Same.

Now that purgatory is over, let's get this ball rolling.

Oh, and this might be the squadron's theme song:

Tanaka's done, boss. Writing all of that was exhausting. It gets stale halfway through.

Edit: Just say the name of the place and I'll edit all parts regarding Vladivostok in Tanaka's CS, boss.
A funny thing about Strike Witches is that the canon contradicts itself. Things that should be set in stone such as China's nonexistence aren't represented in a number of works, including the anime, especially when world maps are in view.

Reserving post.

Rather messy CS. Tanaka here was supposed to be a character for another RP -- before I was rejected. But I'm glad I get to reuse him.
We could head over to the Far East, based in Manchuria, and try to smash the Vladivostok Hive in a joint Orusso-Fusoan operation.
I don't think there are any Neuroi Hives in Australia, and the Indian/Burmese Front is malaria-infested jungle hellhole. But it's your call, boss. I'll bend with the wind.

The idea of traveling to meet up sounds wonderful, though.
More than the usual, too. Site's down every 10 minutes.
As much as I love the witches, I'm also fond of the common soldier. Is it okay if my character is a platoon officer whose mother unit has the privilege of witch support?
A combined arms scenario comes to my mind. Late in World War II, almost every American tank column had aerial support, guided by radio-equipped observers operating from the tanks. Maybe we can do the same with Strike and Tank Witches, in concert with conventional units, if we're pushing towards Karlsland in 1944.

I think there's lots of character development to be had simply by living on the battlefield. I've read a couple of war memoirs, and comparing the fresh recruits in basic training to the dull-eyed veterans in the later pages, naive optimism contrasting with brutal pragmatism, can be stunning.
