Current Cleaning day! Made a ton of progress and even found my long lost DS and my missing laundry card that still has a lot of credits on it. Found it in my winter coat of all places go figure.

Finally got into D&D. Now I feel trapped and I am in love. Should I ask for help or ask where I can get more dice?

Breaks ups are weird. Not sure how to feel about the other person, or about yourself. It hurts for sure, but it's weird and uncomfortable just how different things seem now.

I tend to do that from time and time again. Also if someone could post in the IC sections that would be awesome. Also if I am not online for a while, it means my computer kicked the bucket. I have keys that don't work anymore, The processor is actually working for the first time in 2 weeks, So i'm enjoying that. Oh and the base is separating so I have to watch that. If I am not on that is why.
Fall of Olympus if I remember correctly.
So it may be a while before people come here...To other RPs well I wait!
Maybe, Could be a lot of reasons. Should we RP that his character ran off or something when the infected came and have them reintroduced when they return?
Hmm....
In RP you can know other peoples characters, most of the people in the barrier have lived close to each other for as long as 6 years. If a character has recently entered the Colony the chances of people knowing them are less, consider this hen RPing.
Hank would wake up from yet another nightmare, it's been five years since he got into the colony. He lives alone in one of the run down apartment buildings ran by yet another barrier. Hank works on construction and maintenance of the outer wall. After all someone has to do it. He does what ever he can to forget the horrible times inside the walls, But after all it's better then outside. Right?

Hank got dressed and left his room, He was low of rations and it was ration day. He just hoped that the rations were not cut today, dead bodies can still be spelled in the alleys from people starving to death and not being able to pay rent, or just not having enough.

Hank would start walking down the street, people were everywhere but few talked over a whisper, Too many feared the 'Soldiers' that guarded them from the infected. On his way to the ration line in District 7 he noticed the fortified inner wall. "Over a thousand of us, maybe 200 soldiers on this side of the wall. And maybe another 200 on the inside of the fort. Though none of the uprisings in the past ever worked. The soldiers still had guns. The barriers had some tools." Hank dreamed of the day when things would get better, But he knew the governors just kept around the barriers for work, and then they were kept in horrible conditions to die off to prevent over population.

Hank lived in district 10, His officer was known for whipping for the slightest violation of rules. And in banishment, exile, but at the gate the exiled were normally shot in the leg by his officer. This was done to slow down the exiled, and to draw the infected.

Hank would keep walking, trying not to think about the other side of the inner wall.

A short man with a bold head and a hunch in his back walks into the dark room you are sitting in. He holds a clipboard and starts reading off it in a frail but deep voice.

The infected struck in the year 2018, 6 years later the human race is almost gone, the infected roam outside. Now what remains of the human race is crammed into a walled off city. It's prewar name is unknown. It is now known only as The Colony. The conditions for most people are poor, rations are small, and they are cut. Most these people are known as the barriers, mainly because they live on the border of the city, inside the first wall, outside the fort wall. The colony is ran by a private force of armed guards and private owners.

Classes
-travelers. (People who have been on the outside and have to be integrated into the Colony.)

-Barriers. (Lowest rank, given poor jobs with minimal food. Many times they will be forced to do work that prewar would not be legal, other times just doing any job they can get to have a meal or to a day. These people got in for free and are forced to earn their keep.)

-Soldiers. (The private military of the Colony. Well armed, well fed, and well trained. Going into a fight with these soldiers normally ends in death for the opposing side.)

-Forters. (These people live inside the fort walls. They live a life of luxury an wealth. It is believed they payed their way in in the beginning. They cover jobs of lawyers, Office workers, or any other safe duty inside the fort walls. They rarely leave the fort walls.)

-District officers. (District officers have several jobs. The main is to keep the barriers in line. Their is one for every district, and Co Officers for Barrier districts. There's a total of 7 barrier district, each with about 60-100 civilians in each. These people are to show no mercy when enforcing the law.)

-Governors. (This small group of people help run the city, they act as judges, military officers, and basically every other position of power. Even looking at them wrong is punishable by torture.)

-Ozmon. (The creator of the colony, and head of the military force. It is believed he was a general back before the events of the dead took place. His word is law, disobey him and punishment is guaranteed. Few people ever see him, Some Governors have seen him. He gives commands from his private estate in the center of the fort over radio commands to some governors and soldiers. Walking on to his estate with out permission no matter class is punishable by death.)

Follow the rules and you can stay, break the rules, you will be shot, or sent outside the gate.
1. Do not steal.
2. Obey your district officer.
3. No street travel of barriers between 6PM and 8AM with out registered paperwork from a district officer.
4. Arming of Barriers is forbidden.
5. No barrier is to lay hands on a soldier or anyone else a higher social class.
6. Crossing up between the walls is forbidden with out permission from district officers.
7. Travel outside the wall is forbidden unless on work detail or have obtained special permission.
8. Travelers are to be quarantined and then interviewed. After such events they will be placed in their respected class.
9. Any threats toward a higher class will be taken as an assault and the accused will be punished.
10. Any attempt to "Bend" the rules will be met with a worse punishment then the crime they have committed.
11. Murder or assault of a soldier class or higher will result in death and or banishment. (note that barriers is not mentioned)
12. Any form of tempering with The Colony's systems or property will be punishable with a whipping.
13. Do not break quarantine.
14. Ozmon's word is law. Don't forget it.

RP notes:
-The fort wall is a well constructed wall with sniper nest covering the tops and a no mans land dividing the fort wall and the barriers city. in this no mans land their is barbed wire, bear traps, and a bunch of other surprises to keep illegal traffic out.

-the outer wall is run down, it's strongest points are what is left of the original fortified wall from when the colony was being built. Other points consist of tall electric fences, sealed buildings, and debris.

-All characters that join will be barriers when they join. Changing classes is still to be decided.

-Character applications are to be done in the form of an interview.

-Barriers can be either living in an apartment or on the streets. Those found in quarantined buildings will tracked down and arrested.

-(more may be added, think distopia when RPing)
