Richard smiled mildly to the detective; "Then, I'll be on my way.", said he, before turning around, and proceeding in walking out of the room; "Best of luck, Detective.", spoke back the professor, before disappearing down the hallway with the exception of the clacking of his dress shoes. As Richard walked down the hallway, his stomach low-key grumbled, having skipped lunch to attend the town hall meeting and speak with the detective. He was quite obviously hungry, but the considerable absence of people and the quiet of the community center was off-putting. The professor hadn't been exposed to the horrors that the rest of the town was likely facing, as he had been preoccupied with his talk.

As he made his way out, he'd stumbled over the idea of perhaps utilizing the college's literary resources for an in-depth study of the Book of Revelations, out of the odd, low-key internal obligation that spun in his stomach to assist with the ongoing investigation. He shook off the matter for the time-being, storing the idea in the back of his head, as food was on his mind, and was quite frankly tired of dealing with the investigation as it spun his mind, and made him quite agitated.

Eventually, Richard had made his way out of the community center, as he opened, and pushed through the community center's double door front entrance, and out into the parking lot. Whatever the condition of the exterior, (presumably, practically vacant, as indicated from the previous mentions of the community center's exterior), Richard made his way over to his 1985 BMW Sedan. Opening the door, he casually stepped in, and started the ignition. Richard then turned over his seat, placing a hand over the opposite seat's headrest, before inevitably placing the Sedan in reverse, and then subsequently backing out of the community center parking lot.
As he stood there speaking with the professor and Scarlett, he had been oblivious to the messages which had failed to reach his phone, of the horrors that were beginning to spread through town.

Of the hell which had become Silver Falls.

The professor's eyes slyly darted back and forth as the conversation ensued between the teen and the detective. As the two exchanged a few heated words, the professor merely stood by with his hands idly in his pockets; listening to the conversation like the man that he was, eavesdropping in plain sight. He wasn't planning on sticking around the facility for much longer. He originally had come by to introduce himself, to seem a bit more transparent with the detective, to familiarize himself with him in case he had any further questions, but also to assist the case with this strange internal urge that obliged him to do so.

As the teen turned her head, and proceeded in leaving the room. The professor saw the time to chime in; "Lovely weather we're having.", he said to the detective, as if to lighten the mood. Albeit, there was no smile or facial expression from the lukewarm professor, which lessened the effect to a degree.

"Now, detective; do you have any further questions?", he said, "If not, I'll wish you good luck in your investigation, and take my leave."

Right now we have plenty of interest, what kind of roles are people interested.

I'd like to go ahead and reserve place of Lord & the Eldest Son (for RP purposes).

Ideally we'd have;
* at least 2-3 sibling characters, sons/daughters of the Lord (teens-early 20s)
* perhaps a Lady of the House. (40s)
* a military captain of the Hold, trusted hand of the Lord (40s)

Any other roles can be discussed with me.

I would be interested in playing one of the sons of the Lord.

"Lucy, had a newfound interest in Biblical Mythology."

From the two participants in Donald's room, a voice had cut through the air and interrupted the regular flow of conversation. For those inside the room, a man had appeared in front of the doorway, as he slowly made his way inside the room with his hands in his pockets of his slacks. He leant against the frame of the open door.

"Particularly so, in the Book of Revelations.", the man continued, "I'm sure you're familiar with the title, Detective."

He rolled his tongue around in his mouth out of idleness; he hadn't planned on making a rude introduction of himself, alas, he simply saw an opportunity. In his pause from speaking, he inhaled once before resuming his introduction; "Now, I suppose I should introduce myself.", he continued, idly smiling at the notion of his poor manners, "My name is Dr. Richard Lester, but please, call me Richard; I am a Professor of Business Administration at North-Pacific University.", said the professor, as he reached forward with the gesture to shake the detective's hand.

Yeah, looks good.

He could either wait for the detective, or sate the hunger growing in the pit of his stomach, having missed lunch with the slotted time for the meeting.

He stood casually, nonchalantly against the wall parallel to the rest of the hallway of the Community Center; his calm, cool exterior gave the impression of Richard's utmost confidence, whilst ideas were always being tossed and exchanged inside his head. As he waited his turn, he exchanged a multitude of questions and inquiries for the detective. He wasn't an anxious man by any measure - at least, in the physical sense - but, was somewhat neurotic and obsessive in his thought patterns to no exterior reveal.

He saw the no-smoking sign from down the hallway, as his idle gaze wandered down the hallway. He half-debated in his head fucking off with the legal restrictions and lighting one up; he wasn't in the mood for the law's shit. It must've been somewhere in the eighties those signs started popping up in every community center or civil institution, he would probably need to read some book only one person could ever be bothered to write and no one else would dare read for the sake of sacrificing their boredom.

He idly tuned into the conversation, as it presumably happened behind closed doors; a word or two would likely be distinguishable, and any further speculation would require some effort of piecing of the puzzle together.

Well, that was a quick little presentation, wasn't it?

Here, he might've came this whole way in a near-death accident, just for some little slide show featuring a bag of yellow dust; that was partly annoying. Although, while an audience asked their questions and cried their concerns, Richard brooded pensively while he maintained the appearance of someone attentively listening; he couldn't think of any truly useful questions to ask the detective that he couldn't already answer himself, and that was because he hadn't come here to ask any questions in the first place. He had come here on his on own accord and personal principles, as if to prove himself as a parent that would care for his own child. He'd developed an odd attachment to this particular case. It was the only thing he could really think about, as it distracted him heavily.

And, the pit of his stomach churned and spun uneasily at the mere thought.

He had to clear his head. But, he knew he couldn't leave without first introducing himself to detective; Richard had an insatiable hunch that he was on the detective's bucket list, since he'd been in contact with Lucy just days before her death, as one of her professors for the upcoming fall semester.

He arose from his seat, and briskly walked around the outskirts of the theater. As the doors outside opened while he walked past, he couldn't ignore the near-indistinct chatter of something about the lumber mill being "overrun"? It sounded ridiculous, but he couldn't ignore the thought as it entered his head. Could it be possible the two vehicles he'd been driving next to earlier had something to do with the incident? The answer was that it was likely. likely, given all of the shenanigans in Silver Falls of late. Given his knowledge of the geography, the vehicle could've easily had come from the lumber mill, speeding into town through Graze street in whatever rush.

He wandered backstage to find the detective's room, and saw the same drama queen he'd seen make a scene out of the entire show. He swallowed his pride like a grown man, and made distance between himself and the doorway. He leant nonchalantly against the wall a good distance behind the adolescent, his head down as if to intentionally appear inconspicuous, as he waited his turn with the agent.

At this point, Richard must've been having a bad day - and he was.

Saturday was usually his favorite day of the week. But, here he was, with an almost near-death experience on his way here; all for some town hall meeting. The encounter at least got him out of his usual daily brooding about his family, but it was only made him a bit more grumpy; he'd come all this way to listen to some detective's speech he could've read in next morning's newspaper. The only reason he was still there, was because of Lucy. He knew her from a series of phone calls shortly before her death, as she was contacting her professors to familiarize herself with them. The homecoming queen's death made Richard compare her to his own kids - how would he feel if he were in the parents' shoes? Richard didn't want to imagine. As a result, he couldn't even muster himself to give his condolences to the family; he resented himself for that.

As everyone piled into the community center theater, Richard found himself a seat closer to the back of the stage than the front for reasons of personal preference. He still appeared with a tentative demeanor to the presenter, (in this case, the detective) as he introduced himself to the town and the new set of 'rules' in town. Richard would've mildly heard the roughhousing coming from outside, the inquisitive nature of the intelligent professor had him aimlessly wonder what was wrong with everyone today. Was it something about the weather? Had he inadvertently triggered a chain of events after being cut off by the Red Mustang from earlier, which caused the rest of the town to infectiously come into a bad mood? Really, it wasn't anymore of a ridiculous hypothesis than was the thought of anyone in Silver Falls being grouchy besides him; experience had taught him that.

He made eye contact with the people that were asking the questions, acknowledging what they were saying with the appropriate body language - until, he saw a particular adolescent rise from the crowd to give a speech. He was attentive for a moment, as she announced herself as a friend of Lucy's, but as she continued, Richard stopped paying attention and held his hand to his face. He didn't want this meeting to turn into a shit show.
