Monster Hunter: In the Shadow of Black Wings [Jyoliod x Satoshi Kyou]

Quickly taking one of the maps and looking it closely remembering the advice his mentor gave him "you see this area?" he says to his partner pointing one location of the map "this is where the jaggies lair would be or least the great jaggi's lair if were lucky we wont find him though he usually isnt around this time of the year" as he realises he didnt introduce himself properly "oh right i forgot to tell you my name... my name is Ren Yoshigama call me Ren, looking forward to working with you" as he offered a handshake after intoducing himself

Ren walked to chest and noticed the large amount of first aid meds "i'll gladly take these... unless you need these more than i do?" he says before picking up most of them as he looks behind him noticing most of his items were on the ground and quickly picks up alot of it "aw man i forgot my healing items again i spend my entire savings preparing too" he gets up and loads up his normal bullets before looking at the map again "We are headed towards Area 4" he points forwards towards where area 4 is supposed to be ready to charge in

Ren a newbie hunter carrying his light bowgun which he found to be way heavier than expected walked towards the base camp of A.Steppe noticing his partner waiting for someone as he was quite a bit late since he as he usually would forgot where he was going.
before walking towards his partner at the base camp he looked at his quest paper which he was holding upside down

he approached his partner still holding the quest information upside down looking at the current surroundings and then started to ask his partner rudely forgetting to introduce himself "hey... uh... do you know what this quest information paper says?" noticeably his backpack was open and everything spilled out which were mostly meats and bullets but no sign of healing items even a set of armor as he started to speak to his new partner

alright im going to assume both of us get assigned the same quest and we go from there? ofcourse we have to not know each other from the start

12 days late but hello!

so erm... hello! this is me Kyou (or if you wish to call me by my usual username you can do that just ask for it)

im quite a bit late with this thread introducing myself
im a person who likes to design a world and write a story around it but sometimes i just rather just be a character in it since well im really bad at writing to be honest... (and also very shy when it comes to forums because i dont tend to post alot. p.s i still need to learn how to use a forum)
and i do like me some magic/fantasy, sci-fi or alternate modern times and sometimes mixing different genre's

like if someone would mind helping a new person out in the world of roleplaying (i tend to pretend im a different person in a mmo/chatroom so i dunno if this is anything different because its a forum)

so nice to meet you all. Satoshi Kyou out (Kyou would be the first name if anyone is asking and likely a character i will roleplay in some roleplays)

GM'ing for beginners?

So i dont know if this belongs here but im a new user here and i am not experienced with roleplaying (in forums) or anything of the sorts

so is there a difference in gm'ing and being a character in that roleplay or not or is that generally a bad idea for a beginner like me?

like im already building up a world and everything right now (you can ask me about it but im saving it for when im ready for it)
