While we're on the topic of things ruining the youngsters: SOCIAL MEDIA. How many selfies do you need?!

I actually don't have a Facebook account except for one I made once upon a time to get a City of Heroes emote and never touched again.
A few more questions, this time focused on lore.

1. What sort of time period are we looking at? I notice there are black powder weapons and pirates abound. Can you name a real-world time period (1800's? 1600's?)
2. Magic is no longer rare, but it remains very powerful. Are there types of magic which are seen as evil in this setting?
3. Is magic something you are born with the talent to use, something you have to learn, or both?
4. What lies beyond the borders of the map?
5. How long has the mercenary age been at hand?
Votes tallied. The Moon Tribe is our ancient enemy and Alchemy is our great craft.

This means that our clan is more likely to encounter the Moon Tribe, better able to adventure and raid in the Moon season, and is our alchemists have a higher chance of success during events and adventures that require alchemy skill.

A lore tidbit: the Moon Season is a season of perpetual night. During Moon Season, there is no daylight whatsoever.

EDIT: Here's a question for you folks... Do you want me to progress the voting process as quickly as you guys make your votes, or do you want me to stick with the "two days = a series of votes" idea?
I made a big whoops.

3 votes were for fighting AGAINST the Tuad Rithe, not alongside. I, uh, accidentally put your names beside the wrong one.

So, the ACTUAL RESULT is:

We fought against the Tuad Rithe, but for our bravery we were given a second chance.

What's silly is I KNEW that was the answer and was moving forward as if that was, but made the mistake of putting your names beside the wrong answer. Let's just say that getting sick threw me off my ball game and leave it at that.
So... how about that sports team?

You mean like arena battles?

What's pigeonholing?

Pigeonholing is basically when you're giving something really rigid restrictions. In my case, I was worried that I was restricting myself too much by playing anti-orc goblins.

Your concept isn't pigeon-holed at all, if that's what you're worried about. Bandit hunters can still do other kinds of contracts, and being anti-bandit doesn't limit you very much (if at all) in terms of what you can do.
And thanks for the answers as usual. I'm looking forward to this RP. I'm still trying to figure out if I pigoen-holed myself too much by making the Nightlurk Warband anti-orc.

May I send you a PM with the lore tidbits I had in mind concerning my company?
Sorry about not getting a post up when promised. I got distracted, and then I got sick.

I've set aside time to work on my post today, however.
You've compared the companies in this story to heroes akin to the Fellowship of the Ring (at least at later levels). I'm also noting that a high level hero has literally 5x the HP of a lower level one. So I'd like to ask: does HP represent a mixture of skill and toughness, or does it represent one or the other? Are 4th level characters comparable to Aragorn and other heroes in terms of combat ability?

(This is for writing purposes.)

Also, will you be defining what sort of cities each city on the map is and/or telling a bit more about them as time goes on?
