Cerin is able to tap into the primal and destructive powers of the dark. He can use this in a multitude of ways such as form constructs out of shadows, his most common constructs are a set of tentacles that can pull a person apart accompanied by demon like serpents with razor sharp fangs that can rip through flesh like paper. He is also able to step through shadows like a doorway and use them to transport him around. While in the dark Cerin is also faster, stronger, and more agile than a normal human, being able to take out a whole squad of men by himself. He is quite literally fueled by darkness, his wounds will heal themselves if he is in the dark likewise he can rely solely on darkness to sustain himself, not needing to eat or sleep when in the dark.
Dark Intentions
Cerin is able to look inside of a person's heart and see their deepest and darkest urges and secrets and amplify them. For example Cerin is able to turn a person who is slightly flirty into a complete sexual deviant or another with small anger issues into a bloodthirsty serial killer. He does this by whispering in their mind or if he has been using his powers on a person long enough all he has to do is simply be near them to manipulate them.
Occult Arts
Cerin has spent his whole life learning the ways of dark magic from wherever he could, be it other dark sorcerers or even from demons he summoned. Though the spells he cast aren't as powerful as his natural darkness powers they have their own uses. He mainly specializes in curses, such as covering someone in horrible boils or causing them to throw up blood.

The enteral enemy of the dark, the light. Cerin is unable to summon or create any one his constructs when a strong light source hits him, his manipulation abilities also become weaker. Not only that but he also is hurt by strong enough light sources, it feeling like a burning sting.

Cerin has of yet to be able to produce his own darkness, having to rely on what is available around him.

Appearance
Cerin is a tall fellow, standing at 6'4 in height, and has a lean body build. His skin is unnaturally pale and is covered in dark tattoos, them being various magical symbols. His hair is pitch black and long, save for on the left side of his head where it is shaved close to the scalp. His eyes are dark purple and what should actually be the whites of his eyes are actually black.

Costume
Cerin's costume is rather simple. He wears a black sleeveless trench coat over a sleeveless deep purple shirt along with black, slightly torn jeans and black combat boots.

Backstory
Cerin's beginnings are not simple ones, seeing as he is the result of years upon years of dark magical research done by a cult known as The Hearts Of The Void. This cult worshiped the being known as Eclipso, the first incarnation of the Spirit of Wrath who went rogue, and strived to find a way to free him from his prison inside the crystal known as the Heart Of Darkness. In an attempt to free him the cult implanted a shard of the Heart Of Darkness inside the leader of the cult Serana, but the result was actually her impregnation and the eventual birth of Cerin. Since then Cerin was raised to one day become the leader of the cult and release his father. He was taught the dark arts and soon realized his own personal powers. After years of dark deeds Cerin was eventually captured by Dr. Fate and was sent to the holding facility of Purgatory.

"You'd think after centuries of writing you'd be better at speaking English." Boogie said with a slight smirk as he listened to Abdul, he could already tell the old writer was trying to get under his skin. He may not have been a member of the thirteenth floor, but Boogie was more than use to the mind games that these spell slingers used. He himself was guilty of using such tactics back in his heyday, though for much darker reasons.

"I'm afraid I haven't been staying under anyone's bed save my own. Though I have been in quite a few lately, this Glamor does have some of its benefits." He chuckled as he pulled out his flask and brought it to his lips, taking a rather long swig. His pierced tongue danced over his lips as licked away the remain whiskey. "Oh I was never afraid of spring water, just not much of a swimmer myself."

"But that is enough of me, what about you Abdul? Still milking that whole author thing of yours for all it is worth?" Boogie said as he turned his attention to the rest of the crowd. "I have to assume it is nothing like the old days eh? The originals are usually the best.
