Hey there everyone. So there is this RP I've been working on for a very long time. I guess you can say it's my precious baby. I posted it on the interest check of the old site a long time ago but it got no love, so I figured I give it another go.

Rather than info dump everything I have on here, I'll keep it short:

This RP is set in a steampunk fantasy setting, in a thriving world with diverse kingdoms and species. The sci fi elements will be very subtle (for the most part). The world is currently divided into four kingdoms. Each have paired with another according to their beliefs: The way of the old (man made machines and religion) and the way of the new (eco friendly freethinkers who believe in the scientific properties of mixing and taming magic, machine, and beast).

Players will be part of The Arcane Coalition, which is an investigative unit composed of mages (who operate as detectives) and soldiers/gear heads (who are pretty much like their bodyguards) that looks into paranormal/magic-type phenomena and also are deputized to handle hostile disputes. Solving riddles and slaying giant monsters and machines.

Together, we will unravel a mysterious phenomena that is spiking across the planet that will change everything we ever knew about Venastia. Men will fall and Gods will rise.

Again, I have all of the details lined up, (and I'm currently going through it and tweaking/adding stuff) but I'll save them for the ooc. I just want to make sure this will generate interest at least before I take the effort in putting it together.

BE ADVISED: The OOC might have a lot to read (really just more in depth details about Venastia's history/kingdoms and species, now that I look at it, it's not so bad lol).

Key Points:
-As part of The Arcane Coalition (TAC), you will partake in magical/paranormal investigations across Venastia, fighting off monsters, machines, and men.
-The setting is a mix of medieval fantasy, steam punk, and a hint of sci-fi. Gunpowder, swords and shields with magic, machines and monsters.
-There are Four main kingdoms and they are split between The Halodraugh Order (old way) & The Arcane Coalition (new way): Deign and Golathia for the former (Pro Halodraugh) & Kadesa and Imygden for the latter (Pro TAC}.
-It will be high casual, but I'm looking more for quality content vs a thousand paragraphs.

Bio: Shang Chi was groomed to be a grandmaster at an early age. All he ever knew was the pursuit of martial perfection. But as he grew older and more curious, he began to question the purpose of this life that his father had claimed for him. His own investigative work soon revealed that his father was Fu Man Chu, leader of one of the world's most vicious criminal empires to date. The revelation shook his core, as he wanted no part in his schemes. So he fled at an early age, making an oath to the world that he would do everything within his power to stop his father's evil doings. Fu Man Chu was angered by his son's disobedience and has since sent trained assassins to kill him. But Shang Chi stayed off his father's radar for 10 years, honing his abilities by mastering new ones. He was recruited into S.H.I.E.LD's hong kong division where he was trained in tactical warfare and espionage. After several S.H.I.E.L.D. campaigns, Shang Chi was secretly relieved of his duties by Col. Nicholas Joseph Fury and went rogue.

Rumor has it that he's investigating the terrorist activities of his father's criminal organization around the globe.

Personality: Shang Chi reflects a calm demeanor, even in combat. He is a patient man with a sharp mind and an indomitable will to overcome the impossible.

Powers/traits/weapon(s) :

Chi Manipulation: Honed though intense years of martial arts training, Shang Chi has complete control over his mind and body. He is able to enter a trancelike state to resist poisonous effects or ignore pain. Chi mastery allows him to detect nearby individuals and at its most optimum, withstand and inflict serious damage amongst superhumans.

Master Martial Artist: Widely considered the greatest martial artist to have ever lived, Shang Chi is a grandmaster in nearly all disciplines. While Chinese martial arts is his particular specialization, he has adopted a new style that incorporates an organic mix of all styles.

Weapons: While nearly anything in his hands could be used as a deadly weapon, Shang Chi prefers to use his fists. However, S.H.I.E.L.D., through Tony Stark's directive, has constructed special metal bracelets for him that can deflect knives and bullets.

As they all nodded in agreement, Temujin pressed a button on the left side of his helmet. Doing so automatically collapsed the head piece as it slid to the back of his neck, exposing his scruffy mane and bearded mug. He nodded to his new companions.

"Good! Then it is settled!" Temujin grinned like a playful child.

"And to answer your question," He turned to the blue woman and puffed his chest out proudly, "My name is Temujin! Ruler of Gordani System Prime! Neither bandit, soldier, or tribal....you stand before a grand conqueror!" He draped both of his lumbering arms around the two females and gently shook their shoulders as he let out a piercing laugh. "I will gladly tell you my grandest of tales, but I am more eager to learn about all of you!"

Temujin looked at each of them with unfazed enthusiasm as he rose from his seat. "Like how is one's skin so blue as nebulas faux? Or why does the giant bull and the big headed frog cling to their cranky woman companion like Ohkarr does to Temujin when hungry?!" His hearty laugh was more sincere than insulting.

"Come! Let us answer these questions with liquored breath and warm bellies!!" He waved his fist in the air with animated vigor, then turned toward the door and made an announcement to the entire shop. "Let us know new names and gain new friends! To the Green Oasis!"

It would be cool to get all of the criminal organizations involved (the hand, AIM, hydra of course) all conspiring a plot that Cap and his handpicked squad of SHIELD agents are trying to foil, but as they uncover new details, it can start to run in line with the winter soldier plot.

Totally! The char I had in mine was actually a part of Roger's Secret Avengers too, so he won't be out of place.

While Red Skull with an army and the tesseract sounds fun, I think our own version of the winter soldier would be awesome. Maybe have a little bit of both of those concepts involved?

I'm also a big fan of cap and Brubaker's run!

I'd be up for it if I could play as another char in the marvel universe. He'd be a low tier char that hasn't been introduced in the movies, but his background could fit as a consultant or liaison to shield.
