The small shaft of moonlight that shone through the break in the clouds, reflected slightly on the other Fairy's eyes, they were quite a beautiful blue as far as he could tell. He slowly took his hood off during the brief silence, his blue hair also shown in the moonlight. Primarily, he wanted to take his hood off to get a better peripheral view as well as take away the added darkness that it created.

He heard a slight shk noise as the other fairy, whom he identified as a female, sheathed something. Possibly a blade. It wouldn't surprise him if she did have a blade out and ready, after an ordeal such as this, being cautious was natural. However the way she went about the encounter, wasn't totally normal. It was unusual to see others out here in the night who were not hunters. She was definitely not a hunter. He quietly listened to her as she repeated herself. "I don't know.".. "I don't know."

"Do not worry. I will escort you home." He responded, his tone remaining as calm as before. He realized that she wouldn't follow some person who just appeared out of nowhere. Pleasantries were needed. "My apologies. I am Ahmal Ervallen. I am an Ebonknight. I assure you that I will lead you to safety." He said formally, as he stretch a hand out toward her. He did it slowly, so that she wouldn't be frightened by an sudden movements.
"I.. See.." She responded briefly. There was nothing much she could say to that. Her master was quietly nodding at the Dragon's response. "Ah yes, just like the dragons from the stories that I heard as a child." The drow said to no one in particular.

Zenovia could feel a slight irritation well up inside of her when Genrit referred to her as an 'insect'. Bloody proud aren't you. If I was your size, you'd be as dead as the boar. She grit her teeth slightly, but overall showed no sign of being disrespectful, even if the dragon didn't deserve any. "I am Zenovia, Warlord of The Silent Ravens. And I was just here on a personal.. hunting trip." She paused for a moment before continuing, forming a more formal sentence compared to 'We're Kvaren and we've been here awhile.', "We, Kvaren are nomadic, so you may not see settlements, but most likely groups of travelers... And my horse got stolen." She replied, sounded a little exasperated in the final sentence.

"He may not know who we are now, but most likely, what we were before. Tell him that we hail from Vircastoria. Her mentor instructed. Zenovia nodded slightly in response before continuing. "300 years ago, we lived in a city named Vircastoria. But as of the Death of Magic, the city crumbled and the people scattered. We are what remains." She explained. Her mentor had told her stories when she was a child, of the magic city of Vircastoria and how magnificent it was.

It was dark, cold and rather quiet in the forest. Just the way Ahmal preferred it when he was out collecting poisonous plants for his arrow poisons. As of recently he had been running low. As usual, he donned his camouflage gear which mainly consisted of a green, gray and brown mottled cloak, which allowed him to blend in with the plants of the Chartric forests. Unfortunately his wings couldn't be covered by the cloak, and thus he had to make wing slits to stop them from being pushed down by the cloak. He often cursed his misfortune for having a vivid pair of wings, but their translucent nature was it's only saving grace.

He often operated at night, so his eyes were quite attuned to the darkness of the forests, however it was especially dark tonight as the clouds blotted out most of the moon's light, so he could only make out silhouettes unless he was close-by.

As he collected his materials, he heard a shout from nearby. Instinctively he turned toward the source of the sound. He saw two shadows, one was small and had a human-like silhouette, while the other was larger and was obviously a quadruped of some sort. The way it leaped to try catch the flying being, he identified as feline. The other silhouette, he identified as a Fairy, due to it's small stature and outlined wings. They were oddly small for fairy-folk though.

He watched as the silhouettes moved further into the forest. He shoved the plants that he had collected into his satchel before dumping it next to a tree root. He'll come back for it later. He'll remember exactly where it is.

He took flight, travelling among the high branches, keeping an eye on the area around him. It wasn't long until he spotted, what he suspected to be the feline, again. He could see it's dimly glowing eyes as it scratched at a tree. Or rather, climbed the tree. He scanned up the tree, coming across a hollow. He suspected that the Fairy had hidden itself in the hollow.

He drew his bow, nocking an arrow into the string. It was his last poison arrow. He couldn't afford to miss. He narrowed his eyes in concentration before firing, taking a chance on his instinct. With a quiet strum, the arrow flew. He lost sight of the arrow as soon as he shot it, but he could tell that it hit. The feline silhouette stopped mid-stride, falling to the ground. It landed on the ground on all fours as felines tended to, but the poison acted quickly as it's heart pounded, the blood circulating. The poison spreading. It soon made a harsh choking noise before laying on the ground motionless.

Ahmal waited for a few moments before flying down to inspect his prey, seeing a slight glint of his iron arrow protruding from it's side. It was nothing special, it was just a whiskered cat. They were keen hunters, but they were somewhat predictable when chasing prey as they were very unaware of their surroundings when they were focused on a target.

With a few beats of his wings he flew upward, hovering outside of the tree hollow. "Are you alright?" He inquired in a calm, low voice.
HAPPY NEW YEARRRRRRRR
Although she was trying to be serious about all of this, watching the two girls mess around was quite endearing, she could feel a smile spreading on her face. She couldn't help but chuckle as Amelia spoke in her sleep. She raised an eyebrow in slight surprise as the dragoon kissed the smaller girl.

She stifled a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand as the Amelia awoke. "Hey now, don't make me want some of that too." She said in a slight mocking tone, a cheeky smirk appearing on her face. She cleared her throat, regaining her serious atmosphere.

"As I was saying. We'll be heading out to the Northern Mountains tomorrow, so it's best that we all get a proper nights rest. The squires will take care of our belongings and supplies. A few knights will be accompanying us as well." She explained, pausing briefly, "I'll make sure they set up camp a little ways away from us three." She added in a mischievous tone.

And with that, she got up from her chair, "Let's not waste time. We'll spend the night in the Sister's quarters tonight."
Alya instinctively flinched at Rilana's icy gaze, it reminded her of Trix, but.. worse. She wanted to explain everything to the Moon Fey, but she had neither the voice nor the time to do so. She nodded submissively as she accepted the set of reigns, looping it around her saddle-horn as she was instructed.

They moved in silence for awhile before a scream of pain echoed out. Alya covered her ears desperately, because it sounded extremely close by due to her hearing. She let loose a few tears as she realized that it was Lyle's voice. He's dead isn't he.. She thought as she slowly removed her hands from her ears, giving Echo a small pat on the head to comfort herself. Why did things like this always happen when she was around.. The day she met Echo.. The Mauven festival.. And now. She shook her head as she dismissed the thoughts, something she was good at.

As they approached the cave, she heard what the drow had said. It comforted her a little, as did the big cat's glowing sword. She didn't like the dark, especially when she was alone. But she wasn't alone now, was she? It'll be okay.. Rilana is here too. She calmed herself with such thoughts.

The cave was much colder than outside. Alya's grip on her coat tightened as she felt the chill. Echo snuggled under it as well, since he wasn't used to such cold temperatures.

She heard something.. Singing? Someone was singing in the cave? It was quite elegant, soft.. alluring even. She wanted to know who it was, perhaps a new friend? In this cave..? She shook her head again. This wasn't the place to be making friends. She looked around to figure out the direction of the source, but sudden a breeze blew through the cave. It stopped. She was confused.

Suddenly everyone disappeared. The glowing sword, the drow, Rilana. Gone. The three others who were with her couldn't find a way back. The tune started once more. Coming from the left side in the fork that they encountered. The right had a small blue glow.. it was faint, but it moved about. She wondered if anyone else could hear the song. The song that tugged at her curiosity. Her ram refused to detach from the group, so she dismounted it, Echo following close behind in relative confusion. She picked up the pup, putting him in her coat, allowing his head to pop up where the collar was.

She began to walk down the path of the song. She felt nervous, but also.. relaxed? The song was soft and lovely to listen to. She brought out her flute and began to play a equally soft tune that complimented the song. It calmed her nerves, which was good. However she still didn't know where she was going.
She stared at the three headed monster in some disgust as it burst through the trees. It looks disgusting. She thought. She didn't want to get near it... but that wasn't really her choice as Raffey urged his giant beetle toward it. "Wha-" Her response was cut off as they bolted toward the monstrosity. She watched as her companion drew his spear, before giving her a smile.

God dammit. She let go of Raffey as he stabbed the monster, she balanced herself on the running beetle, which, thankfully, ran smoothly. She watched him as he climbed onto the 'thing' before he continued his assault. She quickly looked around, thinking of a way to stop all of this nonsense. She noticed that the monster was quite close behind the slower herd animal, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to make the beetle run any faster.

She sighed as she pulled out her dagger with an icepick grip. She steadied herself as she slowly rose to a standing position on the beetle's back. After a deep breath, she leapt from the insect, landing on the monster's back. As she landed, she realized that she had overshot slightly, almost causing her to tumble off it. Luckily, she stabbed her dagger deep into it's back, anchoring herself. The creature screamed in pain, attempted to swipe at Megumi as it had tried to do with Raffey. She managed to lift herself onto it's back before it reached her. She gave Raffey a cold glare, "Remember that we have a job to do. That does not include playing horse with a monster." She hissed icily.

She looked back to her primary objective. The herd animal. From her crouched position, she sprung forward, and with a gamble, she jumped onto the monster's head. It shook it's head as she made a second jump, causing her to barely land onto the herd animal's back. Again she used her dagger to stab into it's back for anchorage. It wailed, swinging it's body wildly as it tried to throw Megumi off. She barely managed to hold on, her grip like an iron vice around her dagger. The animal soon grew tired of rampaging and focused on running for it's life. Megumi used this opportunity to pull her dagger free, drawing one of her throwing knives in the other hand. The creature bucked in pain again, but the feline had stabbed the throwing knife into it's back as she had with her dagger previously, she a little more steady than before now that she got accustomed to the shaking. She took another risky gamble. Letting go of her throwing knife, she slowly crawled up the animal's back, reaching the back of it's neck. She pressed her body against it, hooking her arm around it's neck, stabbing it in the throat before yanking it back out.

Blood spilled from animal's neck, it screeched in agony, causing more blood to spray out. It started to buck again in panic, this time throwing Megumi off completely. She flew off a few meters to the side, tumbling in the dirt for a second or two. She coughed violently, the wind knocked out of her from the impact. She slowly got up, sore from the ordeal, looking over to see what happened after all that.
