Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

The two moved on in silence, Kevin now having his smoke. Zara wasn't sure if things between them were awkward, or if they both just didn't have a lot to say at the moment. It was quite an odd situation all together. Going on a two week long trip with a stranger for the promise of a large sum of money... Had she not been infected, she would have never agreed to an arrangement like that. Money or not. But desperation had a tendency to change your view on things.

As they walked the woman kept her eyes open for any movement around them. Though it was also useful to remain at least a little bit familiar with the environment. It was pretty much impossible for her to be aware of her surroundings when things got exciting. As once her feral side took over, her body basically reacted on instinct alone. Luckily Kevin was there as well, as otherwise she would have probably been screwed already when those raiders tried to ambush them.

As they walked Kevin decided to start talking to himself. Or at least that was what it sounded like. And his warnings about being paranoid showed a little as well it seemed. 'Contact left'. Sounded like military speak for 'something's coming from the left side', though of course there was nothing there. It was still better than contact indeed coming from the left side and neither of them noticing though. Now she just hoped any night time paranoia was kept at a minimum. Without a good night's sleep she would start feeling pretty crappy during the mornings.
Oh, that's easy to put in! Just have it be a really cold night. xD As for the fight...sure, why not! Haven't really done any long fights like that in my rp's, so could be fun. :P
HAving trouble thinking of what to post to be honest. ^^;; A little action would be good...
"A guild? Nah, not yet. I'm not making decisions that important on a whim. As most people have realized, we seem to be stuck in this world for at least quite some time. So I want to join a guild I actually like, you know." The man grinned and turned to Alakai again, prodding him a little. "How about you make a guild? I'll join you, and I think Kali would too. I'm sure I can find some more people as well." Alakai quickly shook his head at the suggestion. "Just thinking about it makes me nervous! I'm not the guild master type. I like small groups more..." "And planning every detail of dungeon encounters down to double digit hp and mana." Samuel chimed in, still grinning. "Well, if you do plan to join a guild or make one some time, give me a call. As for right now, I'm needed at the front gate in about half an hour. I agreed to tank for a party that's going out hunting crafting ingredients. See you two soon okay?" The man pretty much left as quickly as he joined them after that. Even though there didn't seem to be much haste behind his appointment yet.

"So...that was Samuel. The top tank in the guild we were both in in another game I played for a year or two called ArcheAge. I guess, as he said, I was kind of the planner behind the raids we did. Though it never felt that way to me." Back in that game he did all the planning ahead of time, since, just like during their spider boss fight, he tended to lose awareness about everything but what he was fighting if they were fighting any kind of hard enemy or boss.

"Uhm...anyway...I guess we'll be seeing him more often. I would feel pretty safe if he came with us to dungeons... So...ah...time for bed I guess?" He had finished his food already, and was taken aback enough about what had just happened that he didn't even realise Kali might still be eating.
I understand. :) It's not like my post speed has been that fast lately. :P
To Zara's surprise Kevin was actually pretty decent at massaging. People tended to use too little pressure, or were completely oblivious to where and how you had to massage. Yet he hit the right spots, and didn't treat her feet like she was a baby. Not that she wanted to admit that...she had heard stories of compliments like that being taken the wrong way. As if she would be 'interested' in him. And that was a line of thought she didn't want to follow through with. It was better for people like her to not get involved with anyone, as they'd just get hurt in the end. Or in the worst case, they'd die in rather unpleasant ways... Still, it made her wonder where he had picked up skills like these.

The woman noticed her cigarette was already almost gone when Kevin motioned for her other foot. She sighed, sucking back the last bit before tossing the filter away, keeping the smoke in her lungs for a bit, and slowly blowing it into the air again. "Just try not to shoot in my direction when that happens..." She replied, grinning a little bit. "Death by paranoid partner...kind of an embarrassing way to go considering the things I've survived so far." She did make a mental note that she might not get a proper night's sleep once or twice though. Something she wasn't looking forward to. But with any luck there was a very nice sum of money waiting for her. And if so, it would all be worth it.

Once Kevin was finished Zara put her boots back on again, ready to move on. Her feet of course still hurt a little. That was something a massage couldn't take away. But they did feel a lot better already. Plus that itch for a smoke had been taken care of as well. So there shouldn't be any more problems for the next few hours on her end, apart from her walking pace maybe. "Ready to go again. Lead the way~" She spoke, following right behind him as he did.
Zara raised a brow when Kevin not only agreed to having a smoke, but at the same time offered to massage her feet for her. She had figured he would want to have a smoke as well, though apparently he wasn't as addicted to the stuff as she was. She smirked, stretching out her leg towards him while already reaching for her smokes. "Go ahead. Can't say I've ever had a guy kneeling before me in any situation, but I certainly don't mind." The vampiress wasn't exactly shy about physical contact with the other sex. Plus this was just her feet, so no harm done either way. And considering that she would get to have a smoke in the mean time, who was she to reject his offer? Though if Kevin refused at this point she'd just continue herself. Either way was fine really.

The surprise on Zara's face was clearly visible when Kevin decided to set himself on fire. Or that was what it looked like to her at least. Though she made no mention of it. It was probably some kind of shaman thing, since he had implied that he was part of the flame cult, whatever that was. The water cult sounded easy enough to deal with, if at all needed. The thought of werewolves and bears sounded less appealing though. If the werewolves were anything like Kevin's transformation, then she'd rather not fight several of them at once to say the least. Heck, just one would likely give her trouble. Though maybe Kevin was able to go toe to toe with more than one of them. He didn't seem like your regular were-person at least. If there was such a thing as a regular one.

"I'd say being paranoid is better than being too relaxed in the wastelands..." She mused, having felt like they were being watched ever since Geoffrey's place had left their viewing distance. She figured it was just her imagining things, though it did keep her a little more on edge than usual. Sleeping might be a bit hard for her during the next few nights outside.
Didn't really think of anything like an event. We could do something, or we could leave that for after the skip as well. I was thinking that the first dungeon would be a beach one. I was just asking since you seemed to look forward to travelling to the next area a bit ago. And now we'd basically be skipping over that.
Oh, thought I had made you wait. Well, until Wednesday or the day after then! :P (If you can't find the time to post on Wednesday)
"Ricky huh...what should I call him then?" Zara asked, a bit curious about what this 'Ricky' and whomever was with him, were like. From the sound of things, Kevin's relationship with them was shaky at best. Then again, those were the kinds of people she had been dealing with for the past few years. So she would be able to handle herself if problems arose. "Of course my feet are bothering me. I'm not used to walking at all. Though this is as good a time as any to get my feet accustomed to it again. But since you suggested it, a short break will do. Just so I can massage my feet for a moment. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes." Massaging her feet helped a lot back when she was still a bartender. It was normal to be on her feet and walking about for up to 6 hours per day back then. And she got her neighbour to massage them after particularly active days. She still remembered some of the techniques the woman used back then.

Zara found a decently flat rock to sit on, and started taking off her boots. Already her feet felt relief just from not being stuck in her shoes any more. "Say, I could go for a smoke while we're at it." She spoke as she started to massage one of her feet. "Or at least, I don't like having to walk while smoking. Kills part of the enjoyment." She added, wondering if they even had time for that. Otherwise she might just smoke while walking though. It had been a few hours since they started walking, and that 'itch' had been bothering her for the last hour already. "As for asking questions...what am I supposed to expect from these shaman lands? The furthest I ever got from the city was Geoffrey's place, so...I have no clue what to expect out here." Surely he knew some of the details at least, him having that beast thing inside of him. It sounded pretty similar to what Zara had heard shamans did, at least. And he had to have learned it somewhere.
