Bio

Long timer roleplayer, been at it for... god, almost 15 years now all told. Hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but I like to think I've improved somewhat steadily as time has gone on.

I generally like to play older characters, or at least toward the higher end of an age range. Also, just about all of my characters are caring and protective in some capacity, even the rare meanie that I make.

I play a mixture of male and female characters. I myself am a guy.

Generally speaking I try to post at least once per week.

@suku Were you still interested in that ruins thing with Annabeth? Because I can still come up with something for it, unless you've already had her get involved in something else.
Well, I must express my deepest apologies. It would seem I've allowed work to get the better of me, of late. I'll put some time on thinking up something for those ruins and, if we'd still like to go that way, I can chain up a post for Akatsuki and Annabeth?

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

The sound of someone at the door of her apartment woke Sophie up from her rest, with no small amount of disgruntlement on her part. Falling asleep after her night shift job was hard enough without someone ruining it after 3 lousy hours. Who on earth would be bothering her, anyway? She'd specifically chosen this apartment complex in this part of Boston because, supposedly, nobody ever bothered with it.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Just a minute!" she yelled as she swung herself out of bed and pulled on a pair of pants. It was a gloomy, overcast morning in the Walking City, she noted, as she made her way to the door. "This had better be good..." she muttered.

She cracked the door open and immediately wish she hadn't. Standing there were two middle aged men, all smiles and sunshine, wearing their Sunday best, and holding bibles in their hand. Great. "Hello ma'am," one of them began with that overly cheery tone that only grinded on Sophie's sleepy nerves, "We're here to-"

"Christian, Mormon, or Jo-Ho?" she asked bitterly, cutting him off.

"Umm... excuse me?"

"Christian. Latter-Day Saints. Or Jehova's Witnesses."

"Well, we're here to-"

"Just answer the question."

"Uh... Mormon. We're Mormons."

"I see. Well, let me tell you both something to take back to whatever place runs your organization around here. I'm not interested. I never will be interested. And even if I was interested, you don't want me. Good day."

"But, ma'am-"

"I. Said. Good day." she responded with some bite to her voice and a slam of the door. She leaned against the door then, trying to calm the combination between tiredness and frustration. A few minutes later, when she was sure the men had gone by, she trooped back to her bed. But, as she tried to fall asleep again time after time, the images returned. Flames searing against her mind's eye. The memory of the rubble coming down around her. But most of all, the screams... the screams of her friends, the people who understood her, echoing in her ear as they died. It was the screams that refused to let her sleep. And rather than fight it, she supposed, it was better to just get up and find something to do around the house. Maybe she'd tire herself out enough to take a peaceful nap before work, if she was lucky?

She scoffed at that notion and went to the closet to find a cleaning rag for the kitchen counter.

Alex Mercede

"Hmm. Ooookay, if he's not coming through there, he's probably turtling..." Alex murmered to himself as he sat in front of his personal computer that he brought to work for the sake of playing games when he had nothing better to do. He'd already typed up the spare reports he needed to and thus far nobody had needed any programming assistance. Which meant he was left to sit here and toy with "N00bD3str0y3r" here as his mental warm-up.

"Okay, so if I send you guys this way, and the rest of the tanks that way, he'll have to deal with a pincer and I can have some fun. Let's just do that, then..."

“Would Miss Autumn Page, Miss Cassie Anderson, Miss Niah Bautista, Mr. Neil Maxwell, Mr. Brandon Hearne, Mr. Andor Lund, and Mr. Alex Mercede please come to the director’s office? I have missions for all of you.” blared the PA system, taking him out of his focus briefly.

"Or not. Sorry mate, can't afford to make this take any longer."

And with that, Alex scrolled over, selected the large aerial attack force he had spent the whole match building while his ground troops fought to the D3str0y3r's base, and sent them flying over to end the match in one fell swoop of bombs, missiles, and gunfire. There was nothing that was going to stop him; he knew there wasn't any anti-air available based on what he'd fought on the way in, which meant he could freely hum Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" as he walked away.

A few minutes later he was bringing up the rear of the progression into the Director's office. "Director. Cassie." he said, giving a nod of recognition to his boss and one of his kindred spirits from around the office. "Well, seems we're all here. What's the scoop?"

I will be posting later today (the 25th) in between work shifts.
My apologies for the tardiness, but there is my post.
Annabeth Justenfant

The Guild Hall was a rowdy, cacophonous mess of activity, same as any other day. Sometimes Annabeth wondered why anybody thought combining every Guild in Fiore under one roof on a daily basis was a good idea. The fact the building was still standing was, in her mind, nothing short of miraculous. But then, that was partially her responsibility; she was, after all, one of the S-Class mages, and that meant she was expected to help keep the building in one piece as best she could. Though that didn't mean she had to like it, she thought, as a group of four mages began to start brawling with one another at a table nearby where she was peacefully eating. Initially, it was alright- just fists and boots, nothing dangerous. Brief, comical fisticuffs were usually not the issue.

And then one of them threw a fireball.

Annabeth smelled the spell before it even fully formed in his hand; fire magic always had this odd sort of burning scent that went before it, and she was very acutely aware of that. The torch bolt went wide of its target, but just as the others began to call up magical counterattacks they were all stopped by an ornate spear flying through the air and impaling itself in the middle of their fight. A second after, Annabeth appeared next to it, standing in between them. "I certainly hope," she said in a polite but firm tone that had all the feeling of a disappointed mother, "That I didn't just see any offensive magic about to be cast. Because I'm certain such fine, upstanding young mages are aware of the Guild Hall rules, and would never, ever break them by using magic against one another outside of the sparring ring. Riiiiiight, boys?"

The color drained from the faces of all four lads as they sheepishly apologized. While she was not the strongest mage in the Wizards, the threat of an angry Anna was still quite potent as an enforcement tool. But, then, there was also her sweet side. "Good!" she exclaimed as she smiled and patted each of them on the head, "Because the last thing we want is any of you getting hurt. Go on, get back to the table, your food's all getting cold."

Mages these days. rang a voice in her head that only she could hear, They're all so quick to reach for the mana. What ever happened to talking about your problems?

This, coming from a mystical artifact for the express purpose of solving problems with his pointy end?

I was a last resort, and I solved any problem I was confronted by with dignity! I didn't Magic Missile first and ask questions if anything was still alive! By the by, it seems there's someone over there looking for you.

"Hmm?" she asked as she turned her head about. Sure enough, there was Akatsuki, waving at her as she tried to edge through the bustling crowd. "Ah, there we are. Thanks, Gungnir."

At your service, Mistress.

By then, the teenage lady had made her way over, and Annabeth greeted her with a smile. "Miss Kawashiro! What can I do for you, hmm?"

@Suku
Ah, there it is. Okay then, let me see here...
