World Long Gone

Intro

After conflicts puled at the strings of peace, the world is thrown into yet another war. Nuclear weapons were unleashed upon millions and when those failed to wipe out the population, countries began creating biological weapons that they released into the populous. After countless attempts to destroy life as everyone knew it, they finally succeeded. With the death toll in the billions. who knows how many are left alive or what kind of abominations preside in the now crumbled and overgrown cities.

Background

As the government fell, different "republics" rose, but as all things that rise they quickly fell when the biological warfare began. Thousands got sick or died instantly, but many survived it. Through those survivors, the sanctions lived on. Many took on fellow survivors and integrated them into their groups. These groups slowly turned to gangs, or specified sanctions. The few that reside outside of gangs are left to fend for themselves, but most get pulled into gang camps for integration.
After a few years, the earthquakes have finally subsided and the ocean has overtaken back some on the land in the costal cities. Towns are now empty and cities are full of death. Radiation still holds residence in the major cities and capitols.

As a survivor, gang member, or wonderer everyone has to fight to survive. Confrontations tend to be deadly and cities are dead zones. Every turn can be suspenseful or even lead to something dangerous. Beware the wonderers in the middle of the cities, they may seem dead but they still roam.

Nikolai woke up and took down his tent as quietly as he could. "She left the dragon, I can just catch it then I have those beautiful scales." he said to himself as he closed his eyes imagining a scale cloak or scale embroidered boots. "Oh how that would be lovely."

Nikolai grabbed up his pack and snuck over to their camp. "Where ae you, you scaly little creature?" He looked around the tents then finally decided to check inside them. The first one he peaked into there was a sleeping woman. Carefully and quietly he checked the next one without waking her and found the dragon sleeping on the floor next to the blankets. Nikolai quietly grabbed a blanket and wrapped the dragon up in it quickly.

Seralth growled and clawed at the blanket and tried to get out. Nikolai took her and ran out of the tent. "Alright, now let's get you out of here." he said to himself.

Sounds good! Any estimation on when the OOC will be up, or if it will be up? I know it's a little early, but hey you seem to be getting quite a good amount of interest.

Appearance/Description
Nikolai is 6'2" and handsome through every inch. He is a against fighting, due to the fact that he likes to keep himself pristine looking. Appearance is everything to him, even commenting on soldiers' armor or hygiene at times. He has long but trimmed, pulled back, blonde, brown hair with hazel eyes. He has a muscular build and the body of a soldier.

Backstory/Bio
Nikolai lived in Onyxia for all of his life, leaving on occasion to see new places. As a boy, Nikolai was still all about appearance, staying out of the mud and dirty place. He wasn't like the other boys in Onyxia that loved mud pies and everything messy. Nikolai took up and apprenticeship at a barber shop and learned how to keep himself practically pristine.

As he grew older Nikolai made sure to keep up his appearance, as he began to help everyone one else. His mentor grew very ill and had no sons or daughters to give his shop to so told Nikolai to keep it running and gave him the deed to the shop. As he ran the shop he expanded it to be an inn as well. This made him enough money to buy the nicest garb in Onyxia, keeping him satisfied.

When the war broke out, soldiers started staying in his inn but his business was starting to fail. The soldiers scared the townspeople so they began to go less and the soldiers barely paid what they owed. Nikolai soon ran out of money to keep up with new garb and slowly ran out of business. Having close to no money at all Nikolai met a traveling mage on his way out of Onyxia. The mage offered to take him under his wing after telling Nikolai he had a source of power within. Having no other options Nikolai accepted and travelled with the mage and learned all he could from the man.

After years and Nikolai was fully grown, he returned to Onyxia and the woods around the beautiful city. As he travelled back he saw a curious little elf that sparkled with dragon scales. Captivated by the beauty of them he ran over to her and asked her why he could buy some. Finding out they weren't for sale or any store, he walked away disappointed, until the little elf told him she had some and she would be willing to give them to him with no cost, as a gift instead. He took the gracious gift and thanked her, returning back to his home and embroidering them into his cloak.

Wanting more he went back to the forest where he found the she-elf, but she was gone. Though he found a cave and watched as she walked out for a hunt. Staying out of site he watched as she had a confrontation with a solider and followed them to their camp. Every time they went somewhere Nikolai was not far behind, craving more dragon scales and finding out that they came from a pet dragon she had accompany her on her journeys.

Garb
Thick, black cloak with light leather armor. He was given iron forged armor by a soldier passing by after a battle, but wasn't impressed by it so had a smith customize it with his own insignia engraved into the chest plate and embroidered with jewels, even though the jewels weren't his favorite rare ones.

Personality
He has a passion for sarcastic comebacks and one-liners. He is impartial to physical activity, not liking it but not disliking it either. Nikolai is very curious, energetic, and one men should watch out for. When he finds himself a looker, he can be a bit passionate with his flirting. He is respectful and will mind boundaries, however will be a little pushy if he is drunk. She Nikolai is very passionate, sometimes in a fiery way, and loving.

The battlefield is the only thing Nikolai does not exceed in. He can protect himself but he does not favor taking lives. He tries to avoid making enemies, but sometimes his sarcasm gets in the way and he gets himself in a heap of trouble.

Nikolai loves himself a drink or five on occasion, however has long sober streaks. When he is drunk he is even more rowdy and tends to go to far around fellow men, meaning it all in good fun.
