Once everyone had finished eating and paid, they all headed back out into the cold. They headed north, to the village that the Pignite told them about. They had to cut through a forest to get there, though, and said forest was pitch black, even though it was the middle of the day. To make matters even worse, a snowstorm brewed as soon as they entered. As if the darkness didn't impair Josh's vision enough, now he couldn't even see his own teammates.

He tried as hard as he could to find any trace of his teammates, but there was no sign of them at this point.
"Anthony! Matt! Daniel! Spruce!" He called out, hoping to get an answer. "Anybody out there?"
Unfortunately, his calls were met with nothing but silence. He was lost in the middle of a forest, and would probably freeze to death if he didn't find someone soon. He kept calling out the names of the other group members, hoping that someone would hear him.
Before Trey had a chance to fall asleep, Deravan asked him about the dagger he found. He took it out, and began to examine it.
"I prefer to fight from a distance, so I suppose this will be more useful to you than it is to me." He said, handing the dagger to Deravan. "It would be nice to have a backup plan if an enemy gets too close, though. You probably won't be using your old dagger now that you've got a better one, so do you think I could use it?"
So, who are we waiting for now? Just @Kabling?
Thankfully, the mayor heard Trey, and got the townsfolk to quit down.
"That honestly was easier than I expected." He said. "Anyway, we've got a long journey ahead of us tomorrow. Don't hesitate to wake me up if you need someone to watch the camp."
Trey went into one of the tents they'd just set up. He tucked his head under his wing and began to drift off to sleep. After a rather eventful day, it felt good to finally get some rest.

Anthony mentioned that Josh might not have to use the bucket, now that he's evolved.
"I'm not sure." Josh said. "I mean, I'm a lot heavier now. It'll probably be more difficult to levitate, if anything."
"That shouldn't be a problem." Matt said. "Your psychic powers were probably enhanced upon evolution. Besides, it can't hurt to try."
Matt was right. It was worth a shot. He began to focus, trying to use his psychic powers to lift himself out of the bucket. It was surprisingly easy, considering how much trouble he had with it before.

At this point, the Pignite came out of the kitchen with their pastries. Josh began to eat one, and he did so at a normal pace, unlike Anthony, who inhaled his in one bite. He noticed that the others seemed to be saving some of their pastries for later. Josh decided to do the same, just in case this mission ended up taking longer than they expected.

Josh couldn't help but overhear the conversation between Spruce and the Pignite. Anthony had apparently heard it as well, since he repeated what they said to Josh.
"I heard them, Anthony." He said. "I just hope that Keira got there after it froze up, and if she did end up getting frozen, I hope there's a way to reverse it."

Josh shuddered a little when he heard Anthony mention Zane.
"I...prefer not to think about that." he said. "That was easily the most terrifying experience I've had since I came to Allure."
He knew Zane was still hunting him down at this very moment. He would find them eventually, and he could only hope that he'll be prepared when it happens. Just in case, though...
"Just so you know, Anthony, to get to the reef, you need to go to the Treasure Town beach and head south. If I end up getting captured, I'm counting on you to get me out of there."
Most of the civilians were getting drunk and singing, which posed a problem for the group. It could easily attract some unwanted attention, which, considering their limited defenses, wouldn't end well. Unfortunately, shutting them up wouldn't be an easy task. It had to be done, though, otherwise they might not make it to the stronghold in one piece.

It was starting to get dark, and the mayor ordered them to set up the tents. As much as he didn't want to take orders from the mayor, Trey obliged, since most of the townsfolk were too drunk to do it themselves.
"I hope you all realize how much danger we're in." He said to the rest of the group as they set up the tents. "Just listen to them. Anyone who comes anywhere near our camp will know exactly where we are. As soon as we're done with this, I'm going to try to quiet them down. I probably won't be able to do it alone, though."

As they got closer to the mountain, it started to get colder and colder. Josh had grown up in a tropical climate, so he wasn't used to the cold at all. He noticed that the others weren't doing too well, either, with the only exceptions being Matt and Kamina. Matt told him once that the gel surrounding him protects him from things like weather, and he had seen Kamina use Fire-type moves before, so that would explain their resistance to the cold.

The group eventually arrived at a small building. The smell of freshly-baked bread suggested that it was a bakery of some sort, but running a business out here would be nearly impossible, due to how little customers they'd get. Because of this, Josh just assumed that it was just an ordinary house, and it only smelled like that because they were making bread or something.

He was wrong. They were immediately greeted by a Pignite, who seemed excited to finally have customers. They all sat down, with Matt setting Josh's bucket down beside Anthony, who seemed pretty annoyed about Spruce's treatment of Daniel.
"We won't have to deal with him for much longer." Josh said. "As soon as we're done here, we'll be back at the guild and we won't have to go on any more missions with him."

The Pignite began going around, taking their orders. Josh ordered a few plain pastries, since that was the cheapest thing on the menu. When the Pignite got to Matt, he ordered the same thing.
"So, do you know where exactly we're going, Anthony?" Josh asked. "We've gone pretty far. I think we might be getting close."
As they all began to leave the village, Trey flew overhead, keeping an eye out for any signs of danger. There was an overturned wagon on the road, but since the oxen that were pulling it had been reduced to skeletons, it had probably been there for a while. Whatever got this wagon was probably gone by now. There didn't seem to be anything that posed a threat, but he still watched the path ahead of them carefully. It was peaceful now, but that could change at any moment.
Alright, I'll edit it a little bit. I'll throw Josh's evolution in there, too.

Just as they were about to leave, Anthony was surrounded in a bright light. When it subsided, Anthony was much taller, and had grown arms. He still had to catch a ride on Kamina's head, though, since he was still rather slow. Just as they were about to keep going, Josh was cloaked in a light as well. He was now much bigger, and could also probably move around on his own.

The group then continued going north, and thankfully, they weren't interrupted at all this time. In the distance, there was a tall mountain capped with snow. They'd been traveling for a while now, so there was a pretty good chance that this was their destination.
"Is that where we're headed, Anthony?" Josh asked. He really hoped that Anthony had some idea of where they were supposed to go. Otherwise, it would take forever to find Keira.
