You could always just lump it together and call it something weird, or make something up to tie them together
For example, I have lasers, boosted reflexes, sword creation, forcefields (sort of), adaptability and bunch of other stuff but I put them into robot arms to make them one power technically

It's arc 3, arc 2 is finishing up right now so any new characters wouldn't make much sense
He thought it would've been fun to attack Aperture and that's pretty much the only reason he joined
Illegal Stuff Pty. Ltd. was made solely because it would've been funny to have a legitimate mercenary group called Illegal Stuff Pty. Ltd.
Regardless, he's only sort of a decent guy

To what degree can they replicate themselves?
If you can make a huge number of copies, then it actually limits your choices more in a way than if you could only do up to 3 or 4 or something like that.
