Keiko paused, watching carefully. It wasn't unheard of for one of the colors to be a shapeshifter, and this could easily be a trap.

"Careful," she said. "And be prepared to run on my command, mister."

Just to be on the safe side, Keiko kept close to Minoru's left side. At this vicinity, it wasn't hard for her to see that the boy wasn't unattractive. It was a thought she put aside for later, and instead focused on the mutt.
Keiko. "Good; stick close."

'Kei, what are you doing?' she mentally chastised herself. 'You're going to get yourself killed.'

But she had long since gotten used to ignoring her own common sense; one had to in this job. Instead, she checked their exit(no one there) and slipped out. She held his arm as they moved out, going through the school's lest used paths and alleys.

"We need to find the tram back to the city," she explained. "We can hide better from there..."
One, a Knight; a wealthy noble with plenty of prestige, and plenty of secrets to keep to himself. Another, a street performer with nary a gold bit to her name, and an unfortunate tendency to end up in troublesome situations. Both stubborn and strong-minded, and hating the other with a fiery passion.

Then, one day, they become tied together in the worst way. Our Knight angers a witch to her breaking point, and she will have her revenge. She sees our knight's hatred for this street rat, and decides to teach him a lesson. She binds their souls together, tying the life of one to the other. If he dies, so does she; if she, than he. With the various battles sir knight must do, and the violent aggressors our dancer must dodge, both must now find some common ground before their actions find them both dead.

And that's the idea :) I prefer to play the female begger/performer, and I'm looking for someone who can post not a lengthy response, necessarily, but a competent one. I would like at least a paragraph, but two would be lovely.

Post here if interested, and we can flesh out what we need.
"Dude, if you are a murderer I'm already in trouble," she said. "The big guys are usually okay with letting me mess their operation up because I've been a neutral party. At this point, they're probably sure you're guilty and I just aidded you escape."

The banshee picked up his backpack and tossed it into his chest. "Now pack up; we're heading for my place, and we'll come up with a plan later. You're not safe here, so let's go."
.
if you'd still like a partner, the witch and peasant idea could be fascinating :)

I'm not a fan of that song in the slightest, but I can play along XD
He had a good point, but it didn't mean she had to like it. She sighed, lowering her head, and walking around him. "I guess you've made up your mind," she said.

She spun around and wrapped an arm around his neck in a headlock, holding him down a moment.

"Alright smart, listen good," she said; "If you're bound and determined to go outside, and this is really as dangerous as you said it is, let's be productive. You're going to pack the necessities, and we're going to leave campus and get as far away from here as we can; understand?"
"Wow now, hang on-"

Keiko sprung back to her feet, and grabbed him by the arm. "Are you nuts?" she asked, eyes wide. "It doesn't matter now if you did it or not, you're a wanted man! Anybody spots you they'll mug you and take you back just for the reward!"

She bit her lip with a sigh, taking back her hand, and scratching her hair. "Look...I don't know if you're innocent or not, but, if you are, I don't want you to just wonder off into danger. I wouldn't forgive myself, especially if I could have helped you."
Keiko narrowed her eyes in suspicion, turning her head back to the tv. He didn't seem like the type who would kill someone; after all, he was about as frightening as a do. An yet that image couldn't be taken off her mind for all the money in the world.

Still, it wasn't as if she was defenseless. She shrugged, and crossed her arms again.

"I'll trust you, if only that I don't exactly care about my own survival," she said. "But I'm watching you."
"Maybe, or so they claim." Keiko sat herself up, and finally got to her feet. "You see, most of the time, the red gang and blue police usually stick to sticking their powers to each other. I'm fine with that, but occasionally their antics put people in trouble that don't belong to either. I just try to get them off the battlefield."

She frowned, looking down. "I usually tell myself that they don't attack without some kind of reason, but I can't see anything about you that would constitute as a threat. It's confusing-"

She stopped when she heard the static. The Banshee turned her head in shock as the gunshot echoed on the screen, and the very face she had rescued was staring into the camera. When the series of disturbing images failed, she turned a cool stare on Minoru, and crossed her arms.

"Now would be a good time for an explanation," she said in a cold voice. "Talk; now."
"No worries," Keiko said, sitting down on one of the many small chairs. "My place isn't any better. I find it a bit more homey to be honest."

She sighed, and closed her eyes, crossing both arms over her chest. "I'm sorry you got dragged into this," she said, opening one eye. "I'm hoping it ends at just a random attack. Then, if it looks safe, I'll be out of your hair."
