Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

Taunie was too focused on the paper she was holding to hold any kind of conversation, so Ansel just occupied himself with the scenery outside of the window. Which is why he didn't notice the concerned expression on her face as she read what was on said paper. Once they arrived the man turned to the woman again, wondering if she was done yet. "So, you able to talk again or--" But before he could finish Taunie stood and hurriedly told him to go to her house. "Wha-? Hey wait! What's going on!" He called after her, but she was already gone. The dragonslayer grumbled a little, pondering for a brief moment about what to do. But Taunie had mentioned a fight, so there really was only one option to go with wasn't there? "Ah damn it..." He muttered, starting to run back towards the guild, as he was sure she'd be going there.

Once there Ansel could hardly believe what was happening in front of him. Some kind of giant robot thing was standing in the water just outside of the guild, and some group using magic was coming out of it, attacking the guild. "The hell is this!" He growled, rushing towards the action without hesitation. And just as he arrived, he saw Taunie getting hit by a magical bullet.

"Are you stupid?!" He yelled as he rushed towards her. "You guys want me to join the guild, yet you didn't even think to ask me?!" He scolded her angrily as he moved himself in front of her. "You really think I'm the kind of guy who'd just sit by and watch while shit like this is happening?!"

The man took a deep breath, turning his focus on the enemies now in front of him. Two of them were coming right at him and Taunie, and it looked like she was unable to defend herself for a little bit. "This is such a pain, but I guess I'll get a little serious for a while..." He grinned as he grabbed the goggles on his head, and put them over his eyes. They weren't some kind of fashion statement. In truth, his own magic affected him a little bit as well. Throwing around large amounts of rock and sand had the nasty side effect of getting sand in your eyes if you got too close. So when he had to fight seriously, he covered his to prevent that.

Once again the man inhaled deeply. "Earth dragon's-" A green magic circle formed in front of his mouth just before he breathed out again. "-Roar!" A storm of rocks and sand shot forth, towards the two oncoming attackers. And as if they were leaves blowing in the wind, both were blown backwards and into the water behind them.
Question, are either gajeel or natsu there as well or are they on a mission? If they're on a mission Ansel can be all like "You've still got me, a dragon slayer!!" :P
Heh, this sounds a lot like the plot from when Grimoire heart attacked Fairy Tail. Must bring back memories for Gajeel. :P
okay. :) Welcome back!
Taunie's story was quite a sad one. But not something unheard of either. He had heard stories of parents being a bit afraid of their children hurting themselves if they showed aptitude in magic. Not that his life was perfect. As a 17 year old teen, suddenly his father had just disappeared. The dragon he had relied on most of his life was suddenly nowhere to be found. Ansel might have been used to living away from civilisation, but only with his father to watch over him. It wasn't as bad as being the cause of the death of a sibling though.

For the rest of the ride was spent in silence. Though it only took a few more minutes to get to their destination. After that they walked through the forest for what seemed like several hours at least. To the point where Ansel was actually lost, and would have a hard time finding his way back.

However then their target came into view. A small log cabin and a camp site. The man followed Taunie's example and hid in the bushes with her. Then came a quick explanation of what the plan was. It sounded simple enough, if nothing went wrong. But in his experience, there was always a high chance of something going wrong with plans like these. "Sounds a bit boring, but I don't feel up to fighting them head on just yet. Give me a moment though...a wall that big requires a little preparation.

Ansel placed his hands on the ground and started to concentrate. All dragon slayers had some kind of special skill unique to their element. And for him that was the ability to sense the ground in a certain area. Where hard or soft rock was, if there were tunnels, things like that. Galzra was even able to sense any movement on the surface, but Ansel hadn't gotten that far yet. After about 10 seconds he looked up and nodded. "Okay, ready." He spoke, turning his gaze to Valier a moment later. "You can do it buddy. I'll be right over if need be." He reassured his feline friend, whom gave a nod in return. "Of course. Something like this is a simple task." Valier replied, before focusing on the camp site. Then a little bit later, when the least amount of people were outside and the ones that were weren't paying attention, the cat summoned his wings and flew towards the stands with scrolls on them as fast as he could.
I'll try posting tomorrow. Thank you for your patience! :)
I've caught the flu apparently, so my post is taking a little longer. Sorry.
Phew, big post... I had to get some plot relevant stuff in there so the post turned out larger than I expected. ^^;;

Luckily it seemed Oliver was quite adept at calming the angry woman down. Or at least calm enough to be reasoned with. The woman held up a broken top of a small bottle with the cork still in it. The anger was still quite clear on her face but it wasn't as bad as before. Probably because there was now the chance that she'd indeed get a replacement. "A healing potion. That's one gold and twenty-five silver! Judging by your armour and her staff you surely have the money to replace that." Sanguine frowned. A simple healing potion? That was it? That was what she was so angry about? The vampiress always had a hundred or two of those with her since Oliver's holy healing magic only hurt her. "A healing potion? I have one on me right now." She spoke, reaching into her bag of holding.

Out came a glass bottle crafted and formed so perfectly it almost looked like crystal. A fairly transparent red liquid was inside. The transparency of the liquid determined how strong it was. This one was a level one potion healing about 20 hp, similar to a cure moderate wounds. But she hadn't specified what kind of healing potion so Sanguine went with the lowest grade she had at the time. "Here, this should cover it." She spoke, handing it over. The woman stared at it for a few moments before looking at the two. "For now...but I'm going to have this appraised first. Otherwise I'll find you again." To Sanguine this meant something important. These potions were apparently close to what they had here. And a potion of this grade was apparently worth around 1 gold and 25 silver. Or maybe a grade below it or something.

"Sure sure...now if you'll excuse us, we're busy." Sanguine spoke with a sigh. This whole ordeal felt like a waste of time. Hopefully there wouldn't be more days like this in the adventurers guild. "So, time to pick a quest." Sanguine spoke, heading for the notice board once more. However as soon as she arrived there was a problem. Every single one of the notices was in a kind of writing she had never seen before. This was something she hadn't accounted for. She turned to Oliver and whispered a little nervously. "Well, this is a problem...I don't want to let on that we can't read this..."

It took her a bit longer before she decided to...just do something. Standing there for ages would probably look weird too. So the vampiress grabbed a random one from the board and turned around to head back to the guild master. Surely she could get some more information out of him.

"Caddoc, I'd like to know more about this quest." She spoke once arriving there. "Hm? Lass, ye cannae take tha' one. It be fer silv'r plates an' up onleh." Sanguine frowned slightly, quickly thinking of where to go from here. "I know... It's just, we may have copper plates now, but our abilities are far above that. I'm a-" Sanguine thought quickly. What lever of caster would be good in this world, but not too amazing? "-A third level caster, and my friend here is a warrior with some holy affinity of similar level." Describing the two of them as such felt like she was hugely underplaying their power, even for this world. But the gasps and turned heads that came from around the room quickly pushed that feeling away. Apparently a third level caster and warrior was quite amazing. Caddoc looked up in surprise as if studying the two more closely. Then a moment later he sighed and shook his head. "That may be true...but we're a proper organisation. Everyone has to follow the rules. Though if your achievements match what you just said you'll rise up to silver or even higher in a matter of weeks, depending on how many jobs you take." Sanguine gave a fake sigh, as if she sounded highly disappointed. Though in truth she was delighted that she had managed to avert the situation of them not being able to read in this country's alphabet. "Very well, then give us the most difficult copper plate quest you have." Caddoc nodded, looking a bit glas as well since the couple hadn't started trouble over having to do copper ranked quests. "I think I still 'ave a few tha' need reviewin' fer rankin's. I'll go check fer ya."
