Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

Bio
I am Searat Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.
My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)
As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.
Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.
The dream ended and so did the young ratman's rest. Carefully opening an eye, he notices that he was still on the grass...and for some reason he can't seem to remember, he was also snuggling Mother Rat like how a child would to it's teddy bear. "Sorry." He says to Mother Rat as he finally releases her from the snuggle hug he had her in. After letting her escape, Ed sat up and groaned as his body was sore to say the least. He was sure that by the next day's dawn had arrived, his body would experience the full brunt of the physical activity he forced himself to go through. None the less, as he blinked away the sleep from his unexpected nap, he begins to rationalize the strange dream. He was unsure if it was a memory or if it was the time he was given a bird's eye view of the world when he evolved.
'Ok, ok...lets see if I can remember something like that.' The young ratman then knit his brows together as he tried to dig at his memory bank. 'It could be one of my memories of the hunting or camping trips dad and I go to sometimes. We always go to the woods near the outskirts of Twinbrook for those; but not many hills there though. Just a lot of trees, raccoons, and sometimes geese.' Ed frowned as he thought about the avian. 'Goddamn feathery assholes.' Ed does not like geese. Especially the Canadian variants.
After letting himself calm down a bit, he tries something out. He begins to focus on his own thoughts and contacts the System for a request. 'System, would you kindly perform an analysis on the most recent dream I experienced.' If he can't get a solid idea as to what the dream was, perhaps the seemingly omnipotent Sysyem may give him some answers.

The ranger hummed to himself contentedly as he maneuvered around the snow covered land. He had opted to scout ahead of the party and be the one to relay any significant information he came across. It was rather lonely to be honest, but that didn't mean that Oscar was not enjoying himself as he moved across the hills. It was just him and nature. Things were pretty alright.
That is until he stumbled upon something that caused a chill to run down his spine like no cold wind could ever hope to.
As he reached the peak of the tall hill, he discovered what remained of a caravan on the opposite foot of the hill. The broken remains of both man, animal, and cart were summat obscured by the snow. Likely from the snowstorm from last night. Stains from what he could only assume to be blood, had stained the pristine white of the snow with a number of recruits's unmoving bodies scattered about. At this distance, even he couldn't identify if any of them were still breathing or severely injured. Oscar took a step forward but stopped himself from moving any further. He wanted to help them; so much so that it almost physically hurt to turn back. But he was alone, and whatever caused this was still out there.
He couldn't risk it.
"Fuck..." He harshly whispered to himself, crouching down and holding the brim of his big hat to the point that his hands shook. The ranger had his duties to his party, and their safety and the success of the quest was paramount. Compared to the altruistic desire that begged him to do something to help, his responsibility to his party and quest was greater. Grimacing, Oscar stands from his crouching position and begins to run back to the group, not even daring to give a secondary look back to the tall hill. The feeling of frustration and shame grew each passing second and from every step he took.
The plan was effective! The villagers not only failed to notice Ed's little outburst, but also managed to bugger off without even realizing he was still alive. Goes to show how amazing his acting skill was.
Take that, Mrs. Arlington! Who's the stage hazard now!?
...but why hasn't Ed woken up? Oh god is he dead? Please no. Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseple-
*snrk!*
Oh thank God. He was just asleep.
It had seemed that the fatigue had finally caught up to the poor boy and took him when he had relaxed and closed his eyes. The gentle snoring was a sign that he had gone to a deep slumber. Likely for the next few hours or so considering how hard and how far Ed had pushed himself in the fight. As Mother Rat tried to inspected his body and touched him, his unconscious mind registered the small furry thing that was touching him was Cheeseburger, their family pet. The dog in question was a rather mean looking English bulldog that had an aura that he'd bite your face off in a heartbeat, but in truth, he was a complete marshmallow at heart; more likely to befriend a burglar and lead him to the shelf containing the doggie treats than do his job and bite that burglar on the ass.
None the less, Ed instinctively reached out to Mother rat and proceeded to snuggle with her. Muttering something about 'Cheeseburger being so small' and 'How'd he get into his room again' while rubbing his cheek on her soft fuzzy head. This was quite a big problem considering the mountain just exploded and they needed to get the hell out of there as soon as possible before more trouble finds them.

As the others of the party did their own things and tasks to do in the morning, Oscar went ahead and began walking to the traps and alarms he had laid out the previous night. Checking weather or not his more lethal traps caught or killed anything that was unfortunate enough to set off the aforementioned traps. None the less it was time to contemplate on how he was going to check if the creature's meat was edible in some way. There was currently no issue regarding food and supplies, as they were abundant as of now. But it never hurt to have emergency alternatives just in case something happens. One sure fire way to discern if it was safe to eat or not was just to eat it and see if there would be any adverse side effects, but the issue is that he was unsure if he was willing to let a member of his party get food poisoning just to see if the meat was edible or not. Though he did do the routine procedure of cleaning and skinning the creature before harvesting the meat.
The villagers had actually seen him not only carrying the great club away earlier, they also managed to see the bug he walloped too. For Chrissake. It was like a malevolent and omnipotent god took massive amounts of sadistic glee from his suffering. As if to turn up the heat, the ratman heard the duo spot him. His body went completely rigid as he dared not move a muscle or even breathe that hard. His heart raced so fast in his chest that it could put a F1 race car's engine to shame. The sweat that had slowly accumulated on his skin, just hidden by his bloody and muddy fur, felt like droplets of pure ice. 'Calm down, Ed. Calm down. If you break the ruse now, you'll be dead for real...AGAIN.' He tried to convince himself as he felt something poke his leg. As fate would have it, hope was dangled before him yet again as the sounds of rustling going the opposite direction alerted him that one of the humans were going away.
Then a sudden and tremendous explosion filled the air as the ground itself shook.
'HOLY FUCK!'
Holy Fuck indeed. Unwitnessed by the ratman playing dead, the very peak of the distant mountain was completely and utterly eradicated by God knows what; but to Ed, it was just a really loud explosion and sensation. He was panicking, his body had briefly jolted in natural reaction to the sudden and extremely loud sound. He had hoped that whatever caused that explosion and tremor had distracted the villager as well. But he had to repair the facade again. So Ed then visualized himself back in 3rd grade. It was the day for the big class play and he hadn't even bothered to read the script. No matter now and the show must go on! He wore his costume with what confidence that he could wing it and not screw up. He need only to focus only on his role.
On that day, there was no Edward Marsh. The only son of Aaron and Katherine Marsh was never on stage. There was only grass that day on the stage.
His superior acting method had emulated the very being of grass. Even to the point that he even accidentally caused a number of his classmates to trip over him as even they, his peers and friends, failed to detect that it was actually Edward in that costume. To everyone present.
There was only grass.

-Trying to keep cool. -Trying even harder to keep cool as he gets poked. -A faint hope appears, but it was only a trick of the light. -Mountsplosion causes Ed to instinctively jerk his body in reaction to the noise. -Had to repair the facade and Ed reached deep into his memories and imagined himself in his best acting role in his life. -There is no Ed. -Only grass.
@GreenGoat After helping his comrades up from their snowy tomb, Oscar encountered their leader just as she arrived to the bonfire. She had asked about the meat he had butchered from the creature. Wondering if it were edible. "Morning, Ettamri." He greets the tall woman as he walks past her and to the cart and scrounge through his Backpack and retrieves a bag of rabbit jerky and returns to the knightess. "I'm not sure if it's meat is edible, considering its my first time seeing the thing and all, so ought not to eat it. I'm not keen to give someone food poisoning. So before I can confirm it being safe to eat, its off limits. Okay?" The ranger then offers the whole bag of food to her. "But I understand that you are hungry. So here, a bag of rabbit jerky." It was understandable. Ettamri was the largest among all of them and it is only logical to conclude that she needs more food to keep her body functioning.
Plus this would be a good opportunity to form a good relationship with the knightess. She, Argen, and Siwon were the only ones he had a non-positive relationship with in the party. And if they were going to be together for a week, he might as well make a few new friends along the way.
Who knows? Maybe he would be adventuring with them some time after this mission...if they actually finish and survive the thing.
At normal strength and with the help of Asteria, Ed would have dealt with the bug in a couple of swings. But this was not the case. He was beyond the point of exhaustion and while his body no longer cried in pain at every movement, his body and limbs still felt like they were completely made of lead. Each strike was a feeble strike compared to his average and it took the young ratman a total of ten strikes to finally bring down the giant insect.
It was only after it died that Ed allowed his body to fall flat onto the blood stained grass beneath him. Ed finally earned a few moments of respite after a hard fought battle that demanded his 100% and then some. His heavy breathing caused the blades of grass in front of his muzzle to violently flutter back and forth against his ragged and labored breaths. He would have died then and there if Asteria was not there to help. He should thank her properly for that in the future, though for now he would hold his tongue and simply enjoy this brief few moments of placidity. In the passing of a few more moments, Ed was able to regain control of his breathing and regain a small fraction of his stamina back. It was in that span that Ed realized something terrible.
This wasn't a chance encounter.
These things were like the ants back in his native Earth. They followed the trail of pheromones left behind by the one they killed yesterday. If they killed them, even more would just come after. If these bugs were anything like the ants, they would number by the THOUSANDS...and those were just workers. A chance thought passed his mind: 'Things couldn't get any worse, can it?' And on cue, his ears swiveled and picked up the conversation between two individuals. Villagers most likely due to their fight not being the most discreet of fights. The young ratman closes his eyes for a brief moment and lets out a tired, weary sigh before slowly pushing himself up from the ground. 'Ain't no rest for the wicked, huh?' He mentally gripes to himself.
It take a herculean effort to lift himself off the ground and onto a sitting position. He began thinking of the possible solutions to their predicament. Escape was out of the question; Mother Rat had an observable limp and even if they could, his body still felt like it was made of lead. Fighting them, even at their peak state, was outright suicide. That only left one option...stealth and subterfuge. "Asteria. There are some villagers are closing in on us. I-I think they saw the bug I sent flying when I punched it. Place what you can in the Den, and hide with Mother Rat." Ed was still unsure on what he was going to do, but he had to try. Ed collects the discarded Flint and Striker and places it inside of the Den. He then approaches the bloodstained great club and tucks it underneath the grass, obscuring the weapon completely. Finally, Ed smears blood and dirt all over his body. Making sure that his slightly healed ass wound stayed clean before he lies near the three corpses and plays dead.
If he was lucky, the villagers would just put it off as monsters killing one another; leave it at that and go away. If not, nothing short of a miracle can save him as if they got close enough, they would see that he was still very much alive and breathing.

-Helps kill the Myrminor Worker finally manages to catch a small break. -Manages to regain a small fraction of his stamina back and realizes that this was not a chance encounter. -Realizes that Myrminors would be like native ants of Earth and killing one just brings more. -Things get worse and he hears the villagers approaching them. -Gripes but none the less formulates a plan and explains it to Asteria. -Gets the Flint and Striker and puts it inside of the den. -Hides the Kanabo underneath the grass and smears himself with blood and mud, but avoiding getting mud into his healing butt wound. -Positions himself near the three corpses and puts on an act that he is dead. -Hopes that if the villagers spot the place, they will see the scene and just leave it as a 'monsters killing monsters' type of event and go away. -If not...well then shit.
Ever since he finished his training under his mentor it had been ingrained in his behavior that he wake up at the same time every morning. And as per-usual Oscar, like clockwork, woke up at the early hours of the morning and quietly unwrapped himself out of his sleeping roll and nimbly maneuvered over the rest of his still slumbering companions. Once outside again, he began stretching and performing rudimentary exercises to both prepare his body for the long trek ahead as well as get the blood flowing and warming his body. With his morning exercises done with and he could feel his body temperature rising, he begins to put away his roll and obtain the rest of the dried strawberries and consume them for his breakfast meal. He only put aside a small piece of the food as an offering to Kur-Innus. He hoped the God would be understanding. He needed the all the energy he could get for the long day ahead of him.
Even more so due to only had gotten a couple of hours sleep in the previous night.
Maybe it was a mistake that he decided to make more complicated traps? No matter now, the time had passed and there were no taking back time already spent. Oscar simply brushed away the snow that had accumulated on the log he sat on the previous night and tossed a few extra sticks and split logs into the fire. Grabbing the semi frozen body of the creature he had killed earlier, he begins to thaw the corpse in preparation for skinning. If his party did not know what manner of creature this was, surely the people back in town would. As soon as the creature was thawed enough, Oscar began his handiwork. Skillfully using the knife to skin and de-bone the creature and in a matter of minutes the creature was completely stripped of meat and fur. He collected the creature's head, hands, feet, and bones to be set aside underneath a nondescript tree as offering before going back to his seat before the bonfire.
He then observed the knight approach the snow hovel and the ranger raised a hand briefly to greet the man. The following events seemed to go in slow motion. As soon as the knight entered the snow hovel the whole thing collapsed on himself and the rest of his slumbering party. At first, Oscar was concerned that one of them was injured by the falling snow but after seeing the snow shifting and hearing them groan and grumble from the rude awakening caused the ranger to fall onto the snow behind him as he laughed so hard that he fell off his seat and into the snow below.
As soon as he regained his composure and rode out his laughing fit, he went over to his recently awakened companions and help them.
DANGER!!! MANA HAS BEEN DEPLETED! STAMINA HAS BEEN DEPLETED! HEALTH CRITICALLY LOW!
FAIL-SAFE ACTIVATED...ALL ACTIVE SKILLS HAVE BEEN DEACTIVATED.
COMBAT HAS NOT ENDED...DEMISE IMMINENT!!!
The System alert echoed in his mind as Ed realized one thing.
He pushed his body too hard and reached his physical limit.
Ed had never pushed his body this hard before in his life; both in this life and his previous.
But now he's done it.
Ed's slumped down onto his knees. His breath, ragged and shallow, were the only thing he could barely hear through the incessant ringing in his ears. His temples throbbed and ached as the mental fatigue of using up his mana had finally caught up to him as his consciousness felt like it was floating. His whole body, drenched in a mix of his own blood and sweat, cried out in protest at the slightest movement. Then the Myrminor Worker got up again and was yet again going for him. Through the confusion and floating feeling, the thoughts in Ed's mind could be summarized into one coherent thought. 'Fuck...' Ed tried to stand up once again, but the sheer amount of pain only caused him to fall down onto his bloodied hands to prevent falling flat on the ground. He could go no further. His body simply refused to. This was it. After a only a few days into his second life, it would seem that he would die once again.
So much for him being chosen as a candidate by the Demon King.
'I'm so sorry everyone...' Ed accepted his fate and waited for the inevitable end. It was then he saw Asteria tackle the Myrminor while taunting their insectoid foe as she begins her assault. The sight alone inspired Ed. If she hadn't given up on him, then why should he give up on himself? The realization turned what little embers remained from his determination to keep going, into a roaring flame once more. The ratman then noticed the herb Asteria had thrown towards him and saw his chance. He reached out for the herb and crammed it down his mouth and felt the plant's effect and shut up his body's cries of protest and pain. With his body no longer demanding him to stop moving, Ed gets his short cudgel from his vine belt and charges straight at the Myrminor Worker. Intending to deliver a flurry of blows to help Asteria to finally put an end to this thing.
