Sandbox, with a focus on silly comedic antics between characters, really. Plots will probably be introduced, though I'd like for character-driven stories to occur as well, really.

And yeah, it's easy to forget mark-up when the forums I visit all seem to use completely different methods.
Good, good, this interest pleases me. And my dark lord.
There are several reasons why one would wind up suffering for eternity in Hell. You were a remorseless killer, you left friends and family to wallow in poverty as you rose to success, you made a career out of kicking puppies, and who knows what other vile deeds. Maybe your crimes against humanity were relatively minor, and you simply never felt the need to repent. Either way, you got stuck carving brimstone with just your teeth for the next seven kajillion and five years.

But what if you were given the chance to work off your Sin on Earth?

You see, Hell's gotten just a wee bit overcrowded lately. The Damned are stuck living in very cramped conditions, practically living in cubicles (you know, between all the Terrible Suffering and stuff), and there isn't even any space for people to drag rocks bigger than themselves these days. So Satan himself was forced to come up with a plan to deal with the crowding. He's getting quite sick of lending valuable Palace Of Terror and Hatred space to those silly lost lambs.

And thus, several lucky souls have been selected via the Devil's patented 'seriously just throw any random idiot up there' technique to work off their Sin within the realm of the living, and even earn the right to finally ascend to Heaven.

--------------------

So... yeah, random idea I've had sitting around for a while. As the title implies, I'm aiming for a more comedic route here. Some things to note:

  • Those working on Earth are assigned to a 'section', with some devil as an Overseer. For the purposes of this RP, it will take place in Somewhere Land.

  • Since they're still technically dead, the chosen are effectively zombies; their body functions just like the living, but they don't die when killed. Serious/irreparable damage simply results in a respawn.

  • Several restrictions and conditions are in place for the chosen. As an example... NPC A works off his Sin in a garage for the next three-hundred years. To maintain the right to work off his Sin, the condition is to wear a bright, frilly dress during work hours. Or the shy soul working as a receptionist has to divulge into hammy, evil monologues when in a crowd of at least twelve people.

  • What is with the crowd completely forgetting about the strange events they witness just mere minutes before? It's almost as if they're going out of their way to not make a big deal out of it or something.

  • I... think I've covered the most important points. Any questions?
Clearly, we need StB's Angels. Or a 1000 Heartless Army.
  • Name: Roxas

  • Universe: Kingdom Hearts

  • Appearance: The Key of Destiny

  • Personality: Despite being a Nobody, Roxas seems unique in the sense that his personality seems genuine, rather than a forced attempt to appear emotional like other Nobodies. Although naive, Roxas enjoys simply being with his friends, and will quickly defend them from anything, from totes 1337 bullies to freaky zip-faces. He is known to be a tad cocky and perhaps even slightly arrogant in competitions, though not to insufferable levels.
Although he is more likely to be cautious than outright reckless, his tempeer can get the etter of him, especially is someone is trying to manipulate him, or seems to know anything about him and refuse to divulge any information. When angered, his negative tendencies are amplified, Roxas throwing all caution and reason to the wind and opting to simply beat the answers he needs out of something.

  • Powers/Skills:
*He's a Keyblade Wielder. Which means he can attack with giant keys. These also have the power to open just about any lock, as well as return to his hand, should he somehow drop it. Though it appears he doesn't even know about that last one.
*He's also pretty agile. Agile enough to run up a skycraper, at least.
*His affinity with 'Light' allows him to utilise Light-based magic attacks in various ways, such as giant swords or orbs.

  • Equipment:
He technically doesn't 'carry' them, but Roxas can wield the Keyblade, which resides in Hammerspace. He tends to wield the Kingdom Key, or dual-wield the Oathkeeper and Oblivion.

  • Others: He has the best theme.
  • The indisputable evidence remained aloft for several moments as Mana tried not to groan in frustration. It was quite difficult, given the non-chalant dismissal of her guess, but... it wasn't like her Contract didn't have a point. Mana had ended up ignoring the fundamental basics of the summoned beings in her attempt to deduce the vampire's identity, which tended to not yield the answers one sought.

Finally, Mana decided to let her head collide with her desk, her mumbling excuse inaudible and pointless to decipher. This was just unacceptable! Such a trivial matter should not be bringing her spirits down! She was... yeah, MAna was just a little tired! And probaly in the midst of solving far more important mysteries! Yeah, totally! Making a mental note to create a few puzzles which she could claim to be focusing on at a later date, Mana lifted her head and stared at the vampire from behind her slightly askew glasses, "...Just a joke guess. To throw you off. Anyway, are you just gonna sit there drinking that stuff all day? You could at least find a murder case for us to do."
Rin's bright red face was breaking out in a nervous sweat, quite a departure from his usual calm, cool demeanour. He really was not used to things like this, especially remarks that made him sound so... so... indecent!

"N-no, of course not!" the flustered teacher hurriedly tried to clear himself of any suspicion, "I-I just meant that- okay, can everyone start going home now?! - I meant to do it inside! Inside!"

Come on man, you're a teacher! Get your act together and take charge Rin scolded himself. What did he have to act all shy for, anyway?! He just had to deal with this like a responsile adult and resolve things in a calm and suitable manner. How hard could that really be?
Clearing his throat, Rin raised his voice, "Okay everyone! No more gawking! You two," he pointed at the pair of bunny girls, "I want you to get changed - in the changing room, obviously - and meet me in the faculty room in five minutes! The rest of you, pretend you saw nothing, okay? Please?"

Feeling confident that he was doing his job well, Rin gradually began to look less and less flustered.
    Thar we go.

And poor Lupa still needs a partner.
The Mystery Research & Investigation Club Room, with the walls pretty much lined with many books - novels, encyclopedae, reports, anything with words really - was abound with activity. And by 'abound with activity', the place was, in actuality, quiet and sparsely populated. By about two people. The reasons for this were truly mysterious, but not the topic for that day. No, a far greater subject had taken precedence and needed immediate resolution. Naturally, Mana was hard at work solving this great puzzle.

"...Clothing matches this era, lending credence to this person..." she muttered to herself, nose almost scratching the book she closely perused, "on the other hand, her physical appearance looks nothing like her, but if I assume that..."

Indeed, ever since that vampire had been summoned, Mana's hands had been full with the task of discerning her real identity. Why her Contract wanted her name to be hidden, Mana had no idea, but no doubt that answer would be immediately clear, once she discovered the actual name of the vampire.

"...Yes, that's it!" Mana suddenly cried, rising from her seat, and sending the towers of books resting precauriously on her tower over the edge and all over the floor. Paying this no need, Mana lifted the book and flipped its contents towards the vampire in question, a triumphant look on her face, "I got it! You're really Agnes Swanson, aren't you?!"
It had been a difficult trial, but finally, Mana had found out her Contract's identity; a random woman with a matching dress sense who lived aout seven hundred years ago. A commoner who was actually a little girl because records of her existence - if an off-hand mention in an ancient celcus could even qualify for 'records' - were spotty at best. Still, it clearly explained everything! She just didn't like revealing her name because her unremarkable human life was so boring and bland!

Mana awaited confirmation of her conclusion with a smug smile, glad that her excellent mystery-solving prowess had come through for her in spectacular fashion.
    Character the First.

  • Name: Akatsuki Kojou

  • Universe: Strike the Blood

  • Appearance: Behold the mightiest vampire.

  • Personality: A typical selfless and caring Protagonist who can't seem to catch a hint that a girl might like him. Very willing to throw himself into the path of a villain to save someone for any reason, and will refuse to lie down and surrender. Aside from that, he's a very easy-going and laid-back guy who keeps his vampirism a secret from his younger sister. And everyone else, really. Who knows how his friends would react to the news he was a vampire suddenly?

  • Powers/Skills: As a vampire, more specifically the 4th Progenitor, Kojou is among the strongest of vampires in his world. Naturally, this comes with enhanced strength, speed and durability. He is also pretty much immortal, capable of healing even from decapitation. He also technically has access to a variety of extremely powerful Familiars, but as they have yet to recognise his worth as the 4th Progenitor, he can't summon any of them.
While Kojou can be rendered inoperable with lethal damage (it takes a while to heal, after all) or some sort of sealing technique, he is also very susceptible to anti-magic, as this will negate his healing and immortality as long as it's active.

  • Brief Bio: He was pretty much a normal teenager until recently, when a vampire named Avrova ordered him to destroy her. Having become a 'successor of the kaleid blood', Kojou kept his vampirism a secret from everyone. And then one day ended up somewhere decidedly not on Itogami Island somehow.

  • Equipment: He doesn't really carry anything around with him, except his phone.

  • Others: He doesn't have to drink blood, and thus chooses not to. Unless he's been considerably weakened and needs the boost in power. Incidentally, drinking the blood of those he's aroused by seems to be the key to having his Familiars acknowldge and fight for him, though... I don't really plan on introducing them.
