It's understandable, I've posted after exams before it's rarely ever pretty.

It's less exams and more... course work that should have an entire course dedicated to it, instead of just being a random unit fitted in amongst far too many classes.
College work must be taking more of a toll than I thought, if I can't see posts obviously responding to mine. Sorry about that.
Lost in her depressing, self-deprecating thoughts, Shion was taking no notice of her surroundings. As such, she didn't attempt to avoid the person trying way too hard to shield his identity until they managed to collide.
Snapped from her reverie, the blonde cheerleader grunted in surprise, watching the weird guy attempt act as non-suspiciously as possible while shielding his face irked the hell out of Shion. Yeah, it was an all-too familiar scenario. An all-too understandable reaction, and not exactly anything new. But... just for today, couldn't she not have to be reminded of how much she might have messed up?

As Kenji attempted to pass, her hand latched onto his shoulder, her gaze boring into his skull, "hold it, ya dumbass. What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Good going, Shion, make him feel comfortable, Shion chastised herself bitterly. She wanted to just let the poor guy go about his business and not make her reputation any worse, But she was frustrated and angry at herself. She wanted to vent, and... well, Kenji had elected himself as scapegoat, so he got to feel terrible with her.
This flawless and rational plan was quickly ruined when someone wrapped their arms around her. Very much unsure of how to react to someone acting so familiarly with her, Shion's grip on Kenji loosened while she... tried to figure out the correct response to Aiko's friendliness.

"...Don't touch me!" the ever-so-popular muttered irritably, narrowing her eyes as she seemed to shrink slightly.
While Zurumon hopped along without a care in the world, Mana followed behind, fighting the urge to run and find a human stranger to help her out. Zurumon didn't seem intent on harming her, but she was having a little trouble trusting the yellow blob with giant, red eyes of doom. At least it was... talkative?

It was blabbering on about a 'Digivice', which was also the thing Mana had found before finding herself in this strange jungle. The item had somehow relocated to her pocket in the meantime, and she was now staring at it quizzically, stumbling over random roots while Zurumon talked about 'Digivolution' and 'Digitude' and 'Digiwhatever'.
"So, to summarise, that digidoodad lets grow bigger, faster, stronger and more handsome," Zurumon concluded cheerfully, "which is where you come on!"

"Come in how?" Mana asked, trying to find some way to make this Digivice function."

"Well, you need to make those digivolutions happen!" the yellow monster pointed out, "so the sooner you can do that, the bet-"

A rustling sound was heard by the duo, making the two freeze. Mana's heart started to quicken its pace, fearing a more hostile monster was on its way, "...wh-what's there?"

Zurumon narrowed its eyes, trying to listen in. There... didn't seem to be heavy footsteps, and there were voices. Two?
Mana crouched beside the little monster, wondering if it was going to be of any use in a battle or anything. Truth be told, she could probably hurt something far more than it.
"Doesn't sound like an enemy..." Zurumon whispered, "But just in case, stay quiet and still..."

Mana simply nodded once, trying to suppress her trembling. Fighting hostile monsters in a strange land was not a thing she wanted to be a part of at the moment, and despite her misgivings, her best bet was to trust Zurumon.
The source of the voices revealed themselves at last, and it was... a boy with red, spiky hair. Before Mana could question this, Zurumon suddenly announced their presence, yelling, "Comrades! Sweet, we're safe!"

Wordlessly, Mana slowly rose to her feet, looking between the boy and his... associate, some weird living fireball. Huh.
"...I can't help but feel like he's way better defended," Mana muttered with a tinge of jealousy, before clearing her friend and saying, "Hey, um... by any chance, you didn't happen to wake up here, did you? Because I want to know why I'm here."
All I know isMorgana is totally getting that book.
I'm fine with that.
So, who wants to meet up with Mana?
The things Miri was saying was no doubt very important. After all, she was talking at length, that usually meant there was something of worth being said, right? Unfortunately, the fairy fluttering above the table stopped paying attention to what she was saying around the time that the book was placed on the table. That had to be valuable! People liked books! Especially the picture books that were always stored at the bottom of piles, or inside treasure chests! And this book had a picture of a... a... shape! Just think of how awesome that would look, stored next to that chalice she found the week before! The items had nothing in common with each, but they were clearly meant to be a pair.

The blonde fairy known as Morgana floated closer to the book, eyes sparkling with delight, though hearing the word 'princess' gave her pause. She had come to this place in order to steal some of those, after all. Hm... Princesses were probably more valuable, and thus demanded more effort, but the book was right there!

"Hey, Book Person!" Morgana called to Miri cheerfully, landing softly upon the table, between the hats, "how many picture books is a Princess worth? Also, I'm not a thief! And lastly, when I steal a Princess, what's the best place to hide one?"

Well, at the very least, storing a Princess for safe-keeping technically wasn't breaking rules, right?
It wasn't exactly a rare sight for Shion to look gloomy. After all, it was part of the reason she was generally avoided. And while the source of said gloominess was usually her self-imposed solitude, today there was a new cause, and the cheerleader couldn't seem to shake it from her mind.

Hands in the pockets of her jacket, her eyes were busy boring holes into the ground at her feet, standing outside a manga store. She wanted to ignore it, divulge herself in some random, romantic manga and dive into a world filled with love and cheer. Instead, Kazuko kept floating back to the forefront of her thoughts.
Shion's frown was slowly shifting to a scowl. Goddamnit, it had nothing to do with her! She had no reason to fret over it!
Still, the timing was pretty horrible. Her gaze shifted to the plastic bag lying beside her. She'd bought those chocolates for Kazuko, as a way to make up for yelling at her the day before.

Shion hadn't meant to yell, but of course, she always did. She... just didn't want to admit she was struggling with the class' subject, and Kazuko was only trying to help a little. So, feeling guilty, the chocolates were supposed to be her way of asking forgiveness. Well, not like it was going to matter now.
She sighed heavily, wishing she hadn't said those things. Insulting her for helping was bad enough, but for her to just... end up in hospital like that, not long afterwards... it was almost like...
There was a lot of them.

The silver, almost crystalline flower stem slammed into the ground, crushing the dark creature beneath it. Before it had even finished evaporating, it was raised and swung swiftly in a 180o arc, striking a similar creature that attacked from the wielder's back. A second, flower-like weapon was then thrust upwards, the pom-pom that lay atop it striking a third creature,

The long-haired figure was surrounded by the creatures. Not that there was a whole lot of them. Twelve, tops, and three were already down.

They shuffled from side to side, as if trying to decide which direction was the best to attack from. The blonde smiled, amused that they even bothered considering options when they were dead no matter what.
One of them rushed forward, swiftly defeated with a single swipe of her weapon. Riot Lily grinned coldly at the monsters. Oh, how she enjoyed destroying them...
Not quite sure how old to make her, but other than that...

  • Name: Morgana

  • Age:

  • Race: Fairy

  • Appearance: "I swear I never once stole an item in my life."

  • Job: Professional Thief

  • Skills & Abilities:
Morgana can use shrinking magic on anything inorganic. Though the bigger things are, the more difficult it is to accomplish. Anything human-sized is pretty much beyond her ability.
She can fly. And glide. And barrel roll.
And of course, she is totally the best thief in all the land.

  • Inventory:
A small notebook which details all of her stolen items, and where she's hidden them. Comes with a free miniature quill.

  • Description: A fairy who one day got bored with staying in the one kingdom forever and ever. Morgana came up with various pastimes in an attempt to appease her boredom, and eventually settled on stealing things from her fellow fairies. She found it fun to anticipate her discovery, and loved how riled it made others. Eventually, though, it was necessary for her to leave in order to avoid having half the kingdom beat her up.
Morgana's spent a long while traveling from Kingdom to Kingdom, stealing random items of varying value. Things like a warrior's sword, a student's homework, and Billy's left shoe, all in the name of fun. Of course, it wasn't long before she realised that there was nowhere to actually put all the stuff she took. Sure, she could shrinki things to her size, but that still left the small matter of storage space. She eventually took to noting down all of her escapades, should she ever need to find things again. Whether or not her hiding places were actually hidden is another story, though.
Morgana herself is a cheerful, if forgetful little fairy, who likes to over-assure others of her innocence and trustful nature. And as long as you have nothing of value, this holds true. Still, even if she means no harm, stealing is stealing, and she has seemingly no consistent definition of what's actually 'valuable'. Billy's left shoe can vouch for that.
Of course, with every successful theft, her aspirations grow. And having stolen so many things over the years, it's only natural that she set her sights on something magnificent and grand; Princesses! What better challenge could there be, than to steal some of the most important people ever? Though putting them somewehere for safe-keeping will be a bit difficult...
