Absolutely astounded... Blown away. Received the best feedback on any writing piece I've ever done and I honestly have no words to express how good it feels to see the work pay off.

Age is but a number. Attack helicopter years are slower than human years, so... that's why. It's like a dog saying he's older than you - duh, he ages at 7x the rate you do.
That's what you think.
FEAR THE VOID!!
Elijah stared at the woman in disbelief as she completely ignored him and started to look after her own concerns. It was like she was entirely unaffected by all of this? He resolved quickly that she must have accepted being locked away long before she was even captured. He rather assumed that for most Users, as they were all running out the clock until they were sent to the island. Still, to be so passive about the whole thing and to completely ignore him? When it came down to it, that was just rude. He started after her, trying to keep one eye on the unpredictable girl who had attacked him first.

"Hey, where the hell are you going?" He asked rather aggressively, "It's your fault I'm stuck here now and you're just going to walk away like that was your intention from the very beginning?" They hadn't traveled far at all, so he turned back to the drill-girl and called out, "Hey, where did you come from, anyway?" She had to be from somewhere - this place was rundown, sure, but she had to have some place nearby that she stayed. Otherwise she wouldn't be out wandering this far.
"WHAT?! He most certainly could not, you're nuts," He said with a shake of his head. "That's just... Nuh-uh, Dumbledore never fought a fekkin' Balrog. He only fought a dude without a nose."

The boy grinned victoriously as Sasha conceded to them getting food and couldn't help but laugh at her use of the word 'date.' Sometimes, she spoke too quickly for herself, but she wouldn't learn her lesson if he didn't tease her at least a little bit, right? "I'm a bothersome date? I'm sorry, have you gone out with you, Sashie?" He asked, sticking his tongue out, "I think I'm a very good date, thank you very much." They ordered their food and sat down. James really didn't need much - he'd had a rather large lunch and was enjoying the company more than he was hungry. His eyes ran over the crowd when Sasha looked out - did he ever look like that? Dear god, he hoped not. But at least they were having fun, so he nodded, "Home, yeah."

"Oh god, The Eye... Don't subject me to that Hell above Earth," He said with a laugh, shaking his head, "I get queasy looking up at it from the ground, let alone the other way. I can do planes, but for some reason... The wheels and the coasters... I just don't trust 'em. It's not that I think they'll break, it's just that it doesn't feel stable, even if it is," he admitted. "Why do you think I dodged as many of those trips as I could when we were kids? I'm enjoying my dinner, let's not make the guy in the seat below us enjoy it less than I am."

"Do you want some sauce?" he asked finally, seeming rather random. "Oh, sorry, I mean... for your hat. They tore the whole thing down - big building up now; they wanted to make classes smaller, but they had more and more kids going... So they got what they needed and they have a fekkin' campus now. Can you believe that? Like with a quad and buildings and stuff... Absolutely unfair," He said with a shake of his head, "I'd hardly call our tech ancient, but... Well, things are going so well out here that it's kind of hard for them not to spend their asses off on stuff like that, y'know?"

"Oh, speaking of annoying Americans and Asia..." James started, taking a second to finish his bite, "My cousin, Kendra, you know what happened to her? Fekkin' Japan. Like, not kidding, she's an ESL teacher at Tokyo. She's not even at some hoity toity school, she's teaching kids whose parents can't really afford to send them places where they have a really high curriculum, y'know? And she loves it. Keeps trying to get me to go out there and see her, but... God, the time, and everything out here is so hard to handle. Plus, I don't wanna leave Nathan behind so I can go live like that all of a sudden and taking him with me... Well, I love the kid, but I can't take him from his home for so long - he's too young for it," he explained with a shrug. "Plus, I couldn't stay with her. I love Kendra, I do, but dear god she can talk. And she's shown me pictures of her apartment, I'd never fit in there with her hogging all the space!" He laughed and sighed, relaxing into the bench. It was nice to catch up, really it was. Suddenly, he perked up, remembering that he had something he'd wanted to tell Sasha earlier, but it had completely slipped his mind once they started talking. Not that it was a particularly good or great thing, but it was still something to talk about.

"Hey, you remember that rock, out by our old neighbourhood?" He asked curiously, "I know you do. Anyway, I checked it out a while back... The entire development got finished - didn't take 'em as long as I thought it would. Whole place looks different, but uh... It's actually gone - the built right over that spot," He said with a bit of bittersweetness. It'd be weird, never being able to go back to there... He shrugged, "It was weird, though... Part o' me never thought they'd actually go that far. Dunno why."

Sorry this post is taking me longer than expected. :( I fell through a roof on Friday and all of my friends are suddenly messaging and asking to start RPs. XD Not that I'm complaining, but I'm hopping between a lot of them suddenly.
"There's a lot to think about. If you're in a gang, the last thing I want is a bunch more of you chasing after me. And even if you're not, how would it look if I murdered some kid on my first day out here? It would mean I'm no better than you people," He pointed out, leaning forward, "And I'm certainly better than you... Don't worry, this just means I'm not killing right now. Piss me off too much more and I'll make sure nobody hears your pathetic screams," The man spat, not trusting her enough yet to stand or let her go.

Wait... Eli furrowed his brow, she didn't have a group? "If you're not in one, then again, why would you go around attacking people? That's just stupid," he said, finally rising and pulling his weight off of her, keeping his own drill-tail ready. She may have been altered by her time here, but the girl was still young, she could change. She might not be able to de-mutate so easily, but that didn't mean she couldn't use her ability to stop help stop the Users who criminalized them all in the first place.

"Get up and either leave or hang around - but it's inadvisable to try a third attack, at least for your sake," he explained dismissively, taking a few steps away from her without turning around, his muscles tense and his eyes not leaving her for a moment before he stepped out of the container and into the ruined city. He wanted to get a bearing on his surroundings, but he couldn't very well do that when a girl full of bloodlust was right there in front of him. However, Elijah was able to spare a quick glance around to see if anybody else was on the offensive and called to the other container. "Hey, you in there?!" He asked, several feet to the side of the entrance, his gaze shifting back to the driller girl warily. He just wanted to get the hell out of this place...
"Wrong." He grit his teeth and launched into her as she attacked once again. It was hardly unpredictable at this point, what with her constant attitude shifting. A loud clang would ring out whenever the two drills met in the air, blocking her advances as sparks flew from their contact points. Each of her attacks by hand or foot were quite easily parried, save for one which caught him by surprise as it landed into the square of his jaw; it was keeping up with that damned tail of hers that was the problem. As she threw a punch, recovering her balance by jabbing the floor, he reached forward and took hold of her small wrist before ducking, turning and rolling her directly over his back.

The drill he'd "stolen" from her stopped humming as he ground the spin to a halt and pressed it heavily down at the base of hers, pinning it to the floor. He spit to the side, a bit of blood joining it, "Sheesh, for such a small hand, you pack a heavier punch than it looks," He muttered before pressing his knees into her arms and placing a hand over her neck to hold her head in place, his other fist in the air. He stared for several moments, hand shaking overhead before he released her throat and let his arm fall to his side. No...

"I told you, you missed your chance, I'm not dying today. Not by your hand, at least," he stated in disgust, "The real question is what the fuck do I do with you now..." He wasn't really asking the question, more musing quietly to himself. What was he supposed to do if he didn't kill her? It's not like somebody her age would ever put up a fight against the UDF. They wouldn't even have a chance to against a whole squad of them, so killing was never an issue there. Adults? Easy. But to kill her? No, that would be incredulous. Plus, she mentioned a gang - if she's got a gang, then they're going to come after him.
