Name: Magnus
Alias: Robot Fighter
Age: Late 20s
Weight: 240 lbs
Height: 6'2"
Species: Advanced Humanoid

Powers & Abilities:
Superhuman Strength/Durability/Stamina/Agility
Extensive hand-to-hand combat training/Well-rounded Master Martial Artist
Tech sensory
- His teacher and mentor, 1A, implanted cybernetic receptors into his skull, enabling Magnus to intercept and interpret a variety of electronic signals. He is able to communicate fluently to all types of robots, and in some cases, command them. The cybernetic receptors also work as mental blockers, scrambling telepaths from peering into his mind.

Weaknesses:
He does not possess any super powers. Magnus may be in a league of his own when it comes to unarmed combat, but in return he has terrible marksmanship. Therefore, his abilities are fully utilized when up close and personal with his target(s).

Personality: Charismatic, Boisterous, Charming, Intelligent, Thoughtful, Loud, and sometimes obnoxious, surly and temperamental.

History: Magnus was born on alternate Earth 3927, where machines ruled over humans with an iron fist. 1A, a self-aware robot, raised Magnus on his own to become the savior of humanity that would free the humans from their robotic oppressors. 1A trained Magnus with a 'perfect' method that allowed him to destroy machines with his bare hands. 1A also surgically implanted a cybernetic receptor inside Magnus' head that allowed him to understand 'machine talk.'

Liberating Earth from the machines was a long and brutal process. The final battle was on board an orbiting space station where the ultimate super computer was installed. Destroying it would create a domino effect back on Earth, rendering every machine inert, thus freeing the humans completely from their rule. Fighting through the station with his bare hands, he eventually comes across an advanced cyborg machine - the ultimate combat bot and host of the super computer. They fought in a frenzied, gut-wrenching slug fest until Magnus finally defeated it. However, before the super computer permanently shut down, it captured Magnus in a gravitron teleporter sequence, encapsulating him in a time stream stasis field until he crash landed onto a barren moon.

Magnus hitchhiked between star systems, looking for a way to return to his homeworld. He then encountered a green-colored alien named Drax. They fought across a desolate planet for an entire day before finally negotiating a truce. Impressed by Magnus' skills, Drax offers him a chance to become a Guardian of the Galaxy. Magnus tells the alien his plight, explaining how he liberated Earth from the machines and how he simply wishes to return. Puzzled, Drax informs him of the current time line and status of Earth 616, suggesting that Magnus may be from an entirely different universe. Shocked by this revelation, he demands to go to Earth and confirm this for himself. Upon doing so, he witnesses firsthand that Drax's Earth is not his at all. Frustrated by these turn of events with no where to go, over time he finally accepts Drax's offer and enlists as a Guardian candidate.

Magnus hopes that by joining this band of cosmic super heroes, they will in turn, find a way to get him back home.

Name: Hasegawa Kiyohide

Age: 28

Bio: Kiyohide was born into a well respected retainer clan to the Matsudaira family. His father, Hasegawa Niiro, served Daimyo Matsudaira Ietada, until both were slain during the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. Ietada's successor, Tadayoshi, soon adopted Kiyohide out of respect for Niiro's service. He became Matsudaira Tadayoshi's page for several years. As an educated scholar, Tadayoshi taught Kiyohide many things; Calligraphy, war strategy, and politics, to name a few.

At the age of 16, Kiyohide became a Tsukaiban (battlefield messenger/courier) for the Matsudaira army. Many of his campaigns were spent eradicating rival clans that rebelled against the Shogunate. Even though he rarely fought in battle, he proved to be an invaluable asset in the war effort as an information gatherer. Matsudaira Todayoshi died on Kiyohide's 20th birthday. It was the same day Kiyohide was handpicked by Roju * Honda Masazumi for an investigation at Tsushima-Fuchu Domain**.

He was tasked with gathering information on multiple targets, operating unofficially as a Metsuke agent. Officially, he was publicly viewed as an emissary of the Shogunate. Because he represented a higher authority, one that superseded the provincial Daimyo, he was often asked to mediate disputes; upholding justice, befitting of Shogunate law.

Four years later, Kiyohide had a breakthrough in one of his investigations.

After compiling enough evidence, he returned to Edo and presented his findings to Honda Masazumi. It was revealed to the Roju that Daimyo So Katsuyama was conspiring with foreign traders; They had sabotaged trade ship routes for years, pirating goods from foreign naval vessels. Through careful orchestration, So Katsuyama and the unidentified foreigners, manipulated the western shores of Japan's naval trade system for profit.

Though Kiyohide was handsomely rewarded for his efforts, he was denied his station back in Tsushima for undisclosed reasons. He felt compelled to finish the investigation he started, but Honda Masazumi had other plans in mind. Much to his reluctance, Kiyohide was reassigned to a case involving the assassination of several political figure heads. Also designated to the task was (your character), Kiyohide's newly appointed partner.

Three years later, with over thirty cases solved, the suspects behind the political assassinations are still at large. Kiyohide hopes to find new leads in their next assignment at Osaka.

* highest ranking government official, 2nd to the Shogun
** Island off in the far west, known as a hub for foreign trade.

Name: Shang Chi
Aka: Master of Combat
Age: 25

Bio: Shang Chi was groomed to be a grandmaster at an early age. All he ever knew was the pursuit of martial perfection. But as he grew older and more curious, he began to question the purpose of this life that his father had claimed for him. His own investigative work soon revealed that his father was Fu Man Chu, leader of one of the world's most vicious criminal empires to date. The revelation shook his core, as he wanted no part in his schemes. So he fled at an early age, making an oath to the world that he would do everything within his power to stop his father's evil doings. Fu Man Chu was angered by his son's disobedience and has since sent trained assassins to kill him. But Shang Chi stayed off his father's radar for 10 years, honing his abilities by mastering new ones. He was recruited into S.H.I.E.LD's hong kong division where he was trained in tactical warfare and espionage. After several S.H.I.E.L.D. campaigns, Shang Chi was secretly relieved of his duties by Col. Nicholas Joseph Fury and went rogue.

Rumor has it that he's investigating the terrorist activities of his father's criminal organization around the globe.

Personality: Shang Chi reflects a calm demeanor, even in combat. He is a patient man with a sharp mind and an indomitable will to overcome the impossible.

Powers/traits/weapon(s) :

Chi Manipulation: Honed though intense years of martial arts training, Shang Chi has complete control over his mind and body. He is able to enter a trancelike state to resist poisonous effects or ignore pain. Chi mastery allows him to detect nearby individuals and at its most optimum, withstand and inflict serious damage amongst superhumans.

Master Martial Artist: Widely considered the greatest martial artist to have ever lived, Shang Chi is a grandmaster in nearly all disciplines. While Chinese martial arts is his particular specialization, he has adopted a new style that incorporates an organic mix of all styles.

Weapons: While nearly anything in his hands could be used as a deadly weapon, Shang Chi prefers to use his fists. However, S.H.I.E.L.D., through Tony Stark's directive, has constructed special metal bracelets for him that can deflect knives and bullets.

Name: Temujin
Race: Human with Post-Birth enhancements
Age: 35
Height: 6'4",
Weight: 225 llbs
Ethnicity: Mongolian-Kadesa descent

Appearance:

Personality: Temujin is very brash and ill-mannered. He's not afraid to speak his mind and welcomes whatever consequence that follows. Temujin won't be the most socially poignant man in the bar, but his charismatic aura draws people in. His boisterous demeanor suggest that he would be too proud and incapable of change, but that is furthest from the truth. He seeks to learn about all things - from different cultures and religions, to variations of fighting and hunting - all while attempting to refine his own methodology in the process.

Weapons:
- Heavy Rifle
- Light-Metal Lance (spearhead can unlatch from the pole-arm for knife yielding purposes - like skinning hides...or resolving disputes)

Abilities:
Gifted with inherited traits combined with particular anatomical and physiological enhancements, Temujin is a resilient and very durable human being. While he possesses incredible strength, it is his stamina that allows him to surpass peak human endurance, especially during fight-or-flight situations. Temujin is a master in survival, hand-to-hand combat, and marksmanship. He is a terrible cook.

Bio: Temujin was born on planet Kadesa as a first generation Mongol-Kadesan. As part of the terraformation registry, all settlers had to undergo gene therapy to sustain livable conditions under its harsh atmospheric pressure. The immediate change did not feel substantial until several political Kadesans were granted travel off-world. The revelation of their enhanced bodies inspired many other people to do the same, however, Kadesan's strict terra laws restricted free exit. Access was only granted per the appropriate amount of credits - which, as the public found, was a ridiculous fee that only the upper caste could afford. This immediately sparked upset across the world. People suddenly felt compelled to leave because it was perceived that they were being held against their will. Unfortunately, the stipulations of a colonist's contract on Kadesa are rarely examined thoroughly - a problem that has damaged colonization programs or years). Under Article 5ad1a of the Kadesa Colonization Act it states that all Kadesans who undergo genetic enhancements post-birth are required by law to stay on planet - unless appropriately cleared by a medical board or is granted permission by S-GAF authority.

To keep a long story short, the people got really pissed off and the government wasn't having any of it. A world-wide revolution broke out to the point where an estimated 10% of S-GAF's naval fleet was needed at orbit to keep Kadesan's from planet hopping. In the end, the planet got glassed, and the survivors were left to fend for themselves. Imagine a city without a police force to regulate the people. Now magnify that to an entire planet full of angry Kadesans. Temujin survived Kadesa for 20 years before joining a band of marauders hell bent on sabotaging one of the S-GAF frigates just so he could smash it into another one. As futile as the plan was, if it were not for the incompetence of his companions, they would have succeeded. Instead, their plot was thwarted, leaving them all to scatter past the blockades and escape on their own. By the good graces of Ohkarr, the deity of luck, Temujin managed to board a trading barge undetected. Its destination? Tryliin.

Compared to his birth planet, Tryliin is a paradise. While he has aspirations of some day returning to Kadesa to liberate his people and bring death to the government that enslaved them, a recent rumor about certain happenings around Tryliin has forced him to stay. Should the rumors be true, he could very well possess the power needed to achieve his ultimate goal.

[b]Personal equipment:
- An avian companion of Temujin's. It was apparently exported off-world from an exotic planet. It had formed an immediate bond with the Mongol-Kadesan when he saved it from a pack of Sky Hooks. He originally intended to eat the bird, but it has proven its usefulness as a full terrain scout. By placing a small camera on its abdomen, he is able to map out the surrounding territory through the HUD feed of his helmet.

Tool satchel - filled with repair kits for his rifle and lance, ammunition, herbs and substances to be used for medical, recreational, or trade.

Smoke fragmentation grenades - Most of these are handmade so there is no guarantee that half of them even work.
Name: Sir Dmitry Kovalev
Race: Ranath-Humas
Class: Investigator
Class Specialty: Vanguard (Leader with support attributes)
Class Specialty Abilities: Defensive magic (shield barriers). Stat boosters. Limited time spells. Durable.

Sub-Class Specialty: Gear Head
Sub-Class Specialty Sheet:
Name: Ivanov - 1AD115A
Appearance:

Type: Machine
Info: Ivanov is the result of nearly a lifetime of tinkering. It is considered one of Dmitry's finest inventions. Limited free-thinking capabilities and extremely obedient to Dmitry. In standard form, he essentially operates as a storage unit and another pair of hands, but the unique quality of this form is that Dmitry can wear Ivanov like armor. The motorcycle form is a testament to Kovalev's teenage days. It is mainly steam-powered, but with special enchantments, can clock in at 80 mphs. The Equipment Form is the most important form and Ivanov is quite often in this stage. In the equipment form, he attaches onto Kovalev's back and arm prosthetic, serving as an extra battery that amplifies Kovalev's magical abilities. One of his legs can also reconfigure into a long-ranged sniper rifle, and one of his hands can transform into a short ranged match lock pistol. Because Ivanov is used for a wide variety of purposes, Kovalev must constantly service the robot so its functions continue to run smoothly.

Skills: Expert Paranormal Investigator, Medic, Expert Marksmanship, Seasoned Mechanic, Average Pilot, Multi-Linguistic.

Equipment/Weapons: Ivanov, Satchel (contains first aid kit and repair tools),

Personality: Witty. Charismatic. Improvisational. Daring.

History: Imygden born, Ranath-mixed PRO-TAC advocator. With over 15 years of T.A.C. Investigator experience, Dmitry has solved over two hundred mid-to-high profile cases. He spent the earlier portion of his T.A.C. career in a Preemptive Strike Unit called the Roaring Tens, a classified project that operated like a military hit squad. Records show that he campaigned in Kadesa, and played an important role in quelling the Kadesan-Golathian border riots of 865 SW. For reasons unknown, Dmitry was reassigned to a T.A.C. precinct back in Imygden as a lead investigator, eventually working up to Chief.

Officially, his exceptional work in the Iron Murlock case is what convinced the higher ups to assign him as Vanguard Leader to the Interceptors. The Iron Murlock case involved a deeply seeded syndicate that operated under the jurisdiction of Deigns. They were called the Shady Hilt, and they conspired to commit a web of terrorist attacks all across Kadesa and Imygden.

While many of the low profile incidents could not be helped, it was the big tamale that they were building up to that Dmitry prevented from happening. Reports indicate that Kovalev went in with a team of six, successfully infiltrated their fortress in the Narrow Coves (located along the southeastern coast line of Deigns) and wiped out all two hundred conspirers. The case is called Iron Murlock, because it is named after the submarining golem the Shady Hilt retrofitted as a 12 ton seismic bomb. Upon detonation, everything within a fifty mile radius would have instantaneously been leveled. Key suspects in the upper hierarchy of the syndicate were apprehended and are currently serving their life sentences at a cavernous prison ward.

The 4th Mage of The Eight, Maritori Kujan, reached out to Dmitry personally about putting together The Interceptors.

Misc: Kovalev entered the Coalition with the metal prosthetics. He gives many different explanations as to how the incident came about, but never admits to the true story. "It's nothing dark and mysterious, trust me. More embarrassing really." - His usual response.
Name: Wulgoth
Age: late 20s
Race: Org-Humas
Class: T.A.C. Soldier
Class Specialty: Berserker
Class Specialty Abilities: Indomitable willpower, blood lust, close quarter combat master

Sub-Class Specialty: Animal Tamer
Sub-Class Specialty Sheet:
Name: Gwar
Appearance:

Wulgoth Fusion
Type: (Animal/Machine)
Info: Wulgoth earned Gwar's companionship after surviving as its prey. They fought mercilessly in the Northern Forests of Kadesa until they reached a stalemate. Wulgoth says the blood from their wounds had mixed, solidifying their bond as equals. Gwar is a silent tracker that never leaves tracks. Its bite can stun, and the harder the bite, the intense the electricity builds. Further enchantment achieved during his time as a T.A.C. student resulted in a menacing imbuement that when fused with Wulgoth, unleashes a primal wolf monster encased in stone and steel.

Skills: Calligraphy, Fishing, Scouting, Tracking, Photographic memory, Arena style wrestling/grappling/fighting.

Equipment/Weapons: Dual scimitars and dual one-haded axes.

Personality: Menacing. Violent. Calculating. Honest.

History: Not much is known about Wulgoth other than the fact that he is a mix-blood from the Hivera Isles. Of all the T.A.C. Operatives, he is among the most controversial of members due to his checkered past as a gladiator in Golathis, and thief to a very prominent pirate guild in Deign. In fact it is rumored that before his enlistment, he was sentenced to death for crimes committed in Kadesa. If it weren't for the good graces of a Sir Machian Devari, honorary Ark Knight of the Royal Guardsmen, Wulgoth would be running around in the afterlife with his head cut off. Some type of deal was made; Perhaps a challenge of swords, one that if Wulgoth could pass, granted his freedom - under the condition that he enlist of course. Some say that Sir Machian saw goodness in him and wanted to believe that he could change for the better. Perhaps Wulgoth wanted to believe that too.

Name: Robert Kruschev Sinclaire
Age: 40s
Appearance:

Robert Sinclair is like a vintage automobile, exuding a peculiar form of class in a modern world. His manner of dress is almost always defined by a well-tailored suit, and apart from being six feet tall, appears rather normal for a human being. Amidst the genofix and augmentation craze, Robert Sinclair is a nonconformist in that regard. He is quite proud of his natural genetics, and maintains a fairly disciplined diet and exercise routine.

Personality:

"Mr. Sinclaire is a man with many faces, playing every possible angle from each side of the fence. The public loves him -- but that's only because he puts politicians like me through the wringer. What can I say? He's a magnificent piece of ****." -Quote from BESC Representative Illugia Faux taken from CTCCV LiveNetworkLink interview with Reporter Lesita Morana

In the corporate-political wheelhouse of greedy sharks, and conniving back stabbers, Robert Kruschev Sinclaire exists as the most devilishly sly jackal of them all. Fear not his incalculable demeanor, nor his manipulative charisma; such tools of the trade come standard for those of his profession. No. Fear his ambition; his indomitable will to succeed against impossible odds. To play the game of Babylon politics requires the sharpened tact of a brilliant mind, and Sinclaire is no lesser man of the sort. His presence is simply magnetic, commanding respect even amongst his most austere critics and nay-sayers. In truth, only Robert knows who he really is, what he stands for, and what his true motivations are. He can be courteous when required, become ruthless when necessary, and most especially vengeful when pursued.

Occupation: CGB Politician

History:

Robert Kruschev Sinclaire. Former C.E.O. of Multinational Corporation Yggdrasil Industries, current politician in CGB office, and a constant thorn at the BESC's side. Quite the resume for a kid that grew up selling e-cigs and hackware at the lower east coastline of Babylon. There was nothing special about Robert; no hidden power that one day made him the unstoppable force that he is today. Nothing was handed to him either - not his multinational corporation, nor his ascension into politics. Everything he ever accomplished, he did so with rolled up sleeves and hardworking grit.

Yggdrasil Industries has made positive contributions to the world, most notably doing so without harming the environment in the process. Touted as an eco-friendly conglomeration, Yggdrasil Industries was one of the first corporations to start shelling out alternative forms of cost-effective energy. Their manufacturing of waste atomizing machines accounts for the world's substantial decrease in garbage landfills, toxic waste, and biohazard dumpsites. Many other technological wonders were destined to improve the overall quality of life on Outremer, but the BESC stepped in and started putting up the red tape. Citing laws, regulatory fines, and jurisdictional hoopla, whatever they could find to stop Yggdrasil dead in their tracks, they used, unsparingly.

Sinclaire didn't need an investigator to find out what was going on. Clearly the big businesses weren't too fond of their profit-loss, contributed by Yggdrasil, who was clearly dominating the market at this point. So they fetched the BESC puppets they had lined in their pockets and started a ruckus. They even went as far as hiring mudslingers from the press to promote an anti-Yggdrasil smear campaign. Robert knew that if he bowed down now, they'd never get another foothold anywhere. So he played it smart and let it all settle out. He resigned as C.E.O., and urged the board to negotiate with their competitors.

Five years later, Robert Sinclaire is now knee deep in CGB public office, relentlessly combating with BESC legislature in a strategic war of politics. You see, Robert realized that if he wanted to make any real changes in Outremer, he'd have to venture into the belly of the beast himself. The government's hounds may have sniffed out his intentions, but they have nothing but intuition to go by. And while they speculate with twiddled thumbs, the politician amasses a network of powerful connections; swindling bureaucrats and fiddling with ploys of grandeur that work toward his ultimate goal. They have a saying in Outremer that goes something like:

'He who makes a beast of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man.'

To those daring souls that stand in Robert's way, pray the bite from his fangs be quick. For he is a man who wears his pain like the reaper's cloak.

I'm going ahead and moving this along. Several people haven't posted, so I'm wondering who's still willing to be active in this RP.
"Hired goons from the very shipping company we bought these goods at. We won't be doing business with them again, that's for sure." Dmitry chortled, picking up the enchanted rope Finn had used to dispatch the rest of the outlaws. "Nice touch with this, by the way."

Just then, a Ranathian woman with a peculiar doll trotted onto the scene, introducing herself as Morticia.

"Ah, pleasure to meet you, Morticia." Dmitry tipped his duster, then turned to face everyone that had arrived. "Pleasure to meet you all. As you might know, my name is Dmitry Kovalev, your new assignment leader. Most of you fought well today. Mostly." He shot a glare at Wulgoth, who remained devoid of any expression.

"This is good. Really good. We'll need that kind of spirit for the weeks to come. I'm sure you all have questions, but we'll get to them shortly...oh."

Finally, the distinct reverberating hum of two griffon engines purred in their direction. He turned to Morticia, who had asked before if the crashed airship, courtesy of Wulgoth's tactful strategy, was theirs.

"That, mam, is our airship."

The group loaded the ship with the supplies and their belongings. After refueling, and a good lecture to the pilot for their tardiness, Dmitry cast off the anchor, and the Aurora flew up and away from Marrow Lock.

"Now, get situated, acquainted and comfortable with your new home. In about an hour, we'll meet in the war room and get down to business."
