

*CrackCrackCrack* *PingPingPing!*

Taken by surprise, an approaching scout's role in the battle was quickly ended. The cover that had been protecting them from Glaive had limited effectivness from the side, and that meant several easy targets.

*CrackCrack-PING!*

By the time Lilly needed to reload, the other three scouts had gathered their senses enough to back off and started returning fire. A fourth man in the background opened up on her, showering her tree with bullets as Lilly dropped to the seated position, thoroughly supressed. That was a shocktrooper. She couldn't fight one of them head on, especially with the other scouts to support him! But if he got in close, their group would be toast...

Where could she go?! Could she flank around? If she-*RATTATATATA*

Her idea was quickly dropped after very nearly eating a half dozen bullets when she peaked around the tree. She was stuck here, but at least it was buying Stichler time. Sighing to herself, Lilly radioed Glaive and Stichler.

"Private Glaive, Corporal Stichler... I am pinned down and a shock trooper is approaching you. Once the tank has been eliminated, you should make haste to the Sergeant and his machine gun. I will cover your retreat, as I am unable to move from my position." Even in the heat of battle, she maintained her overly formal way of speaking.

This turn of events disappointed her greatly. While what she did was correct in her eyes - she was buying her group valuable time and had even managed to eliminate an enemy - she was still doomed. She wasn't going to get out of this position 'alive', and the fact that she would not be able to do more saddened her. She quickly loaded her rifle and made ready for an opening when she would be able to attack again.

Evan's Post

"All Hell's breakin' loose down there, Darcsen. Think they'll be able to take out that tank?" Evan shifted as he observed the battle with Harald. Bons's shot had missed, but they still had the Corporal's lance to count on. If the Darcsen's plan failed here, they were going to be in a world of trouble. There wasn't much that he could do now, though. All he could do was watch and wait.
I'll get a post up tomorrow. Had work tonight and I'm exhausted.
@Slypheed

Oh shit. Oops. Wrote that at like 1am, so makes sense I would fuck something up.

Will fix.
Sorry about taking so long, guys. Life sorta happened there.

Honestly, though, it probably would not be a bad idea to skip part of the battle, if only because its not really fun to keep people waiting.
Lilly's Post

Not wanting to waste any time (and risk getting any more drowsy than she already was), Lilly took off with her group, heading straight down the center before flanking off to the side. They had to slow their pace somewhat so that Corporal Stichler could keep up, and that resulted in them arriving later than they would have hoped to their position. As they continued circling around, Stichler's radio crackled to life, informing them of the Sergeant's position. Oh no... Lilly looked back and saw that they were almost directly ahead of the machine gun. They needed to keep moving further to the right.

Suddenly, a rumble and the glint of shining metal caught Lilly's eye. "t-Tank!" She shouted to the group as loudly as she dared, before dropping prone. The rest of the squad did the same, hoping to avoid the tank noticing them.

...

Had they been seen?

...

A minute passed, and the tank made no sign of aiming at them or changing course. I suppose it didn't see us, Lilly thought to herself before whispering the all clear and beginning to crawl towards a small mound covered in long grass. It was not their planned or ideal position, but it was probably the the best place they could reach via method of stomach.

...

Actually, this position wasn't half bad. Lilly peered through the grass as she waited for the rest of the group to catch up, and saw that they actually had a clear line of fire on the tank. It was only a slightly elevated mound, but it would provide cover and the grass provided camouflage for them until they started shooting. As Glaive and Celeste caught up, the tank's escorts started coming into view. One... Two... Four... Five. Five infantry were escorting the tank directly. It looked like... Two scouts and three shocktroopers. Or maybe an engineer. Lilly couldn't quite identify the fifth one, due to the distance, but she could say for certain that at least half of squad six were in their sights.

She relayed this information both to her partners and the Sergeant over the radio, before moving over to allow Celeste to get into position. Switching the safety off on her rifle, Lilly rubbed her eyes, yawned one last time and looked over at the group. "Is everyone ready? It is time to act."

Evan's Post

Evan followed Harald across the field, albeit at a much slower pace (the darcsen had to wait up a few times). Running across the battlefield was one thing, but trying to sneak an APC's machinegun into position without being noticed was another challenge altogether. This irritation only increased as the Sergeant apparently expected him to crawl under the bushes with his machine gun. When they got to overgrown sections like that, he had to get Harald to bend some of the branches back for him so he could do some sort of awkward crouching shuffle through the brush.

When they eventually got to their spot, he dropped the crate of ammunition and slung the gun off his back, setting it up quickly and feeding it a belt of munition. Fortunately squad six didn't seem to have noticed their approach. "Alright, Darcsen. She's good to go." Evan clapped Harald on the shoulder, before moving over to assist in feeding the belt once they started firing. Remembering what happened to their two scouts in the previous battle, he hoped the tank would be taken down before they needed to reveal their position.
I'll try to get a post up tonight, been running around all day doing volunteer stuff.

Edit: NVM. Too damn tired. Sorry.
Hey @Lennon79! You got featured!

Know its 3 days old, but still. Pretty cool.
I think the 18th is like... the universally least productive day of work in the year.

RIP everyone's livers. Get well soon.
