Personality: On the outside, she adopts a persona of basically a ‘golden child’. She is extremely talented in terms of academics and the arts, and she also has quite a warm and friendly demeanour. She is usually polite, and courteous; and is usually seen smiling while doing something or other. However, she is actually suffering under a heavy case of ennui (look it up if you don’t know what that is) almost to the point of nihilism. The reason being that she is in a position in which she could have whatever she wanted, and she has gotten pretty much everything she used to want. Life has lost much of its value for her, and she no longer sees the point in it. History: Akiko was born into a wealthy family that owns a large number of businesses, but they do not currently have anything in the area that they live. They had moved to the area 5 years previously to establish something in the area, but not long afterwards Akiko’s father committed suicide. Whatever they happened to be working on at the time was stopped, and Akiko’s mother and her father’s business partners took over the company. However, unexpectedly, Akiko appeared strangely unaffected by her father’s death. She was more melancholy for a period of time afterwards, but that was all. Her mother thought it was strange, but didn’t press the matter any further. Akiko’s father committed suicide with a golden revolver passed down through the family for an unknown reason.
