I've always liked them, really. I could just never use them that well at all.
Ice Barriers are indeed quite weak, main-deck wise, but hey, we're not supposed to be using meta-level stuff anyway. Or at least not deck builds that make a deck meta.

Anyways, I... use a lot of archetypes. Until Noble Knights happened, my favourite deck was E - HEROs. I'm also quite fond of Sylvans, Lightsworns, Madolche... there's a lot of stuff I like to play, really.

Then there's the gimmicky stuff, like my Goblins deck, Ruin & Demise, and even a Thousand-Eyes Idol deck at some point.
Well, to be fair, the opponent had used an Instant Fusion and Soul Charge'd two monsters, so the accidental OTK became even easier to do.

I'm still experimenting with the deck, though. Going for a Masked Poly build. That uses no Xyz's, because E - HEROs are too awesome for that.
Shana, having not expected the sudden hug, had her expression frozen in a vaguely confused smile as she was lifted from the ground. Wow, this girl was much friendlier than she'd thought!
Once her feet was upon solid ground again, Shana's grin returned in full, tipping the brim of her hat upwards slightly a she laughed, "I'll try! Guess I'll have to improve within a few hours!"

Someone yelled something, causing Shana to look for the source of the noise. She just glimpsed someone returning to their seat, causing her head to tilt in wonder.

"...Think ahead, huh?" the straw-hat mused aloud. Thinking over the cards she had available... was there a better strategy to use? She never drew a trap card, but could she have used Thestalos somehow? Maybe she should have tried harder to summon her Sword Master? Could those cards have changed the outcome?
Instantly realising the right strategy wasn't something Shana excelled at, so finding out the correct play was a tad difficult for her.
For collab posts, I'd recommend that, at most, each player conducts one turn per post, just so that people can react and comment in as close to real time as possible. And doesn't create weird timing issues.

On an unrelated note, Shadow Mist has proven his worth as a true HERO of the elements.
Looks like he hasn't been on for about a week. He... probably won't be coming back in time for the duel, at this rate. Not unless someone knows him off-site to confirm.

Anyways, poor Shana. To be fair, she didn't really draw any defensive cards at all.
Ehe. Well, not to worry, I'm sure she'll be able to beat the Unlivestock.

...Right...?
Shana's victory cheering sure didn't last long when Charlotte pointed out that she had no problems bringing the dragon back. If anything, her deck specialised in it. That would be problematic, but she had a monster with 2000 attack! Surely it would provide enough of a wall to defend her remaining Life Points!
the fiery-haired duelist watched the Galaxy Wizard suspiciously. A 0-attack monster? that seemed like a strange move- ah, there it was. The familiar dragon appeared once more, though this time in defense mode. Before Shana could thank whoever was the boss of the Judgment flames for her good fortune, the Xyz Summon occurred. Her jaw fell to the ground in disbelief when she saw its attack power.

"...That's... wow... just... amazing..." Shana gasped. Because honestly, between the thing's insane ATK, as well as its majesty, how the hell were you supposed to not appreciate such marvelous, albeit ludicrous, design?
Oh, right, it was attacking. Shana gritted her teeth. It was going to leave her with 300 LP and no legroom for a lot of her monster's effects, but she would still be in the game! Tank this hit, and then next turn, just draw something powerf- where did that extra 1600 come from.

"...Meep." Shana wasn't quite sure how to react to her Vulcan getting punched so hard that he shattered into trillions of pieces - taking the remainder of her LP along with it.
And with that, her holograms shut down and Shana sank to her knees, as if dazed. She had fought powerful opponents before (and honestly, given her win/loss record, pretty much everyone was powerful compared to her), but she had never been so handily defeated so quickly, and by a monster that strong!

Flikkar appeared above her shoulder, the flame billowing gently in its attempt at comforting her. After a moment, Shana's smile returned in full as she hopped back to her feet, approaching Charlotte with her hand outstretched, "You were amazing! I'm sorry I wasn't a worthy opponent, but I'll do my best to beat you for real in the tournament!"
For the moment, Shana took no notice of the surrounding crowd.
Poor Shana. Everyone's watching right as she gets punched to submission.

First one is actually amazing from a meta game standpoint when it is your opponent going first, and they plan on setting up on you.Cause setting up in this game is a huge pain to deal with. More so when Heavy is banned. Set 5 and Laggia should never be a thing ever again.Side note, I'm working on my introduction post right now. Hopefully I can beat Roxas to the punch before they make their next post.

Well, I can wait. I'd waited a whole day earlier in case someone wanted to comment, after all.

Anyways, I'm not entirely sure if the OCG has implemented the new rules yet, but the TCG is definitely still using the six cards starting hand and single field rules.
