Took a moment to think about and name what one of the few Consortium offensive space vessels would be like.

Unrepentant Sinner, Bombardier-class heavy cruiser
Promiscuity, Courier-class light cruiser
Militant Blessing, Crusader-class destroyer
Righteous Dagger, Bloodless-class corvette
Unholy Wrench, Gravedigger-class battle cruiser

Well if Mez has died, Marga's just going to resurrect him and then kill him herself.

Just the once?
...the ceiling..? :S

Sorry, been spending way too much time trying to talk with Caboose recently. I think it may have started to affect my sanity.

@Lionheart@TheUnknowable I'll have Kis hold fire for now, and let the sword fight play out a little before responding.

How's the battle going? Are there still easy targets to be picked off, or have most of the bandits been dealt with already?

I think the others all got killed by the bandits. That or Kis accidentally dropped into the middle of the wrong group. XD
Not too shabby @Bonjour xx, just waiting to find out if any of the others survived the ambush now.
@Tenish the Mighty How 'bout them Mets?

Didn't they all get killed by the automated defence turrets too? :P
I think the Director was a bit more of a bastard, after what he did to his own daughter.

Then again, we don't even know if Counselor Price has a daughter or not...
It basically boils down to law.

A Confederation would have an overarching legal system which applies to all members, a Federation allows members to have legal powers within their own jurisdiction but would impose federal law when crimes are committed between jurisdictions, a Hegemony would require each member to answer to a central authority for all decision made within their jurisdiction and an Empire would require all decision to be made by a central authority for all members.

With a Conglomeration there's no requirement for members to ever answer to each other for decisions made, and no 'Federal law' to bridge matters which fall outside of a member nation's jurisdiction. Theoretically a member nation could hunt down and prosecute a citizen of another member's nation for breaking the law in the first member nation's jurisdiction without having to apply for extradition first. The citizen would then have to answer directly to the prosecuting member nation under that nation's laws.

It's possible that, as an extreme example, one member nation could make it illegal to wear purple on Wednesdays, punishable by death. If a tourist was seen wearing purple they could be executed without the member nation having to explain the action to the tourist's home nation, even if the law in that nation stated that every person must wear purple on Wednesdays, or face death. They broke the law, they suffered the consequences.

@Dragonite777 -Note to self: check for social normality in keeping all team relationships positive. Video games have proven otherwise. Source - Alpha Protocol.

Glad to see Alpha Protocol managed to stand the test of time. Damn, that game needs a sequel. Which ending do you think would be best to continue the story from?
@nk1506 1- If we didn't specify the kind of gear/equipment that our character would be using in our form (like I did), will we explain what we get in a IC post, or should I edit my form?

As far as I understand it we're just on our way to pick up the tech now, so should get the opportunity to explain the gear/equipment IC just as soon as the lift finally gets there. I know people complain about the lifts in Mass Effect, but two-weeks for a ride down to the cargo bays seems a little excessive. :P

@nk1506 2- Would conglomerate be the correct word for the EMA Conglomerate? I mean, wouldn't Federation or Republic or Union fit a bit better? 'Cause, as far as I know, a conglomerate is a combination of two or more corporations engaged in entirely different businesses that fall under one corporate group.

A conglomeration is any group formed from disparate factions, and could imply that the constituent members were federal, republican, dictatorships, or pretty much any form of government prior to joining the EMA. If some are still autonomous within the Conglomeration they might take offense at being referred to as 'Federal states', or whatever.

@nk1506 3- Not really an important question, but I just though about it making my post. Indar says "By god" when talking about the elevator. Would people still believe in God, or Christianity, or any organised religion in that point in time? Would we have proven/disproven religion by that point? Or would it just have been fazed out?

Personally I'm of the opinion that there will always be some form of religious belief, whether people choose to accept it as such or not. In the future people may turn away from deities and spiritual beings and instead take up worshipping technology and science instead. Also different people across multiple planets and colonies would likely develop their own versions of established religions, creating off-shoot faiths with differing philosophical beliefs and practices.

Saf's a non-practicing Pastafarian, although she only converted to the religion so she and her wife could have their service in a Pizza Hut restaurant when they got married.

Yolanda's a hard-line Fundamentalist Pastafarian who believes that the True Word of the FSM has been watered down by modern believers and has dedicated herself to the return of the True Path of Pastafarianism, as described in The One True Book. Luckily that just means that the couple tend to eat pasta most of the time and celebrate Holiday instead of Christmas each year, and occasionally laugh at Creationists.

Unfortunately it does mean that Saf's more likely to attack pirates vigorously, as she perceives them as infringing on her religious beliefs, profaning her faith.
