During the hundred years war both England and France hired mercenaries in place of peasant levies due to their increased knowledge of fighting and to decrease the populace's war exhaustion and allow their conquests to continue unhindered.

We will play as one of these free companies hired by France in order to beat back the English.

There will be no magic, no a-historical technology, and no knights in our ranks. We will play the stories of those born into poverty seeking our place under the sun. Perhaps your character seeks a noble title, gold, glory, or a greater revolution.

Additionally, I seek a good degree of historical accuracy regarding arms/armour and fighting. If you solo challenge a knight, expect to lose. I'll post some resources when I get the OOC up.
Yeah I posted second to last. I was waiting as well.
Of course there's always the option of sacrifice, and as a white mage my character understands it well.

Why solve a puzzle when you can destroy a friend?

P.S. if your hearing background noise I'm guessing it's from the construction outside, sorry.
Durandal agreed with the dark mage on this one. After the demon's slamming of the button, the walls began to close in with blades of death. After a moment of panic, the hero thought of an idea that would either guarantee their survival or at least make sure the idiot died first.

"I don't think there's a need to panic. Quite simply, our demon friend here seems to have rather thick skin. We put him up against the blades, maybe let him chew on them for a snack, while me and any other healers keep him alive. Eventually the wall around the blade will crack from trying to go forward and we can get onto the other side."

The white mage wasn't sure himself if this was a good idea or if he was just trying to delay his death. But the others seemed to be panicking, and it is always the job of the healer to remain calm while blood sprays everywhere.

Gorun nods, deciding on a new quest. "If you seek company, perhaps I can tag along. There may be wisdom among necromancers I haven't seen yet."
Will post tonight, was gone for the weekend!

EDIT: What is the damage resist on Guilty Spark? I think I figured it out.

Also @DJ I'm assuming your healing doesn't operate through white magic, correct?

@Claw2k11 Gorun nods, "I am sorry, but I don't think I'm interested in this sword. However, I promise I will not bother you here and seek out another blade." Gorun looked for approval from the death knight.

He simply thought it would be immoral to take the blade. Besides, his sword of Mythril was already pretty strong and well enchanted, and while it might not be a match for this blade it had served him well.

@Claw2k11 Gorun looked at the Corruptor blade.

In a way, the dwarvern knight knew that the death knight's master was correct. This blade was simply insanely powerful, and there was no way that any kingdom could wield it responsibly across the span of several dynasties.

Additionally, the opportunity to learn what enchantment was on the blade was an exciting one. First and foremost, Gorun was an enchanter.

"Could you tell me exactly what the blade does? I think your master has a fair point, I can't imagine any of the king's current sons wielding Darkstalker properly..."
