The Black Tide

When Eri said she didn't want stew Guyton nodded to a bucket full of days old chicken guts, potato skins, fish scales and god knows what else. "Ya know the rule. Don't like ma cooking ya get the scrapes." He said with a slight smirk before making his way over to the still bubbling pot. He grabbed two old bowls from near by and filled them up with stew he made his way to the table. He placed both bowls down, on have a chicken neck floating in it and the other having a leg and a breast. "Old Jamaican recipe, it has enough fire in it to put some real hair on your chest." He said before getting Eri off his leg and heading back to the pot.

Guyton looked down at Eri and let out a sigh when he realized he wasn't going to get her off of him. "I can't. Knowing these bumbaclots one of them is going to stab out a damn eye before dina and I can't be lost in the drink when that happens." He said while he began walking back towards his makeshift kitchen. He felt the rumbling from the girl's stomach against his leg. "Da stew should be done by now." He said while looking forward. He was almost to the kitchen when noticed the small figure approaching him. It was the man who dared question his cooking, Guy he thought his name was. His already stony expression seemed to harden when Guy kept approaching. Guyton said nothing to the man and let him hand Eri a book before heading off. Guyton then continued to the kitchen, with Eri still hugging his leg.

Marshall had entered the meeting room and promptly planted his boney rear in the closest seat he could find, kicking both his sandaled feet onto the table. He hadn't exactly gotten a full hold on the whole shifting from his hybrid to his human form yet so most of the time he walked around like a very bad twilight reject, though he didn't really care seeing as he wasn't much of a looker to begin with. He looked over the group for a second with a slight smirk on his face, he already snuck a peek on their personal files though he was only able to see the records of what they've been up to since they got to the base. On a great deal of restraint on Marshall's part he stayed quite as the doctor entered the room with another one of the test subjects close behind. He even stayed quite till after everyone got their questions out of the way, though he did smirk when the girl named Hitomi threatened the Alex guy. He even laughed when he caught on fire. "Whoa no one told me we were having a bon fire. I would of brought marshmallows." He said with a chuckle. He finally got up from his seat with a sly smile on his face. He looked at the remaining members in the room. "Guess it's time for use to turn into the governments next generation of kiddy killers. Wonder if they give out merit badges like the boy scouts." He said with another chuckle before putting his hands in his pockets and slowly heading out the room.

Guyton should of seen it coming, this not being the first time Eri refused to dismount him. He still had the sneer on his face but he let out a sigh this time when he grabbed the girl's collar again. "No I would cut your throat." He said before making sure he placed her on the deck. "Mainly because I'm sure the ship would sink because of the overload of rum that built up from you not drinking it." He said with his almost non existent smirk.

Guyton grew a sneer and let out a grunt when Eri quickly scaled his body to his shoulders. "How many damn times do I have tell you I'm not a damn tree!" He said with a irritated tone before reaching up and grabbing the back of the girls collar. He pulled her off of him and held her at eye level by her collar. "Ya are on a ship of trained killers and pillagers, half of which would slit your throat if they thought they'd get paid for it. You don't get to be bored." He said in his normal stern tone before placing Eri back on the ground.

Guyton rolled his eyes when Eri informed him about the captain. "Of course not like there is a ship to command or anything." He said with his normal steely tone. He found himself leaning against the rail again as Eri made her way off to find Jimmy. Guyton couldn't help but be reminded of the monkeys that commandeered the jungle around his old hut as he watched the girl effortlessly jump from cannon to cannon. But quickly pulled out of his reminiscing when he noticed Eri making her way back. He stood up again only to have the girl to shove his arm, though it didn't even make him budge any. Guyton give her a glare for a moment before ruffling the girl's hair. He gave her a very slight smile, though it only last for a moment it was more than most of the people on the ship would get from him.
