Aito post is done. A little shorter than intended, but I wanted to get it done before I pass out! Hope it's alright!

EDIT; Made minor corrections
Valla released her hold, leaving Aito rubbing his throat; the realization of his mis-step fresh in his mind. Damnit, man, I said something stupid. I knew the button was there and I pressed it anyway. He watched as she ascended the stairs, spitting sarcasm back at them. Aito took it in stride, fighting down the urge to open his Enlil Network interface and shoot her a quick apologetic message. That, however, wasn't his style. He preferred to handle interactions face-to-face; even if Vatalla was upset, he was willing to risk that gambit. Still, he had pressing matters to attend to.

Akira set out the basics of his Class, following up with an impressive display. The summon was a squat lion-like thing Aito had never seen before. It certainly wasn't a common Monster, and that brought a smile to break his otherwise darkening mood. Sticking close to its master, it cast wary glances at those assembled. He fought down the urge to pet it.

"Nice, looks like you've got a good spread of utility. With that thing holding the forefront, seems like you'll have an easy time performing the Thief portion of your Skill-set. I like it, man. A lot." With a nod in Akira's direction, putting forward his approval; he listened more intently to the duo that followed.

Red spoke up first, as he had expected. "I'm not big on violence, either," he offered with a smile in her direction, walking backwards to face over the group, "and Lucy's a nice name. If I had a weapon I would've named it 'Lucilotte'; so I guess we have similar tastes in naming beloved objects." He chuckled, bringing a hand to the back of his head; mind still not entirely cleared of his worries. "So you're a quick attack type, based on agility. Nice! Monsters hardly ever understand that method of attack. Just be careful. No offense, but you're small. Some of the higher-tier Monsters can counter that."

I like her, she's cute, but I wonder, Something felt a little off about such a slight and smiling girl wielding a weapon so fondly named. I'll have to see her in action, I bet. I'll hold my bad feelings back until that happens. Not like I've got a good reason to doubt her, anyway... He sighed, a little. I'll have to wrap this up soon. Thankfully Red nudged her companion forward. His eye darted to the stairway, from time to time.

"Hey, I'm the same way! Minus the whole 'Masochist' thing, kind of a kinky Class name, Yoshi," Aito's gaze was soft, though his mouth was set in a firm line. I might have to have a talk with him, later. Still, it never hurt to have more willing meat-shields around; he, himself, being proud to be among their ranks. "No one in the club is cannon fodder, trust me. Don't think of yourself that way. If you do, you'll certainly end up in a nasty situation. Then I'd have to throw myself in front of your throwing yourself in front of someone. Just let me know if you need to talk, alright?" He chuckled heartily, thinking that he saw a familiar form in the distance.

About time...I hope that's you, Zeke.

The hallway was coming to a close, Aito eager to catch up. Still, he had Yoshi to listen to. Something about the kid reminded him of himself, back in his middle school days. Withdrawn and easy to drag along. I'm not sure if he really wants to be here... The two met eyes to eye for a moment, and Aito gave him a wide smile. Then he gave the same to Red and Akira. "Well, it sounds like you guys have potential for sure. I'm thinking I might push you ahead of the other applicants and..."

That was when his suspicion was confirmed. Zeke spoke up, typical in his presentation and fashion. If Aito were to hazard a guess, Zeke had been catching up to them for a second. Which means he probably saw right through me. Damn. He lifted a hand, waving fondly; trying to keep his face as serious as possible.

"That's Zeke," caving, his Enlil Network interface open, and his hands rapidly working to send out a message, "he's pretty much my bro. Even if he can be a little harsh, at times, he's a good guy. He's above me in the chain of command, so I guess the final decision falls to him. Great Hunter, great secretary, great friend. Make sure you show him the same courtesy you showed me, alright?" There was no need for that statement, Red curtseying and Yoshi protesting their outing inwardly; or at least that was the Displacer's, gleaned from a glance at his face.

Hahaha, ah man. This's going to get me in some trouble...

He raised his voice. "Of course I'm taking responsibility, Zeke, you act like I didn't plan to do that once I brought them out of the HQ. Which reminds me, there's a crate in there; another Jojo drop-off for the rookies." His fingers worked at the message screen, Aito's intended recipient obvious to his friend. "It's not like there's anything going on until the overnight, by my guess anyway." Or, at least, he hoped not.

"Anyway, man, what kept you? Cannon said the meeting was...somewhere like nine minutes ago," he gave his friend a broad but crooked smile, "That's why I went ahead and started marching on." A thumb, over his turned shoulder; pointed at the group behind him. "Besides, I think a second opinion would be good. Catch up and we'll talk business, bro!"

The translucent screen closed and he left the rest to Valla; turning his attention back to the potential recruits and his friend, progress halted while the MHC Secretary caught up completely. His heart might've sunk, but his smile was still purely pleased. "I'm planning to check the third floor, for a while. That cool with you? Responsibility's mine, so I figure I can carry on with what I was going to do."
Starting work on my Aito post. Might be a little later than predicted, but today has been somewhat hectic.
"Yes," Ellie responded without pretense, her mouth setting into a light frown, "thankfully it's my first offense this year. If things go as they did previously, I'm certain I'll end up here a few more times." She had been warned against getting in trouble, but that was monstrously conflicted with her own sense of 'honor'; as well as what her mother and father had imparted to her. "Guts...?" A soft sigh left her, her eyes more pointedly drifting to Jayce; unreadable behind his glasses. "No," she said quietly, "I don't think that's what it is. Thank you, however."

Really, I don't know why I'm compelled to intervene, her fingers interlaced, the left digits brushing against the coarse strips of cloth that nullified her Tablet Power, I've been thinking about that, over the summer. My father says it's the duty of those who bear the Lunaclad name. My mother says it's because we should all strive to be good people. One finger worked against her knuckles absently. Ellie had never been one to speak of matters like this openly, though there were other things that could get her talking; she decided to spare those around her these private thoughts. I think it's because I want to.

Osman shifted in his chair, looking at Jayce and then Nico. "Dudes, let me be real. I've never seen anything like it. Real deal isn't even close!" With the cool-kid's jab at Seisil Ellie stiffened and Osman let out a long laugh. She chose to remain silent, though a worried glance from her periphery might have given her away. "He better be, that guy's been giving me hell since last year! I'm, uh...a Nobody...so...yeah..." Ellie brought her hands away from the desk, quietly turning her head to Osman. I wish he weren't so enthusiastic about praising me, her shoulders had tensed, but were slowly relaxing, I didn't do anything to earn it. Seisil didn't even look in their direction, his Enlil Network open; seemingly absorbed in sending messages.

Then her gaze flickered to Icarus. He's in a similar situation to Osman, came the thought, her fingers still absently running over themselves under the table, the Disciplinary Enforcement Squads are becoming more severe in their treatment of students. Aurora didn't care that Osman was the victim. Something will need to be done, if this continues. Her face had turned sour with stony displeasure, mouth setting into a thin line. At least Felicity is treating him kindly. His smile, though... Something was odd about that, certainly, but she couldn't understand why the newcomer would be happy in situation like this. Of course, there was much Ellie didn't understand about people; so she simply let it go.

The boy in front of her was calling out, again, to the newcomer; inviting him to partake of their ruse-earned freedom. Ellie smiled, slightly, letting her earlier thoughts flee into the ethereal distance. She wouldn't forget them, and certainly wouldn't be letting go of her growing dislike of the Disciplinary Squads. They would be dealt with, or at least contested, when the time was right; when she had more adequate cause to stand fully against them. "Future you?" She said it quietly, so as not to interrupt, but it was an interesting concept that she had never considered before. As far as Ellie thought, she was always her. Regardless of what moment in time she occupied. I wonder if Future Me is much different from Current Me. Past Ellie wasn't part of the equation, though, technically the Ellie that had that thought was already Past Ellie. Still, his point was valid enough.

The other boy slid back over with alacrity, giving the cool-kid an echoing high-five. Then he began speaking. Osman was turned away, looking around the room; but Ellie looked straight at Nico. She felt that the statement was more aimed at the newcomer than herself or Osman, but people often seemed to think she was the type to go beyond her bounds and ruin things. This particular thing, this situation that they had schemed up was actually rather beneficial. "I have no intention of marring a good thing by reporting you. I'm sure Osman will keep quiet about it, as well." A turn and nod from her companion cemented this arrangement. Companion... It was odd, when she considered it, but there was no other way to describe one of the boys she'd met in the courtyard, perhaps 'friend'. Regardless he seems to admire me. I hope I can live up to his expectations. Her thought ended, and introductions began.

"It's nice to meet you; Jayce, Nico and Felicity," though she had met Felicity, before, the two of them had not been around each other too often, "My name is Elefthemia Lunaclad. You can call me 'Ellie'." A smile accompanied her words, genuine, followed by a nod to each. While she wasn't entirely happy being called a 'rotten delinquent', she could tell that Jayce wasn't entirely serious about the label. "I hope we get along." While normally that was a polite statement, Ellie found herself meaning it.

Osman perked up, putting a thumb to his chest. "I'm Osman Cain, great to meet you!" He stretched out against his chair and put his feet on the table, nonchalant as he could be. "What, uh, do you guys do for fun in here? You've got the setup, for sure, but sitting around the rest of the day is going to be boooooring!"

Ellie supposed that was true, but her gut told her that nothing good would come of that statement.

I'll have a post up for Aito shortly after Mordecai posts. Which I've been informed will be sometime later today. I can't promise I'll get it done tonight, but at the worst it will be tomorrow morning.

I'm getting to work on an Ellie post, right now.
@MordecaiThe 1st Val is Approved, you can move her over to the Character Tab!
@floodtalon That's fine. I'll wait until sometime tomorrow before moving forward.

EDIT: As a note; When I say 'moving forward' I mean, simply, allowing Mordecai to post before you. Not that Akira is being skipped or ignored for this round of posts.
@floodtalon Hey, since it's been two days, I'm letting @MordecaiThe 1st post ahead of you. That is unless you've begun work on a post. If I haven't heard from you by the time I wake up, he has permission to proceed.
