Akane smiled lightly as she heard Iris defend her stupid idea. She knew it was a stupid idea, or at least knew it was a stupid idea once people let her know it was a stupid idea. But it was nice of Iris to still defend her. Though as things began to devolve into snide remarks and foul language Akane peeked her head out from behind Iris to figure out what was actually going on.

A bit stunned at the tension and volatility in the room. Not wanting to get involved and finally having the suits done she decided the wisest and most honorable next steps were too straight flee the situation. Akane softly tugged on Iris' hand that she still held before releasing it.

"Race you!" She declared with a mischievous grin before immediately bolting towards the room withe suits, feet tapping across the ground in quick, rhythmic patterns as she nearly bounded across the room.

Location: Jurassic Room.
Skills: Orbis Luminis.

Panic was the first thing that set in as the room swirled and distorted out of focus; reforming into a large doorless room with... a Tyrannosaur?! Her breath caught in her throat from fear as she instinctively took a couple steps away from the creature. Though her eyes quickly found the rapid movements of Casey first with others soon following after her. Taking on this huge creature as if it was no threat at all. Just another monday in the office.

Forcing action to her hand she struck herself across the face with a slap, hoping the action would snap her out of her locked muscles. Overwhelmed for a moment by the sting left on her cheek she was able to finally refocus her mind. She took a deep breath to steady her nerves, hearing as Vertigo called out her actions. It was blind, that was good at least. Though minimal it helped her gain some confidence in their situation. And it was time to stop acting like little testicles! (weak and sensitive)

She closed her eyes as she stood straight, arms reaching out away from her at the sides with her palms flat and perpendicular with the earth beneath her feet. Sparks of light began to flash down her forearms towards her flat palms; beginning to form small bright orbs seemingly floating an inch away from her skin. The orbs appeared to pull thin streaks of light towards them from out of the air, as if they were magnets for the light.

"Orbis Luminis." She breathed calmly out the words, and as the activation words were spoken the small orbs of light seemed to instantly doubled in size; more rapidly drawing light into them.

Slowly Jolene moved her still out stretched arms to reach out in front of herself, the balls of light now seeming to create a pull against each other, creating a sort of tether connecting them. Jo then opened her eyes, them seeming to glow a particular mystic blue color. She then swiftly flicked her arms in opposite directions causing the orbs to spin freely in mid air. Jolene then created fists over her chest, slowly moving her fists towards each other and seemingly the spinning, floating orbs were coming closer together as well. As Jolene's fist touched fist the orbs slammed into each other, creating a wide vortex of light that swirled rapidly in the air. Slowly as Jolene held her stance the vortex began to pull into itself and eventually forming a solid disk of light in front of Jo. She then, in a quick motion, snapped her touching fists away and apparently breaking the disk of solid light into two separate disks.

While Jolene was still connected to Vertigo with the Bolster Rune she began to spill power into her Ally, a steady stream of energy filling Vertigo with improved strength.

With another deep breath Jolene was ready. Using the distraction made by the attacking group she sprint to the side of the dinosaur, making sure to move within six feet of it so to use her disks of light. As she closed the distance Jolene threw one of her disks out and towards the ground, gliding inches above the ground. Focusing she followed the rhythm of the creatures steps. As its closest leg lifted Jolene intercepted it as it began to descend. Catching the Dinosaurs foot on her Disk she suddenly yanked it back towards herself. With the action pulling the leg out from under the creature and disrupting its balance.

The T-Rex roared out loudly as it began to teeter, beginning to fall over. Jolene was about to cheer from her successful plan but the realization that the creature was falling towards her interrupted that. In a startled panicked Jo quickly spun on her heels to run away from the falling beast, diving far and crashing into a sans graceful roll across the hard floor; clearing the distance and avoiding getting crushed. Leaving little time Jo scurried across the ground to give herself even more distance from the fallen Beast before getting back on her feet and facing it again, spinning Disks of light at the reason.

Everyone was talking so much. So many ideas were being thrown around it was hard to keep track of what the plan was and what was theory crafting. Her head was in a tizzy. Trying to sort through all that was said and trying to forget the random thought paths constantly popping up in her mind after each statement. Akane didn't do well in large groups with near everyone talking. It made her dizzy. Every comment sending her thoughts down a wild path before snapping back to the conversation only to be thrown down another path of thoughts. Absent mindedly squeezing Iris' hand in a manner to keep herself grounded in the present; though with minuscule success.

"What if we, like, get all the hot peppers around the world and throw.. them.. nevermind.." Her voice trailed off, noticing as the more senior members looking absolutely dumbfounded by the ridiculousness of her idea was leading towards. All Akane' knows is that she once ate Curry that was way too spicy to be safe and it messed her up for a real long time.

Feeling embarrassed Akane slyly scooted herself behind Iris to hide. Deciding offering up ideas wasn't in the cards today for her.

Noticing the sound that Casey announced and the fact the rogue group wasn't paying much attention as they seeming to eagerly bicker amongst themselves. No decided to use the time to quickly craft the bolster rune on her palm. The rogue team didn't seem to be bad people. If they were they'd have attacked both Casey and herself the moment they entered the room. Instead they just disarmed them, not to mention they had spoke of the fact there were things kept from them from Gardner when they were given the task.

So if down the hall came a threat to them all the best she could do is give someone a boost. So as they bickered the the steps came closer Jo slyly pulled the pen from her pocket, knowing she couldn't sneakily take out her brush and ink. She slowly removed the cap and snapped the tip off the top of the plastic ink tube. Quickly, with the action engrained in her muscle memory she brushed the open tube of ink across her palm in practiced stroke. She peaked down at her palm and noticed a few lines that needed reinforcement. She quickly brushed and thickened the lines.

As soon as she finished stepped entered the room, her heart sank with concern until her eyes fell upon familiar figures. She let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank God." she breathed out the words in relief. She didn't know how the group would react to their entrance so she came up with a tactic. Jo casually walked to Elara and hugged the girl, the hand with the written rune lightly laid against the nape of Elara's neck. With a faint pinch against the girls skin the rune connected the two, a magical warmth radiate through Elara slightly; making Elara feel a sense of empowerment through her. While it was only barely active if things went sideways Jolene could pump Elara with magical power to increase her abilities.

Jo released Elara from the hug and addresses the room.

"They stated there is more going on than we were told. And I feel inclined to believe them. This whole thing seemed off since the start. But they haven't really told us their side of things. Except that the unconscious guy has his mind swapped and they're trying to correct the issue

Akane remained still by Iris' side as everyone spoke. She tried to pay attention to what everyone was saying but she was constantly catching her mind drifting on mindless thoughts that random statements sent her spiraling down weird rabbit holes. With a light shake of her head when she caught herself mentally drifting to refocus. Suddenly she heard Iris' familiar voice, her burning red eyes turning to look at her friend as she spoke.

She felt she missed something. What exactly was evil? She wanted to ask but felt it would be a bad look to admit she wasn't paying attention as well as she should have been. Maybe the coffee before leaving the mansion was a bad idea. But she loves coffee. LOVES coffee.

She noticed that Iris seemed a bit angered, instinctively reaching out to her and taking a hand in her own in a kind attempt to calm her. She didn't know why Iris was mad, but she assumed it best to defuse her heightened emotions.

It felt like it took only a long blink before the speedster seemed to disarm Casey of her handguns. Mentally scorning herself for not reading up more on her team mates to know whether or not Casey was not defenseless or not. Either way, current standings were even worse for the two of them. She sighed quietly to herself, feeling like they were more like hostages than security.

Jo stood out and relaxed herself out of her defensive stance. With a quick wave her her hands the floating disks of magic light dissipated into twinkling lights they slowly evaporated into nothing. They no longer offered her any comfort as they're situation seemed worse for ware.

"Alright. Yes, we weren't informed on any of this pertinent information. So why not enlighten us? Tell us why you're here? Certainly there's a reason." Jo questioned casually, trying to keep the situation on a level of casual and non-confrontational.

Akane knitted quietly during the plane ride towards Stark towers, sitting near the front in her x-men suit and already in her Red Oni form. A uniquely quiet moment for the girl as she let herself focus on the task instead of rambling whatever thought popped into her ADHD riddled head. So there she remained, looping soft threads into each other as her mind absently thought of the previous months. It had taken an emotional toll out of the girl. She was one of the few that were lucky enough to have avoided getting infected with the M-Pox. Though watching her friends suffer as they did wreaked havoc within her. Seeing them weak and in pain and being able to do nothing at all to alleviate it was taxing on her emotions. She did her best to remain helpful during that time, but ultimately it felt like it was never enough. Even now, after they were all better, she still felt guilty in some respect. She hides it well but it's a dark thought that persists uncomfortably in the back of her mind.

As she felt the plane begin it's descent she looked up from her small quilted piece of fabric, blinking a few times as the truly somber nature of the inside of the plane sunk in. She looked out the window over her shoulder, marveling at the pristine machinery beautiful displayed. She doubted it was only for show; it was Stark Tower after all, she was certain this wasn't even the good stuff.

Akane stood, using her hands to brush flat any wrinkles that had formed after sitting so long. She followed the group out and down the hallways until they found themselves filing into the large room. Her crimson eyes grew in utter shock at the array of heroes that filled the room before them. It was like all of her heroes were right there in front of her and she was suffering a sensory overload.

Eventually she anchored her head towards Iris, "Think it would be weird if I asked for their autographs...? Akane quietly breathed out the words, hoping she was quiet enough that only Iris could hear.

Though her attention didn't remain long enough before she was pulled towards something shiny nearly on the other side of the room. With a quiet ooh! Akane moved around the room along the far side until she happened up a small metal statuette, looking over in intently at all the small details. As she bounced from one shiny object to the next there seemed to be conversation going on between the groups as she completely missed.

Finally Akane took a look out of the glass wall, seeing the giant purple face looming in the sky down at the Earth. In rushed movements she tried to scurry away, though tripped over herself and pointed out to it.

"Holy shit! There's a face in the sky!" She stated frantically, looking back to the group to make sure they saw it as well. Though the unphased reactions of the group made it click that THAT was what was being spoken about and what Akane seemed to miss. Luckily Akane's cheeks were already bright red, so the blush of embarrassment would go unnoticed. Akane hurried back to her feet, awkwardly clearing her throat and fixing her uniform to regain any semblance of respect she might have had before that moment. With a quiet sorry to the room she awkwardly scooted herself back to stand beside Iris; remaining quietly and doing her best to pay attention to the meeting from this point on.

The sudden pop of a pistol discharging set a ringing in her ear, though left her coherent enough to decide on the action of diving away; using the gun shot as a distraction. Jo dove away from the blade at her neck and putting distance between herself and the rest of the group. She crashed into a roll and spun herself quickly back to her feet. She manipulated her light disks in front of herself as a shield between herself and the Rogue team.

Her eyes quickly scanned the group and noticed a fight was probably the worst decision that could be made. They were outnumbered by a staggering amount. And no matter how good Casey was they didn't stand a chance in this situation. So the best course of action was discourse.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Jo started, trying to get attention. "Let's all calm down. We didn't come here to fight. We came here to just talk and get you all to agree to come back and return company property. That was all." Jo stated as calmly and honestly as she could; conveniently leaving out the part about the 'by force if necessary' option given. Though she truly didn't find that an option, especially within this very situation

Jo felt her knees faintly buckle in startled fright at the shaky descent down towards the bottom floors of the facility. She never realized she hated elevators until this very day. And how truly she hated elevators right now. As the elevator finally rested at a conclusion on the bottom floor she mentally praised the mercy of whatever higher power protected her from this death trap.

As the door opened Jo looked out to see a long hallway, scattered with debris from what appears like the ceiling. She was about to step out into the hall but came to a precautious decision. Though she didn't see or hear anything she thought caution was the best tactic. Reaching down to the floor she took a baseball sized piece of rubble, winding back before throwing it as far down the hall as possible; crashing with a loud thud before skittering to an eventual stop down the hall.

Jo remained perfectly still as her eyes scanned the hall intently for any reaction to the sound she create. After a moment of no response she felt a little more confident they, for the time being, had nothing to worry about. She relaxed her floating disks of dulled light back behind her shoulder blades before stepping out into the hallway.

As she walked down the hall her eyes scanned the area's intently, taking special notice of the hole in the ceiling; seeing nothing of note from it. Focusing so much on her vision she didn't notice that her foot steps were creating the noise that they were. Down at the end of the hall she noticed an open door, without taking precaution she stepped through the doorway to take a look; thinking it was safe as there wasn't any sounds that alerted her immediately.

As her feet barely broke the threshold of the room she was instantly halted in her track, a blade snapping up to hover just in front of her throat. Her heart pounded in her chest as she feared for her life. Entirely stunned stiff as a board; terrified eyes peering to the side where the blade came from.
