At the sound of another voice behind her, Smitten Kitten turned around ready to use a Fire Rune. But what she saw, she couldn't believe her eyes. "What!? No you... They said you were gone!" Smitten Kitten never thought that she'd see Corpse Collector, of all people. Well, she was wearing a different outfit, but her name tag read as Corpse Collector. Either way, Smitten Kitten got herself ready for a fight. "What are you doing here, of all places? You're not trying to fight the Black King are you? Because I'm not going to help you! I'll defeat the Black King myself, and I don't need a cheater like you to do it!" Smitten Kitten was very much aware that during her battle with Corpse Collector, she must have been using some sort of hack to do everything she did. Kitten researched it very thoroughly, and there was no weapon, rare or unique, that could summon Dissolutions with just a bullet. Though as she continued to think about it, perhaps this wasn't too bad. Surely Corpse Collector knew something about the four kings murder, considering her defeat came just one day before their deaths.

"But yes... I am looking into the king's murder. I... I'm pretty sure that the black king isn't the one who killed them. But I know she has something to do with it! Opening the Ebony Strykers was an important part of the plan, so I know that somehow, she and her guild has a link in all of this. And I'm sure you do to. So tell me everything you know!" Smitten Kitten demanded from Corpse Collector. Despite her near death experience last time, Smitten Kitten had no fear of dying this time, being much stronger and having more experience.
"Ah shucks. Looks like the doors are closed."

White Death slouched over her motorcycle. She was on the side of a mountain over looking the black city, but she knew she couldn't get inside, what with the giant wall of guards standing between her and the city. She'd need her entire guild to back her up, and again, she hated these sort of large scale battles. Sighing in defeat White Death simply decided to take a joy ride through the other guild's territory. Now that they had this alliance thing going on, she figured this would be a great time to do some sight seeing, take some screen caps, and maybe if she's lucky she might run into a few low-level dissolution's on the way just to keep things interesting. She decided to head to the Scarlet Harley territories, since she figured that a guild named after a motorcycle would have the perfect scenery for a rider to cruise through.
There was much more to Deep Ground than just a game, Smitten Kitten knew this much. And whatever it was, she also knew that Moon Rider had something to do with it. She didn't have any evidence of course, but she was there when the Ebon Stykers opened up. First the elusive guild begins to accept membership, than the game crashes, than there was that Corpse Collector character with her game-breaking abilities, the death of the Four Kings, and the sudden rise of power for the Ebon Stykers. This was all just too convenient to be coincidental. And to top it off, the Ebon Stykers were allied with not another colored guild, but the Sweepers. A loosely organized group of vigilantes, but Smitten Kitten thinks they're something much more sinister than that. Rumor had it that the Sweepers were actually a faction full of hackers who caused the shutdown of Deep Ground when the Black Guild first opened up. They also think that Corpse Collector was a renegade Sweeper that tried to take out Moon Rider one too many times. A lot of people think that the Sweepers killed the Guild Leaders and put their own people in power.

All of this was rumors of course, but nothing that Smitten Kitten dismissed. Any other player might have not cared, but this was just wrong. She felt that the Ebon Stykers were being way too aggressive to be doing this simply because it's a game. There was a bigger conspiracy involved, and Smitten Kitten was going to find out the truth. To that end, she began to pursue rumors of a strange phenomenon. A masked Avatar who possessed the ability to change his status from Player to Enemy NPC with presumably little to no effort. Apparently this person showed up during the battle with Corpse Collector, and even fought against a king, but again these were just rumors with very little evidence beyond word of mouth. But it was something that Smitten Kitten could look into, and she was. She didn't know where the masked avatar could be at, but she knew where to start; the last place she battled Corpse Collector.

The Black City was full of Ebon Styker Goons. Even after she saw a whole army of them drive out from their territory, she there was still enough around that she couldn't go walking through the streets without getting picked off. So she made good use of her Warp Runes to move her to positions she felt that no one would see her at until she reached the location where she last saw Corpse Collector, on the roof of some building. She remembered the ocean of Dissolutions that were here, Corpse Collector's crazy power, and how bizarre the entire situation was. "I have to find something fast before the Ebon guys find me here." Smitten Kitten began to look around the area for something that may tip her off to this mysterious masked avatar.
"Ug. I so don't want to fight against that blowhard."

White Death complained as she was lounging in the Ivory Mask HQ. It wasn't quite as lively after the coup, but at least they managed to get the old HQ back instead of having to make a new one. The news of the Black King allying with the Sweepers didn't really matter to White Death. "So a bunch of wannabe heroes decide to work with the bad guys. With all the guilds gunning for the Ebon Stykers, it doesn't matter what exclusive club joins them. They're as good as dead now." Other Ivory Masks members may have been getting ready to go fight the Ebon Stykers, but White Death had no personal quarrel with them, at least not one that would justify why she'd want to go find them and kill them. Sure it was a huge battle, but she didn't like big fights between armies. Too chaotic and they end too quickly once one side get's a good foothold. She'd prefer skirmishes between small raiding parties and sentries, where things are much more one-on-one. You could get killed by a random explosion in a big battle, but when it's 5 v 5 you know exactly what could kill you.

That being said, the White Death wanted to do something. She figured that if everyone was going to go fight over at the Green Guild's turf, she'd made her way over to the Black City to stir up trouble of her own. Besides that, there was some rumors she wanted to look into. Apparently that Corpse Collector incident started there and the Black City had a bunch of glitches that could reveal the secret of Deep Ground. It sounds like a load of crap, but it was certainly more interesting than "Fight the Ebon Stykers until they get bored and die". So off she went; on her motorbike White Death went towards the Black City. With any luck all that commotion over at the Green Guild will keep the EBon Stykers distracted from seeing her sneak into their city.
I made my edits. Though if I'm getting this right, we should have some abilities starting out, right? I think there was some talk back at the old OOC about how characters don't actually have any unique skills (Or even a class) until they hit level three, which was why I made Smitten Kitten level 3 so she had some skills to use. I don't know if you all worked that out or not.
Appearance (Real Life):

(The gun is a paintball replica)
Height: 6'7
Weight: 166lb
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Blue
Name: Amy Firebrand
Age: 17
History: Amy is something of a delinquent. This mostly was due to her almost absurd size; even as a baby she was as big as her older brother, who was three at the time. Normally being big might have made her a target for bullying, but no, she was quick to use her size to make sure she didn't get picked on. But this only made her look like a bully herself, since she usually towered over just about anyone who had a problem with her, and didn't back down from a challenge. So growing up, Amy was always seen as the "Bad guy" since she seemed to be stronger than everyone else who kept fighting her. But she didn't want to be the bad guy, she just didn't want to have to pretend weakness in order to get people to leave her alone.

Most of her problems growing up really revolved around constantly trying to show that she isn't "weak" in some way or form. Someone thinks that she isn't athletic, and she goes all out to prove them wrong. People thing she's stupid, and she holds nothing back to ace every test they throw at her. But she get's so riled up and is so aggressive, that she doesn't really "Keep" the skills she picks up. She'd join sports for a few months and forgets about it, since she never really liked the sports anyways. She'd study her butt off for tests but by the end of the year she'll only remember that she had learned it at some point. Amy get's so caught up in proving people "Wrong" that she doesn't really enjoy what she does. She doesn't even enjoy proving people wrong, and just does it to get them to stop bothering her.

When shew as around 13 she started playing Deep Ground, just as many kids would. She found it to be cathartic; she could finally stop constantly holding herself back and just go all out against her enemies without being seen as a "Bully". Funnily enough, this freedom taught her now to reign in her passion and take things easy for once. Deep Ground, for all it's importance around fighting, was the one place where Amy could just relax and enjoy the game itself, instead of all the life-related issues about it.
Appearance (Avatar):

Avatar Class: Sniper Gunner
Avatar Title: White Death
Avatar Level (Initial): 2
Avatar Guild: Ivory Masks
Avatar Abilities:
Old Fashion - White Death is uniquely able to turn all Sniper Rifles into Bows instead. They retain the same powers and stats, however they function differently; the arrows move "Slower" than bullets, but are capable of being shot in an arc over or around obstacles. Instead of magazines, the White Death can shoot indefinitely but only as fast as she can manually notch, pull, and release her arrows. Additionally, the arrows can be used as improvised melee weapons, and can further be coated with item-based poisons normally reserved by assassin's and melee weapons. The bow is also obviously silenced, allowing her to remain hidden while attacking.
Blizzard - White Death can cover a very large area with a blinding snow storm. Those caught inside the storm suffer from slowed movements and their skills take twice as long to cool down. If the White Death is within the Blizzard, she becomes effectively invisible and the blizzard will slowly cause the enemy to freeze to death. One hour cool down.
Other: Only recently joined the Ivory Masks after a new change in leadership and mostly because of boredom. Likes the color green. Has a motorcycle in Deep Ground which functions a bit more like a horse in that she doesn't always needs to have her hands on the handles to keep the motorcycle moving.
Needs more lolis.

Appearance (Real Life):

Height: 5ft

Weight: 111lb

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Hazel

Name: Hibiki Toho

Age: 13

History: Hibiki comes from a very wealthy family who has personal bonds in the Deep Ground Online game, with her mother and father both important investors. Her family runs Toho Systems, a conglomerate of computer hardware, program apps, security, and just about anything that you'd imagine is "Futuristic". Hibiki, being the youngest of five, was rather spoiled. Her parent's financial success actually allows them to spend time with their daughter, unlike her older siblings who grew up without them for the most part. It has made some slight tensions, but in the end they're all family.

The biggest issue (If it could even be called that) Hibiki ever had to deal with was her innocence. She thinks that she knows the world, warts and all, and believes that she can actually do something for it. Her parents do nothing to dissuade these notions or even show her what the world is really like outside the walls of her house and the media. So when Hibiki was 13 of course she took part of the Deep Ground Online, using the best her parents would provide for her. She wants to change the world, even if she doesn't really know what's out there.

Personality: Hibiki is naive to the point of stupidity. While having a healthy amount of caution, she still has her youthful vigor and ignorance of danger, more so in Deep Ground since to her it's all just a game. While she can have quite an attitude and a bad mouth when dealing with bullies, she rarely holds grudges for long unless you really do something horrible. For better or for worse, easy to befriend and is a nice kid, even if she constantly wants to hang out with you.

Easier to use when her target has been weaken, and those who have been successfully turned into an ally becomes fully healed and will fight for Smitten Kitten until they die. Can only have one befriended follower at a given time, though she can dismiss them and they will still be friendly, however she won't be able to control them directly. Has no effect on stronger enemies or against other players, though she can use this skills to take over Mage's undead minions or demons.

Lyn gave Meirin a happy smile, which warmed her heart a little. Despite the near-death accident, somehow being with Lyn made things a bit less stressful. But Lyn didn't follow Meirin immediately, instead seeming interested in some of the merchant's wares. If it was the weapon that Lyn was interested in, Meirin still was not going to buy it. First of all, Lyn should not be with the group if they would face demons, even if one of her caretakers was the demonmancy teacher. Secondly, Meirin had no money to purchase anything. She had spent most of her money on her equipment before the mission, and what she had was just pocket change, not enough to buy an enchanted item. But as Lyn continued to look at the wares, Meirin noticed that it wasn't the weapons that Lyn was interested in, but a decorative brooch of some sort. It was pretty, but Meirin had very little interest in items of vanity like that. Besides that, it was also likely to be expansive due to it's craftsmanship and the gemstone. Meirin picked up the little knickknack and called for the merchant. "How much for this?"

Meirin wasn't much of a barterer, but she was able to trade one of her Lungchuan tamo for the little piece of jewelry that Lyn had her eyes on. However, Meirin did not give it to Lyn. Even though Meirin didn't really care much about wearing jewelry, she wore the trinket around her neck on a little bronze chain given to her by the merchants. "Come along now Lyn. Let's get you inside before it gets too dark and maybe have something to eat too, okay?" The amulet reflected the moonlight through it's gem like the surface of calm water. Meirin would gently take Lyn's hand and tried to walk her to the inn. Her arms, though mostly healed thanks to the rune, was still sore and Meirin didn't want to strain them having to pull Lyn along. "Would you like some soup Lyn? I smell something really good, and I bet it's a chicken soup... With barley." Meirin took a few more sniffs in the air, and aside from the smell of booze and animals, the delicious scent of some chicken-based soup wafted through the air.
Meirin simply nodded her head as Ssarak gave her the vitamancy rune. She had heard a little bit about runes, mostly that it's a type of ancient magic much like her Weaving. More common place however, and as far as she knows has much for functionality. Meirin gripped the rune in her hand tightly before tucking it into one of her pockets. She didn't know how to use it and didn't want to risk breaking it if it could really heal her arms. But at least now there was a solution. Before Ssarak left he also asked Meirin to watch over Lyn. "Of course. Take your time."

As Ssarak left, Meirin struggled to dig through her pockets to take out the small container of her medication. She was feeling very tired right now, but she still needed to be awake t take care of Lyn and to get her healing. The pain in her arms made it hard for her to hold her medicine steadily, but after she managed to get a few pills into her hand she popped them into her mouth and swallowed them whole. Once that was done she went to look for Lyn, who had wondered near another caravan. "Lyn!"

Meirin walked after Lyn, though she didn't really stop her. Although Meirin wanted Lyn to go back to the college, she couldn't really bring herself to be angry at Lyn. Sure this was a dangerous mission, and she did think that Lyn was being foolish for coming with them, but there was also the fact that if it weren't for Lyn Meirin might have been dead right now. She remembered how she saw Lyn use her magic, presumably herbmancy, to keep the ropes together long enough for Meirin to let go and save her. If Lyn was a bit older Meirin would have suggested that Lyn take Alaira's place. But Lyn was still a child, and despite how useful she's been so far, Meirin didn't want her to be in any danger. With any luck they could get Alaira to take Lyn back to the college, solving two problems at once.

"Lyn, honey, don't wander off from us." When Meirin caught up with Lyn she gently put her hand on Lyn's head. She wasn't sure what Lyn was thinking right now, but Meirin wanted to make sure that Lyn knew that Meirin wasn't angry at her. "Let's go wait at the inn okay?" But before Meirin could take Lyn away, she was approached by the merchants. They wanted to sell her "Anti-Demon" weapons. Meirin smiled at them politely but declined. "Thank you, but that won't be necessary. I'm quite capable of dealing with demons. Thank you for the offer. Now, come along Lyn."
After returning to the ship, Noelle and Corrira quickly started their training. Corrira was a decent trainer and Noelle was a very good student, and within the two days she learned a small handful of spells. A Lightning Bolt spell, instant hitting and good for taking out mages and warriors alike, a Frost Bite spell for utility and in case she get's too close to someone with a sword, a Weakness to Poison spell that would work well with her poisons, and a conjuration spell. Noelle was surprised that Corrira would teach her such a spell, but apparently it was suppose to be a sort of "Ace in the hole" when his destruction magic doesn't work out. Noelle tested out these spells on her own time when she wasn't out in the city buying supplies. She made a good little profit from their raid on the bandit cove, enough to comfortably resupply the infirmary. So long as no one comes down with some obscure disease or poison, Noelle had the peace of mind that she can deal with any injury that comes aboard the ship.

Than the day came. The slave ship that Sharee had her eyes on had finally set sail. Once it was well out of protection of Mistral's harbor the whole crew were stirred up to get moving. Noelle even pitched in casting the sails and making sure that no one stressed themselves out physically; she needed to make sure everyone was healthy for what was about to happen. Soon the lookout saw the slave ship and Sharee told everyone to ready themselves. "Men, to me!" Noelle called out to her lackies. I took a little while, but soon Gaius, Corrira, Naaji, and Omdran stood in front of her. "Alright boys, here's what we're doing. Gaius you shall followed the fighters onto the ship, but not before I give you some magic strengthening. Corrira stay close to me and blast anything that you see that wants to kill us. Naaji and Omdran, I want you at least ten feet behind Gaius and take out any archers or mages that he can't get to. And don't expect me to be there to heal your every nick and cut; I may be the healer on this ship but I can't be everywhere. If you're too wounded to fight than don't fight and get out. Here are some tonics I brewed up for today. Use them only when necessary." Noelle gave each of her lackeys a potion. "Those are Draughts of Escape. They would heal some of your wounds and turn you invisible, perfect in a pinch. Once we clear the deck regroup with me and I'll give you new orders. Now get to positions!"
Sorry for disappearing. I'll try to get a post up today.
I'm still here by the way. I'll try to figure out something to post with Smitten Kitten.
