So... What to do...
"Two boxes of twelve gauge and this whetstone." Xia put her things onto the counter. She was shopping at a shady gun launderer store for some ammo. Getting to Buje wasn't easy with all these supernatural monsters constantly attacking her, but even if they were floating eye balls, fire-breathing lizards, or abominations, they weren't immune to a shotgun blast or four to the chest. After making her purchase Xia left the store and was back onto the streets of Buje. The sky was blue here unlike in the capital wasteland, a dull state of grey or black. It was strange to see, but after being here for so long, it was only strange when she thought about it. She was thinking more about how to get more money now, however. She had, admittedly, resorted to banditry a short time after arriving to this world, but after a few run in with local authorities she decided that highway robbery wasn't her forte. Now being a gun-for-hire, that might have gone over better. Even if she wasn't going to be a raider there was still plenty of them, and Xia was no stranger to a gunfight. She just needed to find someone to hire her.

The local watering hole was always a good source for that sort of job. Shady fellows or savvy ones looking for shady people to hire for their deliveries. She went to a place called Forever Standing, and chuckled at the name. "If I found you in the Wasteland, maybe I'd believe you." She opened the doors, her cloak hiding her arms and weapons. First thing she noticed was a spiky fellow talking to the barkeep, kept a close eye on him. There was a few other patrons too, armed just like her, but otherwise showed no interest in starting something. She just went over to one of the booths, took a seat, and waited to be served.
Sorry for being gone, I forgot about this. I'll be making a post soon.
To her surprise, her sneak attack did little to harm the bear. He didn't seen seem all that hurt, though she did at least sent him back a few feet. Regardless of the damage, the bear turn and ran back to the forest. Meirin went over to the fallen body, but she didn't recognize him. Didn't matter though, he was bleeding heavily and needed immediate attention. She did a rudimentary patch job by tearing off some cloth from her clothes and bandaged up some of the stranger's wounds, before picking him up effortlessly and running towards the infirmary. Along the way, Meirin was met with yet another surprise; another wounded student. She saw one fairly muscular girl looking at the body in shock. If Meirin had to guess, the other girl was also injured in some way. "Gods, everyone is getting hurt... You there! Let me help you carry her back to the infirmary!"
"Um, I know him a little..." She simply knew Xyden as the male naga. But that wasn't important, as now it seemed spies were afoot. She could imagine who; there was two armies just camping outside of the college. No doubt they sent their agents to steal college secrets. But Lucilia asked Meirin to get those needles... Surely she would understand, however, that this was much more important. Though she prayed that Grey would recover even if she's a bit late on the delivery. "Alright, let's go! If we're lucky, we might run into the spies ourselves and stop them." Meirin turned and began running, despite not knowing where the spies were. So instead she ran towards the courtyard, to reach the teacher's building and try to find anyone to help. But she found something else along the way.

When she arrived to the courtyard, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. A bear, attacking a student! Meirin didn't bother to try to analyze the situation, she just jumped in and attacked. The bear loomed over the fallen student, no doubt planning on eating him, but instead was met with Meirin's foot right onto the side of it's face. It was a large beast, but Meirin was no small human. This same kick was strong enough to fell the trees back at her home in the mountains, and she did not imagine that the bear's face would fair any better.
Meirin's gunna skin it and turn it into a rug.
So, maybe Meirin agrees to help Leith look for spies, finds a bear, and goes and attacks it? Cause who knows, maybe that bear is a spy.
Made a quick lunch break post.
Meirin was content to watch Lucilia fix Grey's broken arm. This was not the first time she ever saw someone being cut open to heal them, hence an saying she was taught; Give a knife to a doctor or a murderer, and both would use it differently. It was still a bit disturbing how casual the two were about it though. Soon Lucilia asked Meirin to fetch her some suturing needles at the infirmary. "Yes ma'am." She quietly left Lucilia's office and headed off towards the Infirmary. Along the way however, she nearly ran into Leith. He seemed to be in some sort of hurry. "Leith! You seem busy. What's wrong?"
I saw it coming a mile away. I was prepared for it, but it doesn't do anything to diminish the stupid. I'll be putting up a post soon.
