Running Like Clockwork(High Fantasy/Steampunk)

I have taken a short break from Role Playing but I believe I want to jump back into it again. This role play interests me greatly and I would love to make a character for this.

I have a question, however! I see that you encourage all manner of fantasy races and I am in a bit of a vampire high. Would you allow vampires in this role play? I have actually designed a rather simple vampiric race myself that I would like to play if you allowed it.

If not, I'll just go with another race. Either way, I'm interested in this.

I've joined and left several RPs now in search for something that I can really stick with but nothing's really working. I think I just need a break from RPs all together for a while. Talked a bit with Minato about me not being too fond of my character but I think I'm overall just tired of forum RPing, at least for a while.

I'm sorry if I'm disappointing anyone. I've written this message to pretty much three or four other RPs and I think I can take the hint, I should shelve forum RPing for a while since nothing seems to work for me.

Terribly sorry everyone, but I am pretty sure that I'll stop Role Playing now for a while. No RP has worked for me in a very long time and the issue is with me, I'm just worn out.

I hope this goes well for everyone, truly do. You've all made really interesting characters, and I hope you all manage to continue this RP. Sorry if I'm making things difficult, though slugging through something that I can barely keep my interest up for isn't really viable.

Kind of tired of writing a 'Goodbye' to every RP I'm in because I lose my interest all the time, so I'll stop Role Playing all together for a while and see what happens.

I get that people are busy but it has gone days and we have one reply from four players out of six. For an RP that was made to be RPd in real time, I have to say that the pace of this has been incredibly slow.

Don't mean to be naggy and I'll probably be pointed out as "that guy" now, but since the pad came up, only 4 people have written an intro post and if it will keep going like this, the interest from players will fade. It's happened countless times before.

You roll a d20 and add your skill level to the roll, versus a defensive roll against your opponent. Depending on your attack, you roll Strength or Dexterity for example. Your opponent will roll the same in a defensive manner. For example, if they block they will roll Strength and if they dodge they will roll Dexterity.

In short, it's a contested roll, your attack versus their preferred means of defense. Of course, you also need to consider other factors that might add or take away points from your roll. For example if you're caught off guard you'll get a negative modifier to your roll, while if you take your time aiming a kunai or shuriken it will take longer to execute the attack but you'll get a positive modifier to your roll.

Example:

Kai fires a Cakra Bolt at his opponent. He rolls his Dexterity +6 because that's his skill level. His opponent sees Kai aiming at him and jumps to the side to avoid the bolt, who in turn also roll his/her Dexterity to avoid the bolt. The one with the highest result wins the round. For example, Kai gets a 12 + 6 and his opponent gets a 12 + 4 because he/she has 4 in Dexterity. The result ends with Kai having gotten 18 on his attack roll and his opponent having a 16. Kai hits his target.

I hope that makes sense. This is what I have been able to throw together from the system I've gotten explained for me.

I'm just about the wort roleplayer ever; when I'm not too busy to get shit stuff done, I'm too lazy to do it. And when I'm not either busy or lazy, I've got a writers block.

Just a bit of a warning. I do get shit stuff done, but it usually takes longer than it "needs" to. If I ever say I'll get something done within a timelimit, just slap me over the head and tell me to do it NOW(!) 'cause that means I've got the time and oppotunity to do it, but I just don't feel like doing it (until I actually get started on it)

Also, I'm actually doing shit stuff as soon as the kid's tucked in, so in an hour or so
