Known history and secrets: It's not often that somebody is defined so much by the lineage they come from, but in many cases, Saisho is a product of those that came first. Saisho is the eldest son of the Kamizuru clan leader, and surprisingly, he is not a member of the Kamizuru. Often labeled as the Leader's bastard child, Saisho bears a name of none of the clans that came together to give him life. Instead, he bears one chosen for him. Saisho Shinu, First to die.
The above, is unknown. Unknown to all but Saisho, The Tsuchikage, and those in the Clan Leader's immediate family. The Clan, before Iwagakure was founded, was so often embroiled in war that death seemed close on all fronts. And the clan leader fell in love, with someone others would call an enemy. He fell in love with the daughter of the man who would be the first Mizukage. In secret, a child was born of this pair. Kicking and screaming into a world of blood and violence. The Mizukage's daughter didn't survive, and her body was burned to hide the evidence of the child. The child, was given to a farmer and his wife, hoping they would be able to raise the child away from war and death. But war always comes. War always finds the innocent.
Bandits seeking to feed off the weak and poor came to the farmer and his wife. At this point, the child was five years old. Unable to feed the desires of the Bandits, the farmer and his wife where killed. The child escaped under the house, and wandered, lost for days. Some say the boy was never seen again by others until he was thirteen, having survived in the forests and on his own. He was a hunter, powerful and talented. The Clan Leader of the Kamizuru, having just begun to help construct Iwagakure, heard about a mysterious child in the forests near the new village. Rather than send others, he chose to hunt the danger on his own. There, he met his child for the first time in thirteen years.
Rather than fight, the Leader brought the child to the new village. There, the child was to be trained in the ninja arts, and there, the child flourished. He was prodigal according to his teachers, and a cunning hunter of men. His training amongst the others younger them him gave him purpose. A goal to surpass others even though he never had the formal training younger ninja had. But, there was always limits. He just couldn't match the shinobi that came from long family lines, and he needed one more aid.
In the middle of the night, he approached the First Tsuchikage, and pleaded, begged, and promised to sell his soul for his aid. The Tsuchikage agreed to help, on the condition that Saisho would make a vow. That vow was to use his life as a shield to protect others, and that he would live up to the name given him. That Saisho would give his life, and if needed, would die before all others. Saisho vowed an everlasting creed, and thus, began his apprenticeship, under the father he never really knew.
Saisho's training under the Tsuchikage was brutal. Some days he would return with broken bones, or even bleeding from injuries new and old. But there was no doubt that every day he was stronger than before. Eventually, Saisho began to develop a new technique, one of his very own to rival that of others. He began to mix his body with whatever elements where near, and never just water. His body began to shift, and his powers grew higher and higher.
Eventually, battle between the villages grew even greater, and Saisho could no longer stand at a distance. He entered battle. Battle after battle... Day after day. He survived because of his jutsu, and each time he brought death to the enemy. Blood mixed with his stone jutsu, forming the perfect mortar for his defense of the village. The Granite Guardians took note of the chunnin who brought death in his wake. For each day he brought victory to the Iwagakure forces. Soon, he was considered a Jounin of the highest class. But it wasn't until he faced the Twelve Guardian Ninja of Konoha that his fame became known to the common men. Saisho fought, and killed two of the Twelve, claiming their lives in an endless struggle. But eventually, his injuries grew too great, and he was defeated. Against their better judgement, the Twelve let Saisho live, believing that it would be the ultimate dishonor to kill such a strong ninja.
For his display of power, the Tsuchikage had Saisho brought to him one more time. Together, Saisho and the Tsuchikage met in secret, sharing tea in the dead of night. It was there, that Saisho was taught of his heritage. There, he learned the truth of his father, his mother, and his own jutsu. All through this discovery, Saisho was silent, until finally he spoke.
"You told me to be a shield to the people I fought alongside. I shall keep that vow. But, I will go further. I will go beyond being the shield of the people I fight alongside. I will be a shield to all! I WILL BECOME THE TSUCHIKAGE! I WILL SURPASS YOU AND ALL WHO KNOW OF MY TRUTH!" His voice rang through the village, and those that understood his words knew, a great man was on the rise.
Saisho was intiated into the Granite Guardians soon after, and rose through the ranks. Now, age 25, he leads them.
Personality: If you where to ask Saisho what he thinks of others, he probably wouldn't have much to say. He's not a very opinionated man, normally. Often standing apart of the crowd, he stands out only in combat and power. If asked why he does this, Saisho would say this "The true ninja shows their power only when they need to." And that fits Saisho quite well. As a child, he lived alone for years, and now that he's older, it's clearly difficult for him to interact with others in any way that isn't battle.
His overall intelligence is fairly large, and Saisho is often sought out for wisdom. Mostly wisdom on battle, as his social graces are less than refined. Some reports say that he often finds personal boundaries hard to grasp, and often handles others roughly. He rarely means to hurt others, unless that's his goal, but so often he doesn't grasp how much stronger he is than others. Some would say that he is prone to anger if unable to escape a tense social argument.
But overall, what best defines Saisho is self sacrifice. He would give his life for others without hesitation. He would die to protect those that cannot defend themselves. And maybe, that's enough.

Dreams and aspirations: To one day become the Tsuchikage.
General strengths: Utilizes a great deal of defensive techniques that guard his body from attack. Combat against multiple targets, as well as formidable close range combat.
General weaknesses: Low elemental resistance, combined with a difficulty understanding human emotion. Very few purely offensive techniques. Depending on what properties he takes, he becomes vulnerable.

Combat intel: Saisho often fights among allies, using his abilities to both minimize his enemy's maneuverability, as well as surrounding and attacking from multiple angles. While he often works in tandem with others, that doesn't mean he can't fight solo. In fact, many suggest that without others to defend, he is even more dangerous, often using large scale attacks to strike multiple targets at once. Notably, he tends to fight standing still, rarely changing his positioning unless needed. This isn't so much a threat to him, since he can slink through solid objects by taking on their properties.

Description: This is a technique developed by Saisho for the purpose of torture, but it's more than just that. The technique causes the body of other humans to undergo an advanced form of Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (Stone Man Syndrome.) This causes the body to calcify, turning the human body into a solid mass of bone, killing the target within 10 seconds. Through the use of this technique, contact must be held completely, and the syndrome starts and the hands and feet, and moves inward. Once complete calcification is made, the bones rapidly decay, causing the target to turn to dust.
When this technique is used on inorganic targets, it goes right to the decaying process of the technique causing even steel walls to break apart. This means there is no practical way to defend against Saisho's attacks.
Weakness: Saisho cannot use the Assimilate All Creation Technqiue when using this. Thus, he is completely vulnerable.
