Sorry for the delay! I'll have a post up soon!

Now this was quite the sight. Mercedes watched her brother scamper off from the car, hurrying to the group of skulls as they called for him. Rolling her eyes and shaking her head, she parked her little yellow bug only a few spaces away from the crowd. ‘If only he listened to me like that.' She thought, her eyes sitting on her brother as she watched him interact with his masked leader, “Our friend Reiko has been injured. Fix her.” With a curt nod and a firm, “Yes, sir!” She watched her brother kneel over the injured woman and begin to care for her. It was at that command that she received an all too familiar look, he needed her power. Rolling her eyes again and breathing out an exasperated sigh she took a final puff from her cigarette and kicking her door open. Snuffing out the butt with the bottom of her sneakers along the pavement, she stepped out of the car and motioned her brother over with flick of her wrist.

Mercedes only reason for driving her brother here was to find food on the way home, so it wasn't in her best interest to stop and hang out at one of her many jobs. Especially since she was probably going to have to open in the morning. Technically it was her day off from the bar—which she had ironically spent working—And while it wasn’t her first option for a nice place to eat at, it would have to do for now seeing as her assistance was needed here. It wasn’t like East Rail had many diners anyway, and with it being the closet place besides a McDonalds to home, Mercedes quickly settled on the idea of a beer and a burger for dinner.

Stuffing her keys into her back pocket, she caught sight of another gawking at her within the group of skulls. With a quiet breath of laughter she turned her eyes down making sure the other didn’t catch her glance. As he began to stride towards her, Mercedes came to a halt beside the front of car watching him walk proudly towards her. The Skulls made up a majority of her business, at the Jolly Roger and the India Club, and the tall, handsome blond before her was no stranger. Damian was his name, and even if she hadn’t met him at the bar or the club, Tony never stopped talking about him. She had lived in this city all her life, and even though they had never had proper conversations, she had seen him around the area for years. Either way, it didn’t surprise her that he didn’t recognize her. Make-up, and skimpy clothing did do wonders after all.

The left side of her lips curved into a smirk as she stared him down, eyeing him and sizing him up as he began to speak. “Hello there.” He said while leaning against the hood of her car, “Do I know you from somewhere? You look…" The amused smirk never left face as she watched the Skull, but before he could finish his sentence the sound of gunfire came from down the street. Both alert to this, Mercedes looked to her brother, their glances meeting just as two motorcycles came speeding down the street.

Mercedes tensed up, crouching slightly beside her car and covering her head instinctively. Shooting a worried look towards her brothers direction as she saw Damian step before her out of the corner of her eye, “Antonio!” Her brothers safety was top priority, but as she saw him uninjured and hovering above another woman to shelter her from the gunfire she felt her tension settle.

The chaotic scene before the bar only seemed to intensify as another woman came flying off from one of the motorcycles, her bike crashing and her body tumbling on a blanket of yellow particles. Covering her mouth and gasping in fear for the other woman, she hesitated to move forward once she heard the other call out for the Skull, “Damian...” Her gaze then fell along the blond, watching him carefully as he went to the other woman’s aid and helped her from the ground. “Do we have any other healers?

Without a second thought Mercedes came to Damian's side, her voice calm and confident as she placed a soothing hand along the other woman shoulder. “Right here, I'll take care of her—Tony!" She called out to her brother catching his attention almost immediately, "Get her inside and out of the rain!” Motioning to the older woman laying before him, her brother hesitated to move once his sister started shouting out commands.

Now, Tony!”

At her snarl the boy fell into action, turning his gaze to others Skulls, “Help me get Reiko inside. Carefully!” Returning her attention to the two beside her, Mercedes motioned for them to follow as she headed towards the bars entrance, “Come on, lets get inside."
Good to have you back Maxx! I've really been looking forward to this roleplay starting up again.

With that note, I should have a post up soon!
Us next, us next, us next—

The Mori’s words whispered continuously behind her, ever softly giving a nudge to her arm every few seconds. Amongst the others, Evangeline Thorne wasn’t all that thrilled to share her stories, much less introduce herself to a bunch of strangers. She shook visibly in fear, her hands clasped tightly together in her lap as her gaze sat fixed on the ground beneath her feet. She didn’t want to be here, not in this room, not around this people, not on this plane of existence. But it didn’t look like she was going to have the option to opt out of this ordeal.

One by one she watched the others introduce themselves. She listened to their stories, and took note of their Mori’s, while her own continued to whisper ‘Us next’ in a never-ending loop. Trying to avoid publicly speaking she watched their numbers dwindle, and with only her left, Evangeline knew she had no choice but to speak. Once Jimmy returned to his seat it had become a struggle to get her legs to move as fear and anxiety kept her locked to the seat. But upon noticing this, the replica behind her simply giggled. Earning a harsh shove from her Mori behind her, Evangeline was thrusted off her seat, forced to stumble clumsily to the center floor as The Doppelgänger skipped after her. Taking its proper place behind its master, its hands sitting gently along her shoulders as if to give her encouragement.

Refusing to make eye contact with the others in the room, the small young woman struggled to spit out her words, stuttering with effort as she tried to fight past her anxiety, “My name.. is-“

Evangeline!” The Mori spoke in her stead, its voice unsettlingly the same as its Masters. Its words were joyous and excited despite it still lingering and hiding behind Eva’s form. The third eye siting atop the Doppelgängers head darted back and forth amongst the others, staring hard at the other Mori’s and their masters. “Speak! Speak! Speak!” It continued, ushering Evangeline in an excited whisper. Oh, how she wanted to sit back down. How she wanted to leave right now. “I died,” She finally said, her hands twisting anxiously into the bottom of her dark sweatshirt, ”I died by.. by—“

Suicide!” The Mori called out again. Stepping out enough for the others too see, The Doppelgänger grabbed the dangling rope sitting along its chest and held it above its head. Mocking its master, odd, almost comical chocking noises escaped from its grinning lips as the noose dug into its throat. Dark eyes were narrowed with entertainment, while Evangeline continued to stare uncomfortably at the floor. Given another rough nudge by the Mori the sinister voiced continued in a quiet tone, “Introduce me.”

Swallowing hard and giving the replica a hesitant nod, Evangeline turned to the others, her eyes still focused on the ground. Clearing her throat the blonde spoke in a tone barely above a whisper, “This is my Mori.” She threw a quick glance at the creature as it suddenly hid behind Eva’s shoulder almost shyly.

Leaning its weight back and forth along its feet, it squirmed and fidgeted in excitement before finally speaking up, “Call me, D e e.~” Emphasizing its name, a large, menacing smile stretched across the Mori’s face. Sharp, edged teeth sat within its mouth, clenched tightly together almost as if it were baring its teeth, or clenching its jaw. After their introduction Evangeline continued to stand in the center awkwardly. Unsure of what to say and beginning to shake once again, a hard shove to her back sent her stumbling back to her seat once, the same grin still stretched across the Doppelgängers face as it skipped behind its Master.

Sitting down quietly, her hands returned to her lap as she resumed to making herself seem as small as possible, her eyes ever so slightly drifting to the others around the room now. The whole situation presented so many questions, and while the average person would have been thankful for a second chance at life—or at least that’s what she assumed they would do—Evangeline wasn’t all too thrilled about any of this.
I'm here as well! Late reply, I know, but I've been a bit busy getting rid of the last of my family members these past few days. Holidays are always one hell of a time.

But I'm so looking forward to roleplaying with all of you, and seeing how this story and our characters develop! Can't wait to get things rolling. n u n
Reaching the highest branch that was strong enough to support her weight, the young Northerner had scaled the oddly bent tree after meeting the Corians words with her own bit of sarcasm. He was all talk, and no action so far, and Arydnia had no patience for those kind of people. So as always, she moved on impulse and frustration, climbing the tree simply because the other man did not. While she didn't achieve much from this feat, she did finally gather some distance from the group to be amongst her own thoughts. Slowly standing along along the branch, a firm grip on the trunk kept her balanced as her eyes casted over the scenery before her. From her perch at the top of the tree, Arryn could see for miles. It was quite the sight but with nothing but the white trees, and the barren wastes going on for as far as the eye could see, she could only sigh in frustration. While she wasn't expecting to notice a village, or directional marker in such a hellish looking place any kind of path, or sign of life would have been extremely helpful.

Before she could begin her descent down to tell the others of what little she had found, a dull sound noise came from the flickering crystal. It pounded heavily in her ears and within the area, steadily, and rhythmically, almost as if it was a heartbeat. As the beat quickened her eyes fell to the other below her as they seemed to react to the odd noise. Any attempt she made to call out to them had been for nothing for any noise had been drowned out by the loud pounding. But just as soon as it started, it was quick to end.

Almost instantly the scenery above her began to change. Green eyes grew wide as the sky above grew dark and the moon above bled, staining the large white surface like blood as a red haze drifted over her and the rest of the unlikely group. The wood moaned and shook beneath her feet, forcing her to latch onto the trunk as it suddenly began to bend and reach for the soil. Curving at such an odd angle the drop was only a few feet, so as it drew closer to the ground below, Arryn leapt from the tree.

Landing on her feet and falling into a crouch with a soft grunt, she acted almost instinctively as the sharp tips of the branches surged into the ground around her. Doing her best to evade any roots as they staked into the ground, she stayed low and crawled desperately towards the edge of the cage of branches. 'I'm not going to make it, I'm not going make it, I'm not going to make it-' Blood pounding in her ears and fear driving her to rush recklessly ahead, she gripped the hilt of her sword and with a hard swing that sliced clean through the wood, she bursted through the wooden branches and out into the open area.

Tumbling to the ground and panting heavily once she escaped, blood pounded in her ears and adrenaline shot through her veins. Inches from death, and escaping with only a few cuts and bruises, the Northerner knew she had no time to count her blessings as she drew to her feet. This fight was only beginning, and as she turned to ready herself for another attack the girl found herself frozen in place. Pulling itself from the black soil, its body took shape, looming high above her as the resounding heart beat rumbled deafeningly in her ears. It was a Treant. “By the gods…” For eighteen years she had been trained and prepared to enter the Labyrinth. To fight and eliminate whoever, and whatever came before her in this hell, but this--this was out of her league, for sure. “I APOLOGIZE FOR SUGGESTING YOU CLIMB THE TREE!” Cenric's sudden yell forced Arryn out of her awestruck state, causing her fall into a run as to gather some distance between her and the beast.

"Good god," Came Jean as she finally made it to their side, “I don’t want to come off as rude, but I did you guys." It took all of her control not to drive her sword through the Scholars chest, his words continuing to belittle her even as she stood beside him. "Something smart always needs to come out of that mouth of yours, doesn't it Professor?" Raising her sword in a defensive stance, the edge of her blade was kept pointed at the Treants location, "Keep talking and maybe this beast won't be the only threat to your life tonight." She didn't mean this of course, but having no filter, and tensions rising thanks to this new threat, Arryn wasn't about to tolerate the mans unnecessary comments.

Sure. It’s my job to talk about smart things. It’s also my job to keep you alive, so please keep that in mind as well.” Biting her tongue and keeping her eyes locked ahead, she reminded herself that there were bigger things to worry about then arguing with the scholar. Besides, she knew he was right. Surrounded by Mages, and Warriors, Arryn was undoubtedly the weakest of the group, and she understood this. She was going to need these people more then they were going to need her, and that unfortunately meant Jean as well.
Character posted! However looking over the others now, it seems Eva and Monica share a few things in common, but after looking over their CS's I can comfortably say our characters are extremely different—aside from them both committing suicide and slight similarities in their Mori's representation. Of course, if my CS still presents problems and you'd rather me change it, then I'd be happy to.

Throwing my interest in as well!
Same. I'm really sorry for the wait, thanksgiving is around the corner and I've been bum rushed by family and personal things I need to take care of. I'll have a post up later on today, sorry again guys.
