Clifford wiped the whiteboard clean with his rag. He couldn't blame the new guy for wondering how a walking crash test dummy like him was still alive and harvesting livers at this point. He wrote on the whiteboard some more and then turned it around. Hard body. Clifford was a simple man with simple views. It didn't matter much to him what other folks wanted. But what was a skinny guy like this doing on Lunie's payroll? This wasn't some cheap meat grocer with a couple of butchers. This was a full-fledged operation with live, sentient victims. Clifford directed the new guy over to the storage closet. Figured he'd show him some of the ropes. After setting the cart under a meat repository, he turned back to him and wrote another message on his whiteboard. Clifford Briley. You?
Some juices from the meat had splattered onto Clifford's whiteboard. He took a rag out of his apron's pouch and wiped it off. Can't have any caked blood on it now, that wouldn't do at all. It'd been way too long since he'd seen a bottle of Windex around here. He tucked the rag back in the pouch and turned his head, watching some of the werewolves feed on the supplied meat. Some of them fought over one clump like savages, eventually separating it into two chunks. Whole thing was just... nasty. Wonder how they'd react to a... nice steak dinner. Clifford would do that. If Lunie would allow it. He turned his head and made his way towards the maintenance closet, pushing the cart with him to refill for one more go-around. The moment he got near the doors, they opened, with some spectacle-wearing-skinny-man marching in. The moment the smell of Main Holding flooded his nostrils, he grunted a bit and pinched his nose. Clear sign of a greenhorn, that was for sure. The man took a few steps forward before Clifford decided to cut in and stop him. Be polite. Offer him a tour. Get to know him before the guy probably starts regretting his decision to come here. He set the cart aside and pulled down his facecloth. He slowly grabbed and held up his whiteboard with his hooks, holding it in front of his face and writing on it with a black marker from the pouch. The greenhorn, a little confused, watched as he turned the whiteboard around, now with a question presented upon it. New?
I dun posted. Cliff's just doing his thing now.
Shucking scraps of meat through the openings in the grated walls was the highlight of most of Clifford's days here. Lunie considered these people dogs so they fed them like such. The banged-up gentleman, wearing a black cloth around his face to keep any bacteria or chunks out of his gaping head wound, was pushing around a cart holding a steel container of various raw meats, pumped with growth serums and antiseptics so the livers would stay healthy and get nice, big, and juicy. Yes, of course, it was degrading, it was inhumane. But the people in charge couldn't care less. Once again; dogs. Clifford wasn't so sure of that discrimination. But he wasn't about to bring the issue up with his supervisor. Some of the werewolves dotting Main Holding eyed him as he slowly, calmly scooped up clumps of meat and tossed it inside. A lot of them did their best to abstain from eating the stuff, knowing full well what it set them up for in the long run. But the issue was, well... they weren't getting anything else, save bins of water. So it was either starving to death, or facing the liver harvesting music. Scoop by scoop, he went on undeterred.
I'll begin later. Maybe just have cliff walking around feeding mutts.
Ia this still open for new characters?
It is.
Just because you've already seen the OP doesn't mean you're a cohort, scrubs. But I'm happy to have you on board.
