Now that everyone was fed, they headed out to the base. Ralph flew overhead at first, but once they got close to the city, he flew closer to the ground, careful not to attract any attention. Once they arrived at the base, they split up. Tony, Deravan, and Ralph stayed by the front entrance, while Tony's new recruits went around to the back.
There were a bunch of guards, all of which were wearing lab coats similar to Michelle's. They seemed to be pretty tired, which should make it easier to sneak past them. Deravan suggested that he and Tony use their earth magic to dig a tunnel under the base and attack them by surprise.
"Sounds like a good plan to me." Ralph said. "It should work, as long as our tunnel doesn't cave in."
The chances of the tunnel caving in were pretty low. Plus, it would be a lot easier than sneaking in on foot. Unless Tony had a better plan, this seemed like the best option.
After the elder stopped ranting, he seemed to completely forget what just happened. Moments later, Terra returned, carrying Blaze's egg and some sort of gem, which Josh assumed was the cure. When Terra placed the gem and the egg beside each other, they both emitted a bright light, which Daniel had to shield his eyes from. It wasn't too bright, but Josh just assumed that Daniel was more sensitive to light due to him being a Dark-type, or something like that.

When the light faded, Blaze was standing there, now permanently hatched. Everyone seemed glad that he was finally cured.
"Well, team, I think we should call this one a win," Anthony said.
"I'm just glad it's finally over." Josh said. He was about to teleport back to the guild, but then noticed that Anthony had left the city on foot.

Matt and Josh followed him out of the city to see him and Static talking to Darkrai. They seemed to be discussing the location of the first Orb of Balance.
"I almost forgot about those." Josh said.
Hopefully Darkrai knew the location of at least one of them. They didn't seem like the kind of thing that would be easy to find, so they would probably be searching for a long time if he didn't.
I sure hope this isn't dying.
What level do you think Josh would be at this point?
Apparently, Darkrai had just been passing through the town, and ended up getting captured. They threw him in the basement, and without the elders dreams to give him energy, he probably would've died down there. The moment the elder saw Darkrai outside of the basement, he began ranting about how "dark types are evil" and that "they use illusions to trick people". Darkrai tried to explain himself, but the elder just considered it another act of trickery. Knowing that the elder couldn't be reasoned with, Darkrai just flew away.

The elder continued his rant, even after Darkrai left. It was clearly beginning to get on Daniel's nerves at this point. If Anthony hadn't held him back, he probably would've attacked.
"Just ignore him, Daniel." Josh said, taking his badge out of his bag. "Get your badges ready, guys. As soon as Terra comes back with that cure, we're leaving."
"I say we go tonight." Ralph said, quietly enough so only Tony and Deravan could hear him. "If all this she's saying about the telepathy is true, then they could attack at any moment. It would be best if we hit them first."
Tony went out of the cave, and came back with a bunch of twigs, which he used to build a campfire. Ralph sent a few small embers at it to light it. This was the first time he'd used his powers outside of combat, strangely enough. He never really had a reason to use them for anything else until now.

"So, what's the plan for attacking their base?" Ralph asked. "There's no telling how many people are there, ready to defend it. Plus, if one of them has telepathy like her, they might call reinforcements from another base. We need to be ready for that sort of thing."
He began to think. If they wanted to get everyone out of there alive, they would have to do this quickly, before the reinforcements got there. It wouldn't be easy, but Ralph had a feeling they'd be able to do it.
The people outside had already broken into the garage. There were only a few cars left, but thankfully one of them seemed like it could get them all out of here in one piece.
"Guys, get out of the way!"
Jade looked over to see a boulder rolling at them. If Roger hadn't gotten in front of everybody, it probably would have hit her. It seemed to just bounce off of him, and it wasn't until now that Jade noticed the boulder had arms and legs. That walking boulder must have been pretty confident if he thought he could take on all of them. He was outnumbered 10 to 1.

Roger went into a rage and single-handedly beat the crap out of their attacker. It seemed like he was pretty tired afterwards, which was understandable. He probably used up most of his energy there.
"Let's get out of here before more thugs show up." Jade said. She got into the truck, and waited for everyone else to do the same.
The light revealed Darkrai, who seemed to be starving to death. Almost immediately, he ran out of the basement, with Anthony pursuing him. Matt and Josh followed close behind them, and saw that Darkrai had headed straight for a nearby restaurant.
"Well, that was a strange turn of events." Matt said as Terra and Daniel came up behind them. After they'd both explained what happened in their nightmare, it was clear what actually happened.
"Well, I guess this mission's over, then." Josh said. "Let's get that cure for Blaze, then get out of here."
These past four days had felt like 7 months. Josh was glad that it was finally over.
Hey Lugia, do you think you could post for Anthony?
Took a lot longer than I expected, but I got a post up.
