The Academy of Solomon

Alex opened his eyes and stretched. He had been asleep for a few minutes, or so he thought. Alex stood up and checked his weapon on his back. It was still chained and clothed on his back. Must have been more tired than I thought. Alex thought before he walked towards the academy and its dorms. After finding his room number he proceeded towards it and unlocked the door.

“Not a bad shindig if you ask me,” Alex said to himself as he examined his room. He was the only one inside the room but he figured who ever his roommate was they’d be there shortly. The weapon on his back twitched to which Alex sighed, “Does it matter if it’s another demon hunter? I’m sure they wouldn’t put two demon hunters in the same dorm. Besides, it might be fun to learn about the other hunter classes.” With that he took his weapon from his back and placed it onto his bed and began to unpack.

The Academy of Solomon

Alex walked up the steps towards the academy, but stopped and turned around like he heard someone call out to him. He sighed before he continued up the stairs. His Soul Edge was chained and wrapped in cloth on his back and occasionally it twitched. Alex stopped at the stop of the stairs and looked at the academy that looked more like a mansion rather than a school.

“Time to prove to my peers I’m ready to become a member of the Holy cross. I promise I’ll make all of you proud,” Alex said before he took his first steps into the academy. His first trial was already over. His journey started at the doors of the Holy Crosses church where he was given a sort of going away party, but it was more a pray session. From there he trenched all the way to the academy on foot. Venturing through dark forests and braving the elements to finally make it here.

“I don’t need you laughing,” Alex said as though he was talking to someone, but rather when he said this his Weapon on his back twitched. Alex shook his head and continued into the courtyard. Just remember, they’re only voices of evil that will stray you down the path of evil. You’re training has help you block out their noise. Alex thought.

Alex walked over to a large tree and sat under it, still keeping his weapon chained and wrapped in cloth on his back. Each link of the chain looked like a cross and the cloth looked like it had a pattern on it. Should someone unravel the cloth they would see a large silver cross with wings and scriptures written all around the cross in a circular motion. Alex sat down and laid against the tree to rest for a while.

Herring that Rebecca’s ability wasn’t a common one made Sotoe think of all the possibilities here powers where. However, he figured not to press the issue and walked into the auditorium. He was surprised the speech the headmaster gave was short and to the point. He figured it would be long and drawn out. Sotoe was happy he didn’t have to sit there for hours because he couldn’t sit for long periods of time since he always thought about parkour and free running. When he was told to stand in line for a system scan he found himself in the back of a very long line, but at least it was moving forward at a reasonable pace.

“Please don’t book me with some person who’s a downer. I don’t want to be with someone who can’t have fun,” Sotoe prayed.

Sotoe picked up his guitar and looked back to Rebecca who was talking to someone else. The guy’s response to Rebecca asking him if he needed assistance made Sotoe’s mouth drop. Never in a millions years would Sotoe even consider saying that to a complete stranger. Of course Sotoe thought this kid would get a bullet to the head since she flashed her gun at Sotoe himself and all he did was give her a formal greeting. However, she surprised him by talking calmly and then telling Sotoe they’d miss the assembly.

“Y-yeah, hold on,” Sotoe said as he walked past the young man who had given Rebecca the rather unique greeting. He tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Come on man. We’ll be late if you just stand there looking dumb founded.” With that he raced after Rebecca. Never in a million years would he think he’d attended such a crazy place. Guess I’m not as weird as I thought. Sotoe thought.

“So let me guess: by the way you act and present yourself, you’re a level 5 or 4 Esper. Right?” Sotoe asked as he caught up to Rebecca. He smiled as he added, “I’m probably wrong though. I’m not the best at guessing people. Look at me; people think my power it to control gravity or something. Not sure where they get that idea. My power is to change the composition of an object. It’s limited and not that powerful which is why I’m only level 3, but hell if I care. It’s fun to watch people try and figure out how a paper playing card feels like metal.” Sotoe smiled as he remembered the first time he did it and drove his mother crazy.

Pokemon ~ Gijinka roleplay tale

“No, everything went smoothly,” Alex said before he reached into his pocket and took out the two small cubes. He set each one on the ground and pushed the green button on top of them. The two cubes grew and reviled the two creatures inside. The Vulpix Gijinka looked at both Alex and Jaiden before it snarled and plumes of flames came out its mouth. The Dratini Gijinka looked at both and cried for help again. Alex walked over to the cage with the Vulpix and knocked on the cage and said, “I already told you your flames won’t do a thing to the cage.” He sighed before he turned to Jaiden.

“Sorry there’s not more like last time. Seems the cages attract regular Pokémon. Since I know you’d rather have the hybrids I’d just let the ordinary Pokémon go,” Alex said. That reminded him and he added, “Also, could you tell your boys in the lab to not yell at me when I call these things hybrids. I’m getting sick of calling them and getting an ear full about crap I’m not getting paid to care about.” Alex walked over to the Dratini Gijinka which cried even louder to be let out.

“Breakers your little heart, “Alex laughed before he added, “If I had one, now let’s talk business. I know I told the boys I had a Vulpix, but found this little thing on my way here. What you think?” Alex smiled as he stood up. He figured he’d let Jaiden know about the person he met in the forest.

“Also, I did run into a brat and her little kitty cat earlier. Not sure if she’s looking for the traps, but I’d just thought I’d let you know. Maybe tell the guys in the lab to make the cages invisible when they capture the hybrids. This way I can use a device to find the cages and not risk some idiot letting out money, I mean the creatures,” Alex said.

Soul Taker: Absorb and trap malevolent, demonic, and evil souls with in. (Only able to trap five souls at this point)
Soul Crush: Use the Trapped souls as kinetic energy to be used as bombs. (Can only use once per day)
Soul Refuge: Summon and Control the trapped souls within Soul Edge (Has not master and therefore can not use)

Soul Eater down falls:
Soul Taker: if more soul are taken that able to handle. user will be corrupted and possessed by every soul inside Soul Edge.
Soul Crush: uses a massive amount of energy from user and if energy is lacking. Soul bombs will actually attack the user instead of enemy.
Soul Refuge: once used, the user has a risk of being taken over by one or all of the souls to be changed into a massive creature of evil.
Bio:
Alex was born into a clan of Demon hunters known as the Holy Cross. A group of priest and priestesses whose sole purpose is to hunt down demons and any other malevolent or evil creature. From a young age Alex was trained in their way of fighting to prep him for the trials ahead. Alex’s road was both physically and mentally straining, but it was all so he could wield the Holy Cross’s greatest weapons known as Soul Edge. Weapons filled with divine power to absorb and trap malevolent, demonic, and evil souls with in and allow the wielder to use them in battle. .

Every member of the Holy Cross must go through rigorous and dangerous trials to even be able to wield such a powerful, yet dangerous power. Should a member not be ready to wield a Soul Edge, their very soul will be taken over by the many malevolent, demonic, and evil souls trapped within. Alex has already proven himself to be able to wield one of the Soul Edges, but he is unable to wield it at its full potential. For that, he must travel to the Academy of Solomon like many of his mentors have done. Once he is able to fully control his Soul Edge, Alex will be a full fledge member of the Holy Cross. However, should he be taken over by the many souls he has inside his Soul Edge. He’ll become nothing more than another Demon the Holy Cross will have to deal with.
