An eerie silence hung around the ruins of an underground civilization. A civilization that once lived many centuries ago. A civilization that now lay in ruins, the buildings eroded from the damp air and constant water flow that had built up during the long years of abandonment. Moss and fungus grew upon the stone and the ancient bodies of metal that had lay there for so long.

Clank... Clank.. The sound of something metallic rang out, echoing around the deep cave, breaking the silence. A human figure rose from the ground, covered in moss and fungus that grew during it's slumber. It became clear that the figure possessed four arms. It wasn't human at all. The clawed hands plucked the growths from it's body, flinging them onto the cold, dark floor. It looked around at the ruins. It was dark, but light seemed to trickle through the cave's entrance, causing a faint glow on the broken city. "Such filth." It, which could be established as a 'he' due to his voice, sighed as it continued to walk around the ruins.

He took note of his surroundings. It was the remains of a failed civilization. Someone had failed to keep it alive. But here he was. Alive. He was the only one who had succeeded at living through the failure. Thus it is only logical to assume that he had such an authority over how things should live. He was living, they were dead. It was all so simple to understand. But how did they fail? And how could he learn from their failure? This would come to him with time and information gathering. But what he did know, was that people must be ruled over to prevent failure.

For now, he needed an assistant. One cannot do grand schemes alone.

As he strolled, he foot kicked something on the path. A loud Clang! rang out as it collided with what appeared to be another metallic being. It seemed quite tall, resembling a female. What was a female? Who knows. It's arms gleaming dimly, revealing blades that replaced what could've been hands. "You will do." He said blankly as he crouched down. He placed a finger on the metal body's chest area, a spark rushed from his finger, zapping it like static. Somehow he knew of this. How to activate another being like himself. The magic spark was immediately absorbed into the chest of the metal body. He could feel it's soul core reactivating. He stood back, watching the body, waiting for movement.
The rest of the journey toward Frigmount was a lot more pleasant compared to the beginning of their travels. Or rather, ridiculously more pleasant. The air was clear and crisp, the sky was very calm as well. She didn't even feel cold anymore. Some of the others who did not have the blessing casually commented on the mark that was on her throat, talking about how it looked so real. The fascination died down after a couple of days, which was nice. During the days of riding, the half elf had spent the majority of her time trying to replicate the Note of Ice with her flute, only to mess it up constantly, much to the annoyance of the travelers near her. After sufficiently annoying everyone around her, she decided to play a soft tune to calm the group, which seemed to work better on those in her immediate range, but it was effective nonetheless.

Meanwhile, Echo enjoyed jumping around in the somewhat deep snow, his fur covered in white specks of the soft ice. Echo enjoyed the attention of the new additions to their travelling group, who often gave him bits of their food during meals, much to his Mother's amusement.

As they approached the city of ice and stone, Alya could feel the shield that encased it. It was weak, but still there. She could feel it's energy slowly fading away. She had felt this before... It was just like in her vision. She glanced around at her surroundings, realizing that this was different from her vision. She was somehow on edge about it though.

Alya was a little confused as she listened in on Rilana's conversation with someone, she assumed it was one of Rilana's friends, but other than that she didn't really think of anything else. She wasn't sure what to make of the 'madness' that was spreading throughout the city, but she knew that it wasn't good.. But there was nothing she could do to help at all. It was becoming a very normal feeling for Alya. Helplessness and inadequacy. Somehow sensing his mother's melancholic state, Echo licked her hand, which rested at her side. Her gaze moved over to her 'pup', giving him a soft pat and a small smile. I'll be alright.. She thought as if she was trying to mindspeak to her furred companion.

Rilana's announcement wasn't really a surprise, but it made Alya's heart sink a little more, but she was determined to try her best to help her Rilana as much as she could, thus she joined the group that had chosen to help.

As they approached the home of the Ice Giants, all the small half elf could do was stare at the massive size of the giants. She couldn't help but feel scared of such massive...things. People? Maybe? They were very intimidating, but they way they spoke was quite comical to her. Good thing she couldn't speak, or else she would've let out a small giggle.

Echo was also quite on edge, but he was quickly instructed by his mother to stay docile. Alya knew that Echo would continue to stay on edge, but hopefully he didn't try to attack such hulking bodies. She didn't want to lose another companion. Especially one she cared about the most.
Megumi, or rather, 'Raahn' giggled and smiled flirtatiously back at Sammeh, "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind~" She replied, her voice smooth and seductive. She could feel a curious gaze on her back, most likely Sammeh checking her out. The half cat would usually feel quite flattered, or even turned on by such a gaze, but right now she felt nervous. She was hiding her tail behind her, in her pantleg.

She heard a hiss of steel and a foot step come from behind her. Shit! She turned around sharply, moving to the side slightly with her hands up in the air in a rather a frightened, the blade swinging in front of her viciously. "Woah! W-what are you doing?!" She cried in a fearful tone. She could have drawn her blade in response, but that would only aggravate the woman even more. It was best to stay oblivious until there were really no options left.
