But are the Old Ones really Western so much as they are Midwestern-African, Asian, Middle-Eastern, South Polar, and every other place H.P. Lovecraft hated? She should have Aztec blood-sacrificing powers. Or a mob of literal Buffalo soldiers. That's far more of a western mix.

Wakes a man from one world within another, grief and confusion's bound to set in quick. Clifford is no exception, but someone of his strength, stature, and endurance can do well to survive in such a situation. And he does intend to survive. Find a way back, even. No sane being would truly, sincerely want to stay.
