Crystal Gems: Forgotten Shards (Full)

Name
Tanzanite, Tanz for short

Gem
Tanzanite located on the right armpit

Appearance
Tanz is more on the masculine side on the spectrum, standing at a even six foot and having a lean body build. Tanz has deep blue colored hair that is done in dreads, though is usually held back in a ponytail most of the time, and a even darker blue colored skin. Also their are a few stray hairs on Tanz's chin. Tanz's eyes are a deep navy blue.

Weapon

Tanz summons a large war-hammer in combat. It is comically large, too large for a normal human to pick up and almost too large for some Gems to lift. The hammer has a Tanzanite gem on its face. Tanz is able to make his war-hammer double sided, a head on each end of the weapon, when need be.

Unique Abilities
Frost Manipulation- Tanz is able to produce and manipulate icy winds. As a side effect Tanz is also resistant to extreme cold temperatures
Enhanced Physical Prowers- Even by Gem standers Tanz is quite strong, agile, and quick, making Tanz quite suited for combat

Behavior
Quite the hardy soul, Tanz enjoys a good fight just as well as a joke among friends. Like wise Tanz is quite the fierce and loyal friend, ready to defend comrades even if it means getting hurt in the process. Tanz has a strong sense of duty, believing that if one could help another it is their responsibility for them to do so.

Origin
Tanz's beginnings are nothing to gawk at. Merely just another Gem that was sent out to scout for new planets to set up Kindergartens on, work not to be proud of. Well that all change when it came to Earth and the Rouse Quartz rebellion. Tanz jumped at the chance to stand up against the oppressive ways of the Homeworld and joined up with Rouse Quartz's Crystal Gems. Tanz made a excellent solider in the war, obtaining some major victories, unfortunately the triumphs meant little in the end. During one of the final battles of the war Tanz was tasked with taking out a war machine that was bound for the Crystal Gems' base of operations. To make a long hard story short in the end Tanz had the choices of letting the machine reach the base or go down with the ship... the choice was made and Tanz made sure that the other Crystal Gems would be able to fight another day.

ATTENTION: This RP is no longer taking others. If you have already expressed interest in either the interest check or here then feel free to apply, if not thank you for your interest but we are not accepting more characters at the moment.

"The site of one of the most brutal battles known to Gemkind, where countless gems were crushed into nothingness, where Rose Quartz and her army took their brave stand against the ruthlessness of their fellow Gems. Now only a field of wild berries that bury the tragedies of life times long forgotten, or so it seems. Under the colorful fields and the remnants of war something has began to stir, or rather someone. Gems that were long thought destroyed have begun to awaken after millenniums of slumber and find themselves in a world and time not their own. This is their story, our story."

This RP is about a group of Gems that once were part of Rouse Quartz's army who fought against the forces of the Homeworld Gems in the Gem Wars, but ended up taking severe damage during the last push of the war. Though they were not destroyed like many other Gems the damage they sustained caused them to have to retreat into their gems and heal, a process that took thousands of years. They have no knowledge of the events that transpired during the end of the war or the years that have followed it. Now that they are awake again they have to try and figure out what has exactly happened and what their places will be in this universe.

I planned on this being a character driven RP with the characters developing over time and trying to come to terms with what has exactly happened and what they have missed. That doesn't mean I don't plan on there being no action, a few Monster Gem fights, some trips into space, and maybe even a Homeworld Gem battle or two are all possible. As for the Crystal Gems, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, they do exist in this, but I did not plan on them being introduced too early so we could have some time to cement who our characters are first and let them get fleshed out a bit. But that is enough of that boring talk for now, it is time to move onto the fun part. Yes that is right my little gems it is time for.... *pause for dramatic effect* The Rules!!!

Da Rulez:
1. First off the time honored one for all RPs, no godmodding or powerplaying. If there are fights in the IC, and I hope there are, just try not to be like the kid on the play ground that says "You didn't hit me because of my super-duper-nothing-can-break shield was on!"
2. This one goes hand in hand with the first rule. When you are making a character don't go over board, like being a Gem warrior is one thing, but the secret child of Pearl and Rose who is also half fairy-whatever is something else altogether. We all keep that stuff in our respective fanfics thank you.
3. I don't mind drama in the IC, it's suppose to be there, but let's keep it out of the OOC, good vibes only dudes and dudettes
4. PG-13 guys, that goes for romance and fighting. No all out bloods baths in the IC and keep the serious romance in the PMs
5. Let us know if you're going to be gone for more than a day or so, I don't mind it just keeps people from being stuck in post lock
6. Put If every porkchop was perfect we wouldn't have hotdogs somewhere in your CS to show you read the rules

Casual it is then, I will put the OOC/IC up in the Casual section once I have it written up. Also @Pacifista that seems like it would work great, allows for some learning experience for the characters as they try to adapt to a strange new world and come to terms with the losses they may have had from the war. By the way I didn't plan on having this be a large group, up to five people max, hope that is okay for everyone

Hmmm I considered putting this in the Casual section, but me personally I've never been able to keep up with a High Casual standard. Though if others come along and ask for casual I have no problems moving this there

My recent discovery of the show Steven Universe came with the idea of starting a RP based on it, which only grew with me finally catching up to the recent episodes XD. Anywho the basic idea of the RP is that we would be playing as a group of Crystal Gems who are on earth. I have been debating between the two ideas of either us simply replacing the Crystal Gems from the show like an AU type deal or another idea I have been toying with is that we are Gems that were damaged during the Gem wars, you know those huge battles between the Crystal Gems and the other Gems a hundred or so years ago, and have only been awoken recently as it took that long for our gems to heal from the damage. The second idea would allow for interaction with the already existing gems like Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst, but I know some people are very touchy about altering the cannon so I was hoping to hammer out the details once I got a few people on bored. So there you have it, anybody interested?
