To clarify:

She is Master of the Flag because she has inherited it through lineage.

She is a Warbringer because she participated in a war.

That is how the Hataga clan works. They are nothing to do with the ninja world. It isn't something you can compare in the fashion that you did, Beta. Shira doesn't possess those titles because of any inherent skill or achievement - she was born with one, and participated in war to receive the other.

So by THAT logic, half the characters in the RP have the title of Warbringer. Neat. I'll update my CS when I feel the desire to do so. It still stands to reason that Genin really shouldn't have titles, but what the fuck ever.

Tuuj's post made me realize something. A Genin with a title is a stupid concept... especially given the setting.

A Genin... with no real prior combat training and few useful techniques... in a war... in the case of Shira for example as the post is fresh in my mind, would barely be Master of the Breakfast Burrito, let alone Master of a Flag. And "Warbringer"? If Shira's a Warbringer, Kirugetsu is a Planet-Killer. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, mind you. I'm simply stating what would be logical. It's just silly to have a Genin with ANY titles whatsoever in this setting, really. So this is more an observation on Genin as a whole, more than it is a beef with Tuuj's character specifically.

So if I may be so bold as to make a suggestion... I think that Genin really shouldn't be allowed to have titles. Chunin, maybe. Jounin, sure. But not Genin.

I am sorry, everyone. I just... I've lost my inspiration to do anything for Mass Effect at the moment. It's nothing anyone here has done, it's just writer's block and my depression rearing its ugly head. So I'll be dipping out on this for the time being. I may return down the road, and will keep my subscription.

If anyone wants to use Tallin as an NPC, as an ally, as a contact, etc... feel free to do so. I DID have high hopes for him, after all.
