Been on this site for 6 years, but was on the previous version that crashed. Found this site in its original stage not long after the fall of Quizilla forums.

It's satisfying when there are the students who want to learn- which I have an entire class of them- my favorite and the one I look forward to everyday. Then there's the class full of kids who don't give a flipping shit and I can't get squat done cause they'd rather talk and goof off than accomplish anything. If I commit suicide it will be because of that class.
So sorry for my prolonged absence. Just wanting to gouge my eyes out with a spoon is all.
"She used to try and do that too," Hotaru said to Larel's comment about being left in the dark, "But I got to the point where I wouldn't do what she asked until she told me why she was doing it because I kind of got tired of if not knowing what was going on or why," she glanced back to make sure there was no sign of Ovorion deciding to turn around. When they reached the edge of the village, she looked to see how far away the woods were from there before looking at Larel, "We're about to be very open targets, soooo dawdling might be a bad idea," she glanced back the way they came before running forwards, out in to the open space between them and the woods. She was hoping Ovorion wouldn't realize then that he was no were near his quarry and that hopefully he'd pursue in a completely different direction away from the village. They didn't need this monster on their tails while they were on the move.
When Larel and Hotaru reached right inside the tree line, Mera came back up from under the ground, dusting herself, "Well, this day has been far too exciting for my tastes," she mumbled, shaking her head, "That bastard is my uncle. He's one of those old, traditionalist gypsies who believe we're mightier and more worthy of existence than everything else," she rolled her eyes, "He considers himself some sort of deliverer of justice, through whatever means necessary. He also thinks creatures like vampires and werewolves are trash that should be prevented from populating through means of making them extinct. Probably half the reason your parents decided to find a way to hide who and what they were," Mera looked at Hotaru, though it was clear that it didn't really change her opinion on anything, "But it's why I was warning you to get away because I knew the second he figured out what you were he was going to come after you," she said before looking back towards the village, "We can head back there in the morning if you'd like, or after we rest, we can keep moving, but he'll be gone for sure before too long. He doesn't like staying near human villages longer than he has to."
She didn't mention why he was there because she wasn't entirely sure at that moment either why. He'd never been fond of her, but she didn't think he was still coming after her for taking Mary. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes.
"I'm not entirely sure either, so I guess we'll see how well that goes," Hotaru muttered when he said she could tell him what was going on. She glanced out the window and listened for a moment, "It sounds like he's passed us, but he's still close enough that I can hear him, so it might be best to wait," she murmured, before muttering something about hoping his hands melted off.
When it seemed like ages had passed the ground opened up and Mera came out about halfway, "He's far enough way for you to go. Get to the woods, and I'll explain what I can when we get there," she said to Larel, putting a hand up before he started asking questions, "I'll meet you there, get going," she told them before ducking back down and the ground closed behind her.
"There's our marching orders," Hotaru muttered, seeming a little annoyed at actually being ordered, but then she got up and started out of the house. She looked around, making sure she didn't hear him before starting quickly towards the edge of the village, running quickly. It was one thing that any military tended to hate the gypsies, probably because of the ones like the monster stomping his feet throughout the village at the moment, but to have gypsies coming after gypsies hit another level of craziness. Then the demons in the mix too and any vampires that might have been Tsuta's allies could still come after her too and it was all just stacking up. Not to mention anyone who wasn't Larel's friends either, whatever was in the north that awaited them. She kind of just wished things could go back to how they were when her biggest problem was her mother telling her she wasn't dressed nice enough.
"Yea, I wasn't planing on letting him get that close," Hotaru said as she kept moving forwards. Ovorion did indeed stumble and crash on the rooftops with Larel's barrage, but he shot out another fireball at that instant and it barreled after them and at the last second Hotaru ducked, staring in surprise as the ball crashed in to the building in front of them. She was mostly surprised because Sybil had screeched at her to duck, and now the demon was saying it was because she would be absolutely zero fun if she was a crispy critter. Plus she was still stuck inside her so she had zero intentions of dying.
"This is seriously getting old," Hotaru muttered before unleashing a clone of her own to face him if he kept coming before heading a few more houses forward, jumping down from the rooftops and rushing towards an old abandoned house, "This way," she called to Larel in case he hadn't followed. She went inside the house and once he was in, closed the door, "He'll assume we've kept running and keep going hopefully. He's not a natural user so he won't be able to sense us the way Mera would," She said as she sat down against the wall and sank to sit, breathing out a sigh, "We just can't get a moment, can we?"
Of course not, that just would be too easy.
"How many times do I have to say shut up before she'll do it, do you think?" She was talking to Larel, looking at him.
Mmmm, I don't think you'll ever actually be able to say it enough to convince me

"Are you sure it's this way?" Erin asked as they kept traveling.
"It's not going to be anywhere close by, else humans would have found it a long time ago," Raina pointed out.
"Maybe. But then again, humans don't go looking in places like this for anything because it's not exactly hospitable and there are things that would eat them faster than they could fight back," Mary pointed out as she took a breath, able to keep up easily enough with her older siblings. Though she looked young, she had a few centuries on her and was fit enough to run like this for a couple of days if need be.
But it wasn't needed. True to the directions they'd gotten from Mera, the ruins would be found within a few more minutes of their accelerated pace, having been pushing themselves harder forwards than they had since escaping their father the first time all those years ago. They found the dilapidated stone buildings with vines growing miles high on the walls and moss covering most of the ground, but the shelves were still full of their now rotting books. But those books were only half of the reasons they were there. The older siblings took their places on either end of the long room as Mary sat down in the middle.
None of them had the ability to decipher those books the way they needed to be to find the answers for getting rid of the demons. But Nero would find it within a matter of minutes after deducting which book would have his answers. Mary hoped in a place like this, where there ancestral roots would be strong and their ancestors spirits would be there to aid them, that she'd be able to find him and bring them to them through her to get the answers. She closed her eyes, sitting cross legged in the floors and she began to search.
So sorry I haven't replied in so long! I'll try and get on later and get my reply in there
Ovorion was clearly not pleased at Larel's little trick since it put his lackey out of order. The other he had brought with him had gone after Sola. He hadn't expected this kind of resistance. He looked back to Hotaru, who was looking for the best way to turn without letting him get behind her as she tried to escape. He growled angrily, reaching in to his bag, pulling out something that looked very similar to the artifact that Mera used, though it was more like a glove rather than just a piece that covered one of her fingers. There were multiple jewels on it and Hotaru scowled as she remembered that Mera told her, which showing her the bracelet she had used before, that the jewels were the souls of gypsies that had been captured. Either because that soul wasn't prepared to go on, as it had been for Ferran, or because they were forced to stay specifically to be put in to pieces like those- one of the major reasons there wasn't supposed to be more than one of each element. But the piece on his hand made it clear he'd captured the souls or stolen the souls of gypsies specifically to create a weapon. The jewels were red, which meant he was trying to harness fire, something Hotaru didn't want to get too close to if it wasn't in her own hands at this point. His hand caught on fire as he secured the glove and he threw the fireball at her.
Might wanna move.
Hotaru shot back up on to the rooftops, taking off, "Definitely time to go!" she called to Larel as he threw another, "Let's hope he doesn't have another one of those he suddenly remembers does earth too," she grumbled as she kept running, trying to put some serious distance between them.
He's pretty fast for a guy his size.
Hotaru glanced back to see Ovorion had jumped up on to the rooftops, not nearly as graceful as they were, but he was barreling after them nonetheless. Hotaru was hoping his misses weren't just flukes as he continued after her.
"She'll buy you a restaurant if we can get out of this without incident," Hotaru muttered lowly, starting back towards him, "Which if he decides to act on the suspicious look in his eyes, won't be the case," she caught Larel's arm and started towards the back exit. Right as they reached the back door, she heard the front door open again. She didn't glance back figuring it was him, "We should probably get away. If Mera thought that running was the best idea, and she gave me the red flowers that means he's a psycho, we should probably high tail it out of here," she suggested before jumping up on to the roof of the next building, starting to move away from the inn, Ovorion's bulking form came storming down the hallway.
"Hey, you!" he called out, "Get back here!"
Hotaru most definitely didn't plan on coming back to face him. Her head snapped to the side through when a vine reached out, grabbing her arm. It yanked her down, slamming her to the ground.
Oops. There's an earth user that ain't your friend.
"Shut up," Hotaru groaned aloud, trying to get up, but another vine wrapped around her, "Fuck this," She put her hands on the vines, setting them on fire before jumping away from them, only to see Ovorion storming out of the building, coming her way.
"Careful, sir," The cloaked gypsy called from the end of the alleyway, "She's got fire," he added before Ovorion turned to look at her.
"Well, damn," Hotaru sighed a bit as she quickly got back up, "Looks like we gotta squash the bug to prevent the bull from rampaging," she murmured
Ooooh clever analogy
"Shut up."
"You're lyiing!" Ovorion roared at the man behind the counter, slammming his fist on the counter. He looked like he was going to reach for him and Hotaru knew she'd get quite the lecture from Mera if she didn't at least try and stop him. She grabbed a kunai from her bag and flung it, and Ovorion began to rage even more as it slammed in to his hand.
Hotaru stepped out beforee he came storming, she didn't want him getting the innocent guests at the inn involved in his tantrum,, "I didn't realize children got to be so big these days," she said as she put her hands on her hips. However, she noticed the bright red flower pop out of the wall behind him and immediately got the message, "There aren't any gypsies here. They got tipped off and ran on ahead to the next town," she said, "So just leave."
"How would you know what their plans are," he growled, coming closer.
"Because I was enjoyingg a nice evening meal with some of them. They were just passing through as am I and we decided to enjoy each others company. One of them said they were told someonee was coming after them, though I never saw anyone talk to them, and they all got up and hurried out the door. Never saw aa group move that fast," Hotaru lied smoothly. It wasn't the first time while staying with Mera that she'd had to use a similar story and since there was still plenty of truth in it, most people never caught on to the fact she was lying.
Ovorion narrowed his eyes at Hotaru, clearly deliberating on whether or not her story was true, "How llong ago did they leave?" he finally demanded.
"About twenty minutes ago at best," she added.
"Why did you just attack me then?"
"BEcause you were about to harm someone who has nothing to do with the incident. Couldn't let that happen, now could I?"
Ovorion watched her, waiting for anyy sign that would give her away as lying before starting out of the building. Hotaru waited until the door closed before walking over towards the innkeeper, "Run," she whispered to him, ""Run and hide and do not return until you know that man is gone," she turned and pushed him forwards.
That shade of red on the flowers from Mera meant the person was irratioonal and a very dangerous threat. It was alwayss better to avoid a fight with the people she applied that flower too, but they usually always came swingging regardless of how well she lied to them. And at this pooint, she iimagined if he caught on to what she was, he would deem it necessary to deal with her as he was going to do with the human who didn''t give him what he wanted.

(Sorry for all the double letters. My ipad decided tthere needed to be more >_>)
Hotaru was awake, having been awake since Raina entered the room, but she decided to ignore whatever she was doing and tried to get back to sleep. She opened her eyes when she heard Mera exit through the window and slowly got up so she didn't wake Larel. She went over to the window and looked around, getting the understanding from the lack of any sign of her that Mera had slipped away. Running was usually not her first option, so Hotaru was mildly curious about what had driven her away. Of course, with everyone being at less than their best, she could understand avoiding a quarrel wherever possible. She leaned out the window, looking towards the other rooms. Seeing all the lights being out, she listened, trying to put her new-ish hearing abilities to use. "So it's just us," she mumbled when she didn't hear anyone. Something had sent the gypsy siblings running, so she didn't find it surprising that Kaori was nowhere to be found. She sighed, rubbing the back of her head, wondering what it could be. But she imagined the whole point of disappearing was so it wouldn't come aftter them and start something, so Hotaru decided the best plan of action was inaction. She went back to where she had been, sat back down, and tried to get back to sleep.

Mary glanced back the way they had come, hoping her mother had contacted Mera. Even in her beaten and battered state, her mother was strong enough to reach out to her children to make sure all of them where getting as far away from Ovorion as possible. It was rare that any earth user could see as far as Mera could, but it was better to be safer than not. She was worried about all of them- what if someone ratted out the group as a whole and he interroagated them about where they went? The sensation on her lips was still also adding to the list of things distracting her before Raina's voice created a sharp snap to reality.
"Hurry up, Mary!"
She looked to see she had fallen behind and rushed forwards. Travelling on their own allowed them to move a bit quicker, though their companions of late kept up easily enough.
"We're of no use back there getting caught by him. RIght now we have to get to that temple before those demons catch on to what we're doing. The bigger head start we have the better," Raina reminded her once she had caught up.
""R-right, sorry," Mary mumbled, taking a deep breath. Didn't help keep her mind on track.

Ovorion reached the village, though the sky would be at its darkest state by that point. He barked orders at the only remaining man with him to searching every place. The villagers he woke decided it best to stay indoors as the look on his face was murderous. Though he had no abilities like most of the children had, it was the same as with their fathr. He was a skilled fighter and could easily put them in their place if they were off guard for even a second. He got down from his horses, going towards the inn while his man quickly scanned the houses. He walked in, looking around before going to the front desk, interrogating the desk clerk for any signs of gypsies.
Hotaru heard the voice downstairs making the demands and she stood up and slipped from the room, hoping Larel wouldnt get upset if he woke before she got back, but she figured it would be a good practice to see who all was demanding to find their friends so she would know who to watch out for.
